Rocky Rococo always delivers! I love the super slice deal with breadsticks and a soda. Fantastic.

Italian Sausage Regular Slice - the best sausage ever! Pizza is average

I remember Rocky Rococo from my childhood. My mom thought it was the worst pizza ever. I was kinda intrigued by it. Was always blinded by the awesomeness of their Italian sausage. It's just so good that I'll accept their pizza being mediocre. Had to give it a try after driving past it again on a quick holiday visit to my hometown. Loved their quick drive through and reasonable prices. I want to say $7 for a slice and breadsticks. Their Italian sausage is still the best ever. I've never had sausage as big and flavourful any other place. 5 stars for this alone! The pizza is thick and doughy. Moderately cheesy. I like the flavour of the cheese. Good portion and ratio of sauce. Sauce is nothing to write home about, a bit thin, but it works. Breadsticks come with 2 ramekins of marinara, likely same as on their pizza. They could probably give one out and customers would be happy. I didn't use any as I was eating while driving (passenger ;). They have a definite artificial buttery taste. They were alright. About as expected. Overall, if they didn't have the sausage they do, it would be a 2.5 star establishment. Their 4 star average is very generous I must say.

This location was really good! Everything was HOT! Definitely will come back to this location again. I loved that I ordered nacho cheese with my pizza and that was hot as well!

Just as delicious as I remember! I have missed Rocky Rococo since they moved out of Rockford IL over 25 years ago. I've been living in North Carolina for the last 19 years and am in Milwaukee visiting family. What a treat

I have been a fan of Rocky's going back to my days at UW-Madison in the mid-1980s. There were locations on State Street and another just off State Street & Gilman. I ate at Rocky's at least 3-4 times a week. I would get a slice of Sausage and a Whole Wheat muffin. It cost around $2 and it was line two meals. So, going to Rocky's tasted great and saved me money. Later, a friend told me to try the Sausage & Roni Super Slice. It's been my Go-To slice for 30+ years. I have been to most of the Rocky's from SE WI to Madison and the quality is consistent and that Italian Sausage is sooo good. In fact, the Italian Sausage is some of the best you'll find and right up there with the homemade sausage at some of my friends' Italian restaurants. Not to mention there is a LOT of nostalgia for me whenever I go to Rocky's. It's great to support a locally owned and operated company lije Rocky Rococo's and their local franchisees.

This old school, family owned restaurant is very much a neighborhood classic that has stood the test of time. The thin crust is the perfect base for the amazingly tangy Italian sauce. The toppings are generously portioned, and the pizza (available in 12" & 14") is cut into squares, which make it all too easy to eat more! We started with the fried mushrooms and eggplant, which were very generously sized. Our table of four barely made a dent. The breading on both was great, trapping in the heat, flavors and firmness of the veggies. The eggplant especially, which in my experience can be mushy, was excellent. I loved how it was served with lemon wedges. The tartness of the lemon mixed with the zest of the marinara sauce made the eggplant something I could have eaten just by itself. The restaurant has a bar area first, then a dining room adjacent. The tables here are packed in pretty tight. We ended up at a corner table, and could bump elbows with the people sitting next to us. Still, everyone was respectful of each other's space and no issues were had. Our servers maneuvered through effortlessly and quickly.

Every time I go, I always think, "They come to take orders or simply check on us the perfect amount"--I know they want to ensure I've got everything I need but they don't feel overbearing (this is regarding servers or the bartender). Finally, I order the same thing each time: garden salad with house Italian dressing and the special pizza (sausage, mushroom, onion). Salad is crisp and the pizza is consistent--the best.

I love the location of this restaurant, a cozy little nook set apart from the business of downtown but still so accessible! With events happening at the fiserv and new music venue in the deer district, it was a welcome reprieve from the action. The restaurant itself is lively but chill - is there a word for that!? lol very laid back, friendly and informed staff. We were able to snag a seat at the bar which was great - it's probably got 12-15 seats. Full dinner service too! My husband got a mezcal old fashioned (not on the menu) and I got a spicy margarita. Both were great! As for food, the menu is eclectic, but everything looks and tasted great! We got 2 appetizers, the bruschetta and stuff pepper - both were delish!! And then we shared the braised beef risotto topped off the night with a spirit free strawberry Fresca & churros (SO GOOD). Great experience for deciding last minute and getting a walk in spot.

The drink menu features plenty of specialty cocktails, and I took our server's recommendation and ordered the Whisky Paloma, which was an excellent choice. I loved the chili dust along the rim. If you like pizza, they have an interesting selection featuring ingredients such as peaches, figs, and bacon. It was hard to decide, but I ended up ordering the Burrata pizza with grilled peaches, arugula, and honey. It was very good and would have been even better with a few more grilled peaches. I also ordered the grilled octopus because, if it's on the menu, I just have to try it. It was very good, along with the accompanying roasted potatoes. I prefer my octopus well grilled and firm, and this preparation was a bit softer than I would have liked. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a little disappointing. It was both very cold, as though it had just been thawed, and a bit soggy. Service: The service was very good throughout the evening. We were seated right away, and our server did a nice job of getting us settled in. The drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we felt well attended to throughout the meal. Thanks, Robert! Atmosphere: The building is a gem, with old brick on the outside and a modern, relaxing design on the inside. There is a foyer where guests are greeted and can wait for their tables. The wood wall treatments and lighting are inventive and upbeat. The many hard surfaces make the acoustics a bit loud, but we were still able to have a conversation comfortably. Overall, it was a very good experience. With a bit more attention to some of the final touches on the food, this could have been an even better experience. We would enjoy coming back again.

We have ordered garlic knots, cheese pizza and the margherita pizza multiples times- summer of 2025 however, now we can clearly conclude that they have downgraded their service and food. Previously we had fluffy garlic knots, smothered in sauce and parmesan however now they are serving burnt pizza crust with a sprinkle of parmesan in place of what they are advertising on their website. The pizza dough was still raw and not edible. Perhaps management has changed, as their phone number and location within the building also have and the previous menu is no longer offered which supports this theory. We did order close to closing time and inquired whether it was too late to place an order however they proceeded to take our order regardless. We would have been more satisfied if they had let us know it was too late and they would not be able to provide the quality service we had been given before. Upset to say that we will no longer be ordering from brute, they have officially lost their game.
