When we bought and renovated our house a few years ago, we hired a different attic cleaning company to rodent-proof and clean & sanitize the attic (including removal and replacement of the old insulation) due to obvious rodent activity. Fast forward 3 years and when we noticed a few rat droppings in our garage, we knew we had to jump on this issue quickly before winter set in. So we immediately called Rodent Control Inc. Sean showed up on short notice and confirmed our fears that our friendly neighborhood rodents had found a way back into our attic. Within a week, Rodent Control sent a team of 7-8 workers who spent a full 8-hour day removing our contaminated insulation, cleaning our attic, and sealing roof, wall, and other gaps, applying additional screening to eave and crawlspace vents, etc. They found many areas in our garage and on the roof that the previous attic company missed or just never bothered to seal. Rodent Control has set traps and are now in the process of catching any remaining rats to certify that the house is rodent free prior to installing new insulation. Sean and the team at Rodent Control were quick to respond to our needs and have been helpful with accommodating our availability around the Thanksgiving holiday. I've lived at my house for 18 years and never had I ever had any mice or rat problems, but lately with the cold and rainy weather, maybe they were sheltering in my house. I found rat droppings in dining room and living room and tried all kinds of traps and failed. I finally called Rodent Control - the pros! The receptionist was very nice and calm when I called with, "please help me, I have a mouse in my house, and this is not the Mickey I want in my house." She was very nice and understanding and scheduled the next available timeslot that was convenient for me. Inspection: Daniel called me and let me know his arrival time on inspection day. He thoroughly inspected the outside, attic, and crawl space. I showed him where Mickey was leaving "presents" for me in the dining room and living room. I was very scared of the rats and he calmed me down by explaining their typical pattern. And then gave me treatment options after showing my pictures of where the holes/gaps were. He worked with me to get the most appropriate option and the most convenient day. Treatment: The crew of 2 came out to treat my house. They were prompt and very friendly. They sealed up all the holes and gaps outside my house, including adding metal screens to all the vents. Then, they cleaned my attic, crawl space, and dining/living area. They also sprayed my house the attic/crawl space with pheromone neutralizer, leaving my space with a lovely citrisy smell. They set traps in the areas and will check on me in about a week. At the end, they walked me through all the things they did. Follow-up: After the treatment, Daniel asked me to check the traps the next day. So far, no rats in the traps. Maybe Mickey got the eviction notice? I haven't found any new evidence of rats and will keep an eye on the particular locations. Daniel will follow up in about a week to remove the traps. I am very happy that Rodent Control is very thorough, easy to communicate with, and friendly during these stressful times. Having Mickey in the house is not fun at all. I highly recommend them. We had a pretty bad rodent infestation in our attic, and this company came to our rescue! Rats had decided that our attic was a great place to hang and we had a couple die up there too. I contacted Rodent Control, and they were able to come out asap to give us a quote. I had previously contacted a few other companies to get quotes, but had delayed starting the project. I felt that Rodent Control's quote was right in line with other quotes. Zack Katz, our lead contact on the project, was great! He communicated and checked in every step during the process. We had Rodent Control rodent proof and remove/install insulation in our attic. The rodent proofing team even went so far as to paint the exterior of our house where they added some concrete for the rodent proofing (by the base of the house). All off the teams were easy to work with and the office was great at communicating too. Sean from Rodent Control came out to our home to give us an estimate. He peeked in the attic and peeked under the house, then told us it would be $5300 to clean and sanitize, but we could get a discount for cash. Additional discount for lying and saying we heard about them from Yelp, and even more discount for lying and saying we needed them to remove attic insulation (there is no insulation in the attic). He was supposed to follow up by sending a contract that same night but we never heard from him again. We are not impressed with his lack of professionalism and will not be using this company. UPDATE: Less than five minutes after posting this, one of the owners called me to protest this review. He was unprofessional and pushy. I hung up. He called again, and I didn't answer. My first recommendation is to make sure you have no entry points in your house so you don't need a service like this. It's insane how destructive rodents can be. The business itself when scheduling mandated that I the homeowner must be there even though my leasee was home. For any and all other types of jobs including a prior rodent control service, I've never had to be there but this company demanded I be there or bo service. Then when service was done later in the week, there was a 2% online payment fee. My wiring was direct from my account so there was no credit card deduction to the business so didn't necessarily like having to pay this fee but when your busy at work And unable to come in person to pay what other choice do we have. We want to thank Ally and her excellent, courteous, and efficient crew for ridding our home of rats we didn't realize we had until 2 days ago. We naively thought we had a few mice, but the gnawing and scratching sounds were incessant, and we had no idea who to call. Rodent Control had impressive reviews, so we called, and Ally came out the same day for a free estimate. She entered our attic and crawl space and came out with photos confirming the presence of rats and droppings throughout. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Her quote included removing all of the filthy insulation, cleaning and sanitizing all areas, inspecting and sealing exterior entry points and setting traps to ensure rodents were gone. Ally was able to schedule a crew for the next day! The crew of four worked most of the day with drop cloths everywhere minimizing disruption and mess. Rodent Control plans to come back weekly for the next 3-4 weeks to check traps. In about a month, once there is no evidence of rodents, new insulation will be installed. I had consulted with few companies to resolve rodent treatment. Few companies mentioned to change newly installed insulation in crawl space. When Sean arrived first time, he did thorough check and upfront said there is nothing required in crawl space except rodent proofing. Other companies do the attic cleaning and insulation installation on same day. Rodent control is different. Once they clean the attic they waited 3 weeks before insulation installation. They came every week to check the traps and whatever problem they found they resolved it. Sean was very responsive and understood my concerns. I had a gap close to one of the foundation wall which needed to be filled with cement. He sent team separately to fix that. This is a 5-star company where you don't need to worry about anything. We had a rodent or rodents chewing up some below-the-floor furnace ducting under our living room, dining room, breakfast area. I think they did a credible job ... they arrived on time and were polite and, I think, effective ... but at a very high price, details below. The estimator had earlier described all the work that would be done, and it was an impressive list. We really did want to get rid of the problem, so we signed the contract. In retrospect, we should have sought a couple of other estimates ... but we didn't want the critter or critters breeding. A crew of three came and worked four hours (including going to HomeDepot to buy some screening material) ... 12 man-hours ...for $5,200. A couple of inspections then followed the next week ... each of them taking 10 minutes for one person. $5,200 seemed rather exorbitant. I called the office and they connected me with the owner. I tried to engage in a conversation, but the owner just talked loudly over anything I tried to say, so there was no real communication. The area of customer service was disappointing, to say the least. Now, within a couple of hours of posting the first draft of this review, the owner sent the local manager to ask me to take the review down. He was polite and, unlike the owner, easy to talk to. The owner is lucky to have him. The problem seems to me to be the business model. Rather than first assessing the situation (area involved, amount of material to be removed, etc.) and then quoting a price, the quote is just based on square footage. That led to a high quote for us when the actual cleanup and removal part of the project was very small. (The sealing of vents and passageways throughout the house would have been the same in any case, and that's the part that took the 12 man-hours.) Because the local manager made a good effort, though still without resolving the basic issue, I've raised my review from two-star to three-star. An attempt at good customer service does count for something. I do think we need to shop around a bit more next time, however. read more

Zack and his team are very professional and came in timely manner. The workers covered the walking and working area with plastic and rug to protect our floor and carpet. Their job is very thorough and Zack always come to check the final insulation , to make sure everything went well and went as promised.
