Really fun and very eclectic ambience with small outdoor patio seating area. The menu is geared towards healthy options and the food quality is fantastic. The servers are so nice and accommodating, greeting with a smile! We had a group of 7 and arrived early for our reservation. They were able to accommodate us immediately. As an 11:45am reservation we had the choice of breakfast or lunch menu and it's quite a variety of foods with vegetarian and vegan options as well. On a whim, we stopped off at the Adams Mountain Café in Manitou Springs Colorado. As we were sitting there waiting for our food and we were seeing the portions come out, the word that came to mind was everything was thoughtful. Everything was healthy and thoughtful. We ended up getting a spicy noodle salad and a cashew chicken sandwich thing chicken salad sandwich with some cashews on a very dense and healthy bread. Even the seating seemed like it was curated so kind of cool place definitely something you shouldn't be afraid to stop and get a bite to eat very friendly people. This one has felt like its been on my list forever. We finally got around to checking it out last week. The first thing thay jumped out was the atmoshpere. Each chair looks like it was uniquely thrifted, the warm lighting, and flower wallpaper that blended well. We ended up getting something simple and while it was good I would probably get sowmthing else next time. The eggs were fluffy and potatos were well cooked but it was a bit undersalted. They don't serve pork bacon but I believe they had turkey sausage and they were seasoned well. They also offer shrimp as a side and you can buy by the piece. I felt like I was in a local art museum and only wish I'd had a chance to learn more about collection. I ordered Rockey's Special (toast, poached eggs, seasonal fruit). It came looking like the most aesthetic breakfast plate I've seen in my life. I felt like I was at a fancy tea shop! I loved the artful arrangement of the fruit. The main disappointment was I had asked for butter on the side, and the toast came both buttered and with butter on the side. Both my partner and I wonder if they have some kind of vegan butter substitute because it did not taste or smell like butter, and this place seems health conscious. Our waiter was kind enough to bring me dry toast when I pointed it out. Where this place really shined though was the lasagna meal. It was so fresh and flavorful with heart chunks of tomato and the right amount of cheese (more like true Italian versus Americanized versions that just drip with melted cheese). The ambiance was the best!!! They had wonderful Impressionist-style paintings along the walls. Great for a date or a one on one. The food was stellar as well. The name might be a personal bias for me but Adam's Mountain Cafe is a cozy escape from the elements with large portions and a wide variety of entrees to serve all guests! Vegan options for both Breakfast and Lunch menus though I got Heuvos Rancheros which turned out great with well-rounded flavor and warmth. The latte was good and the first ive ever received with a design made from the creamer. I also tried their Snowcapped cider which is on par with angry orchard on draft! The service was good, after the initial interaction my host opened up a little more. The ambience is one of my favorites with the theme being an ornately decorated mountain. lodge. Every part of the space feels like a novelty of Western living and every part is used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere! I ordered breakfast potatoes as a part of my meal and it was literally slices from a whole potato that were put on a flat top grill and grilled on both sides, no seasoning and not fully cooked. The food was overpriced and the service was extremely slow. We sat for 15 minutes waiting for the check. There was only 8 people and 3 other tables in the place besides us. We were finally offered a water refill when the check was dropped by. Then it took another 5 minutes to get our card back. The prices were way too high as well. The shrimp and grits, French toast, pancakes, and the Green Mountain Falls (get it "Christmas style" with both red and green chili). The coffee is great, but the spiced tea is next-level. Dinner is just as incredible, start with the pear and goat cheese crostini, then go for the lasagna or salmon. And don't skip dessert: the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream is unforgettable. Bonus: their Manhattans are off the hook. Waitstaff are super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate a specific request that one of our party members had. Appetizer dishes were still on the table by the time they brought the main course, and then our main dishes were still on the table by the time they brought our dessert. Not enjoyable to have dirty dishes left on the table. The happy hour was nice, cocktails were only eight dollars and appetizers were half price. However, it literally took about 15 to 20 minutes to receive our drinks, even though the restaurant was not completely full. It almost seemed like they were taking their time so that there was no time to order a second drink before happy hour expired. The main dishes took less time to prepare and bring to the table than the drinks did. All of that being said, the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal, the appetizers and the drinks. We've driven by Adam's numerous times and never saw it before. Best to follow the directions. They do have many vegan options but not a lot of gluten free, maybe more than most? The atmosphere is woodsy and clean and quiet. Parking is ample. My husband liked the Bahn mi. I got the Tibetan bowl. Lots of veggies and not a lot of rice. The tofu was tasty. But something just lacked in the dish. The flavour was ok but maybe it needed more nuts. Now that we know where it is we'll try it again. This is such a cute breakfast spot in manitou springs and it's mostly vegan food! I was blown away by all of the vegan options, but they also offer nonvegan foods as well. They have a unique twist to breakfast. They don't have Benedict's, breakfast and gravy or some of your more traditional dishes, but they offer some really great options. I got the avocado omelet without cheese and added some extra veggies. It was delicious and I loved the addition of more vegetables! It came with toast that was actually really amazing. I'd highly recommend asking for their raspberry jam because it is to die for. The ambiance is very nice too. Very cozy and homey vibe.
