I happened upon RMCF walking to my gate. I've heard good things and when I'm on vacation time, I don't mind dropping the coins. Customer service was nice, she answered my questions no hesitation. I didn't want to do too much so I just bought the pecan apple and that's it. It cost me over $11 and frankly I wasn't blown away. I took my apple to go and ate it late that day. The place is small, as you can imagine in an airport, but they have other cases that done face outwards fully of candy by the pound. Too rich for my blood, figuratively speaking as well. read more

Lots of different chocolates and candied covered apples. Very pricey but delicious as their milk chocolate has a nice taste to it. Haystacks with coconut had excellent coconut flavor. Pretzel was a bit stale inside but the milk chocolate made it better. The red candy apple was very different in a good way, it had a cinnamon taste to it, but be warned, the coating is very chewy and sticky. read more

They usually make them fresh in the store at the regular Rocky Mountains, but these shops are too small to do that. It doesn't matter, it still tasted spectacular. In addition to candy and chocolates there was a small amount of sandwiches and drinks offered. I was solely interested in the candy coated apples that were located in the front of the store. They had everything from s'mores to peanut butter & chocolate available. I picked two basic apples covered in caramel and rolled in pecans. The service that I received was warm and welcoming. These are the best gourmet apples. Whenever I find a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, I have to stop and get one. I almost missed my flight because I saw this in the airport. And if I had miss my flight, I wouldn't have even been mad. I didn't, but that's how good these apples are. My favorites are: the sprinkles apple, the pecan bear apple, the apple pie apple, and the cheesecake apple. The staff will also slice them for you so you can eat them immediately, but be careful because they'll begin to brown once they're cut. If you're ever in the vicinity of one of these, I encourage you to grab an apple. They do have chocolates and fudge and other goodies as well, but I'm an apple aficionado. read more

And reviews where someone says they don't usually go for food X but got it anyway and 'meh'... well if you don't like said food item anyway, why review it! Anyhoo... noticed this gem near the B14 gate in the United terminal. My husband doesn't usually go for caramel apples because they are such a bear to eat but I was drooling for one after an awesome dinner at the new Tortas place. I got a caramel apple that was covered with peanuts and drizzled with chocolate. The friendly woman working the counter cut it and we were on our merry way. We curled up, plugged in the iPad to start a movie and chowed down on the most amazing caramel apple. Having it chopped makes a HUGE difference - an attempt at lady-like eating of this treat is MUCH more attainable and it is far less messy. My husband kept commenting on how amazed he was at how good it tasted. They aren't cheap but nothing at an airport is and this was an awesome treat. While they looked good, caramel apples aren't really my thing, so I went inside for a cashew cluster.
