Not my first time here. But probably my last. Came in on a Sunday night this time. About an hour and 20 min before close. We sat down at a table and it looked like it hadn't been wiped down. So we did it I ourselves because the waitress seemed to be really busy. When she got to us she let us know the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. Ok no problem. We ordered a few drinks and our food. My bf got the The Ranch House or something like that and I got the Sam Sham. Took us probably 15 minutes to get our drinks even though it wasn't really that busy. And at least 30 to get our food which I thought was strange because again it isn't busy and the kitchen would be trying to close up at that point. The fries came out lukewarm but seasoned well. My bf loved his burger. It looked really good. My burger on the other hand was a mess. The bacon was undercooked and over cooked at the same time. That's talent. The ends were burnt crispy black. And the middle was undercooked and chewy so I had to take that off the burger. The onion ring I got on the side instead of on the burger was bland and cold and not crispy but chewy. The bottom bun was so soggy it fell apart in my hand when eating it. The burger though was tasty after removing the bacon. When the server came to check in us it was literally a drive by. She didn't stop when she asked "everything good?" So that's cool... and when trying to get the check it took foreverrrrr!! Over all it was like $60 for 2 burgers fries and 3 drinks. A little pricey for a mediocre meal. So strike for bad service, strike for cleanliness and strike for burger mishaps. Not sure I will return since this trip was so lack luster. read more

I love the ranch house add onion fried strings! My favorite default is a battle burger doesn't catch my eye. Also love the battle burger concept! I use to live across the street and would go during the summer to get a burger and their fainting goat drink. They limit 2, it's some kind of alcohol(s) and a beer, so refreshing! read more

Rodeo Goat is the goat of cheese fries! A hard fight with @snuffersburgers these cheese fries deserve a look! The serving size is larger and man were they yummy, especially dipped in their signature bbq sauce and ranch if you're that type :P The location was set away from the rest and managed to create a moment and feeling of getting away. A great view on top of a ledge a really great staff -- these guys get a Super Dooper Yum. The pretzel bun was a good element to the sandwich I ordered but was not my favorite -- that's okay though I'll be back to try another. read more

SO. MANY. OPTIONS! If you're looking for a Texas-style burger joint, Rodeo Goat is the place for you. We started with the cheese fries surprise and it was enough for all 5 of us! It comes with cheddar cheese, chili, jalapenos, bacon and a side of ranch, so definitely split it! For burgers, my boyfriend got the Chaca Oaxaca and I got the Ranch House. The chaca oaxaca burger was a bit too much for me with the beef + chorizo patty, but my boyfriend loved it. The fried egg in it was a nice touch. I LOVED the Ranch House! The ranch mayo was delish. The burgers were a bit too greasy for me, but overall they were GOOD! They have so many unique options for burgers (beef, chicken, turkey, vegan, impossible?!) and sides! They also have a HUGE selection of drinks including wine, cocktails, and beers. The patio would be nice for a warm day. BUT, you will need a nap after eating here! Overall, it was a nice experience and I could see myself returning. read more

I heard a lot of good things but it wasn't for me. I had an appetizer with fries and cheese and chili and it was good but the challenge burger was over spiced and kinda gross. I'm willing to try it again next time I'm near there but only because I hear the challenge burgers are hit or miss. I thought the service was well even though they were out of quite a few beer options but it's hard to consider that their fault when it's the vendors struggling to meet orders. I thought the overall atmosphere was OK but I really thought the building looked a little too incomplete and dirty for me. With all that said I gave it three stars because they really was half good and 2 1/2 stars isn't an option. Give it a try... or not. Happy Fooding!! read more

My review of Rodeo Goat is based off of 2 visits, 3 days apart, with different results. Day 1: The drinks were great and tasty. Day 2: The drinks were nasty. the menu says "If you are not happy don't just sit there and suffer let a server know to fix it." I informed out server that my drink was terrible, then 2 other people who had the same drink said it was nasty. Her response was "who cares about your cocktail this isn't Texas road house this is rodeo goat." I ended trashing it and getting a different drink. I ordered their house drink "Ranch Water." It came out and was also terrible. It was supposed to be a Topo with tequila and lime juice. It was just a Topo with lime juice. No tequila. Day 1: We had an appetizer of loaded fries. It was delicious. I said several times that it was the best French fries I had ever had. We went back to work telling our co workers how great it was. They had the perfect level of crunch and didn't get soggy. Day 2: We brought back coworkers to try the fries. They were soggy and had no crunch. Day 1: We had the Dip trio. The queso and Salsa was very good. Day 2: The queso and salsa was still very good. Day 1: Super nice, super friendly, super great waitress. Day 2: Slow, uncaring, slightly rude waitress. Day 1: We tried the goat balls dessert. Something in or on them was spicy. Like they had been cross contaminated. Our server tried one and agreed that they were not right. She went back to the kitchen, they claimed we were all wrong. Day 2: I ordered the Chaca Oaxaca. The fried egg was already busted when I got it spewing egg all over the burger and plate. Making the bun soggy before I got to me. Who knows how long it had been pooped. The outside of the egg was cooked very poorly. It looked like styrofoam. Overall, I had a a great experience and a bad experience 48 hours apart. I was a huge fan and now i'm not. Its just not worth the risk to me of if I'm going to have a good meal or not. There is too many good restaurants in the area to go somewhere where it is such a roll of the dice. read more

More bun than patty, pictures are extremely misleading, can't remember if the fries were great (maybe they weren't so great then, right?). It wasn't a bad burger but I was disappointed because everyone at this hotel kept talking about it but it really isn't all that. Above avg but not exceptional like Sky Rocket Burger. Came in on a busy Friday night and our waitress was up front that the kitchen was running really slow. We appreciated her honesty and still chose to stay. I got the Sugar Burger and it so good!! I loved sitting outside and how relaxed it felt. Definitely will be back! read more

Food: they have big red soda!!! Burgers were so juicy!! We stuck to the basic options as opposed to the more unusual combinations but everything was great. Service: seat yourself style. Great burgers! I love the variety of different burgers they offer, including 2 that are rotating features that have a dueling order count visible in the restaurant. The cheese fries are some of the best in town! We got no surprise on the fries, which means no chili on top. Great big and open atmosphere with lots of TV's. Almost a bar vibe - but family friendly. Ok so I'm from Chicago and we have some of the best food, so I've been told while visiting here in Dallas. Soooo...after the Cowboys game we looked for somewhere to get some FRIES before goin to our hotel accross the street. We saw RODEO GOAT and decided to check it out. Baaabeee...they have a burger menu that me and my bestie found amazing! We love spice so we chose the the Bodacious with habanero cheddar and the HOT Bastard. Did I mention that we love FRIES!??? They are good for sharing...and freshly hand cut too. Our server was Sterling and she had the warmest and patient personality, even assisting us with choosing our meals and drinks. I had a Buffagoat and my friend had the goat llama for our drinks, both AMAZING and made with love by Sterling. If you're ever in Dallas, make the trip and pay them a visit. Burgers. And good ones at that. So popular I could barely find a place to park. Even as a party of 1, I needed to sit at the bar (which was crowded and busy) there are bar games, high top tables, a very industrial vibe the entire restaurant. The open kitchen had metal plates of craft burgers constantly streaming from it. They have quite a few beers on draft and I was able to taste a few before commiting to one. Forget the sides, I got two burgers. They allow you to customize them with what kind of meat you want and they always have two burgers battling for the monthly winner, so the menu is always changing. Toppings range from goat cheese to purple onions, fresh fried egg with bacon and truffle aioli. All was good. Definitely worth a trip. read more

A good solid cheeseburger is probably one of my favorite things to eat. I like my burger seasoned well, juicy, and thick. Rodeo Goat's burger just did not live up to the hype. I don't know if they had an off day or what, but their burgers were very, very underwhelming. However their cheese fries were the star and the service was good! There is also a parking lot (yay), and we came on a Saturday night around 7pm and didn't have any trouble finding a spot. Fairly large lot IMO, but the lot was filled to almost full when we got there. I'm half convinced all the highly rated places in Dallas have parking lots lol. My friend got a regular cheeseburger (DCC), and I got, The Telluride, a cheeseburger with hatch chilies. I substituted the poblano goat cheese for cheddar cheese (fail don't do that). The cheddar cheese on my burger came cold and was a big clumped ball, not even close to being melted. The burger itself was substantial, and the pickles on the side they give you are really good. My friend and I both agreed it just wasn't that tasty. The burgers didn't arrive that warm, meat was under seasoned, and over all it was a dry burger. For the price, about ~$10, I would pass. Skip the burgers and come for the cheese fries. They are ginormous and easily shareable with a few friends. The cheese is real gooey cheddar cheese, melted perfectly over crisp thickish cut fries. It's all topped with pickled jalapeños. On Wednesday's they are even half off! Win! read more

If I were to include the atmosphere and ambiance into my rating I would give it a five, but if I'm rating just my burger I would say four stars. I had the Brad Sham burger (can we all agree that the name is ridiculous?), the supporting elements were all delicious but the meat itself lacked flavor. If the burger had sufficient flavor, it would probably be near perfection. What I was extremely happy with is that they cooked the burger a true medium with more than enough pink to make me happy. A lot of places tend to over cooked their mediums. The Cheese Fries Surprise is actually chili cheese fries with bacon and jalapeño. Those were very good. My lactose intolerant gf couldn't resist chowing down on them! Even though the menu doesn't indicate that you can buy these as a half order, you can. If you don't have someone helping you out with the fries then definitely get the half order. The chocolate fried pie was excellent! read more

Not gonna lie, this was a TOP NOTCH burger. Wow. The ranch hand burger with grilled onions was outstanding and so incredibly filled with flavor in each bite. The bun was unreal and so so delicious. Covid protocols - they had the digital menu. Masks and gloves were worn on all workers. Distancing felt pretty good inside. For my second time inside a restaurant during this pandemic, this was well worth it. read more

we chose to eat here because of the amount of reviews that they had. We were pretty disappointed in the level of service we got. The burgers were decent, but our appetizer, which was fries, was disgusting. we ask that the fries come out with our food so that they would still be hot and fresh. They were so nasty and appeared to have been sitting for quite some time. our waiter was incredibly slow and spent more time behind the bar than tending to customers. I think he only came back to our table twice and then never returned. I had to ask another waitress to please bring our checks. pretty disappointed. read more

We went excited that they had a patio that allowed dogs. Well , the patio is very run down and it was very muddy. Yuk, we always bring a small towel or bed for our 18lb pup. The waitress was so rude and did not like where we put his bed, she made us move it. The food is mediocre, over cooked tiny burger . Not again. read more

Let me start out by saying I am not a burger person. If there is anything else on the menu I would typically order that but my boyfriend had been eyeing this place for a while so we decided to go. WOW was it delicious. This might actually make me crave hamburgers. I got the bodacious which our server says was his favorite and it was great! Not too much bbq perfect balance of tang and savory with a little crunchy! Would order again in a heartbeat. My boyfriend got the Lucy Burger which was also great! The inside was fun, you share tables with other parties but there was a divider between. We came at around 7 on a Friday and it was packed but we were seated immediately. We split a side of fries and the goat chips. They were both okay. The goat chips were sweet and savory and kind of reminded me of a bbq flavor. The fries were good but a little soggy. Because we shared both they came in bowls which it seems we got more than if we had each ordered one side. I can not wait to come back to try more of the burgers! read more

Veronica at the bar is super cool. Open Kitchen and Bar area give this place a big & friendly vibe. A couple of TV's around the bar - could use a few more and bar TV's should always be the biggest possible for that space - IMHO. Ordered the Cowboy Cobb - beautiful steak salad with fresh guacamole and tomatoes. Steak came out a bit under-cooked - no worries though as a quick return to the kitchen brought it back perfect in temperature. Fun place / Great visit! read more

Tough review, I enjoyed the ambiance of the patio. I felt like I was in the mountains. It's dog friendly and it's fine unless your dog is not dog friendly and freaks at the sight of other dogs..though not the restaurants responsibility. The food was delicious, my blue goat was fully of wonder flavor and cooked just right. Beer selection was good. The downfall was the service. My server seemed challenged and forgetful. Took awhile to get a drink. Not just for me. The expediters were confused. Seems like some logistical issues. But the food is too god to not try again read more

Let's be real: We came for the cheese fries. They're amazing! I ordered the Bodacious burger. It was pretty good. They're big burgers, and it was hard to choose because there are so many great options on the menu. The beer selection is great. This place gets pretty busy, and the parking lot is crazy, but I'll be back to try the other burgers. read more

To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Drake's met all my expectations and more. A huge thank you to the manager stopping by to make sure all was well throughout our meal. By far one of the BEST burgers I've ever had! Not only that, but our waitress Mae was outstanding! I'll tell y'all, I've been in hospitality for many years, but this girl was a breath of fresh air and a ball of energy all in one. We just came in from a rough day at work and she was attentive from the moment we sat down, greeting us with waters without being asked, engaging us in the menu and answering all our questions- she had a whole schpeal since we had never been ( and she's quick to mention she's never met a burger she doesn't like from the goat! Well said!). She helped my partner choose a burger called the Chaca (what she described as a "fiesta in our mouths"- couldn't have said it any better after a bite!) and I chose the Brad Sham with crispy bacon as she recommended! We also started with the steaming pile (I won't ruin the surprise for y'all, but it was 10/10 in my book!) Mae also took the time to go through the extensive list of beers that were presented to us even though we could tell she was busy; she insisted on bringing us tasters of the beer so we could find "something we love". I fell in love with the Peticolas Sit You Down or I'll Sit Down for You? Haha, it was something like that. Delicious. Bottom line. Super attentive waitress. Super personable. Funny- she told us a few family friendly jokes while we waited for our burgers- definitely enjoyed that! You can tell she loves what she does. Always a plus in my book! I'm in Dallas frequently for business. First time at rodeo goat. Went in last week for a late dinner. It was packed. There was a small wait for an inside table. Full bar. I decided to sit outside. Pros: the fans and misters, the cold beer and the service.* Cons: parking looks to be small. I walked from my hotel, so who knows. The service. It's a contradicting statement only because it was clear some of the staff didn't care about us. I sat at a long picnic table, next to several other groups, for almost 15 minutes, two brunette female servers clearly not very busy, sitting down with other tables, walking past my table, every couple minutes, one even made eye contact with me. However, no greet, no menu, no "hey, I'll be right with you." I walk inside to go grab a seat at the bar and I'm greeted at the door by a tall blonde, she's balancing a tray full of beers and several credit card books in her hands, but stops and asked if I was doing alright. I asked if she had a table available inside, explained I had been sitting outside for awhile without service. Right away, she apologized and grabbed a menu and asked where I wanted to sit. She followed me to the table I chose and brought water. While I was looking over the menu, she brought over a few tastes of newly tapped beers. That was a nice touch. Even turned on the preseason game for me. Reasonable prices. Good food. Mae was awesome. Attentive. And definitely turned my dinner experience around. I'll definitely be stopping back by. Used to be good, today my buddy and I both had the monthly special the peticolas burger at 11.50. it was billed as having Italian seasoning but was really bland and dry. I ordered mine medium rare while my bud did medium. Took 25 min to get which is a little long for here but they were on a wait. Runner shows w our burgers and slides them in front of us. I say, medium rare, he fumbles, ugh, umm, ehh. I am like can u tell from the pick? Umm yeah, yeah that's med rare. It wasn't, cut mine and it was all brown/gray, not a lick of pink. My buddies too. Now the special burger of the month. Ugh. Too much shit on the shingle. The slaw made me think of that jingle from the 70s , slip, sliding, away! Bacon, 1 strip on half the burger. Fried avocado slices, no flavor and cold. Onion ring, cold too. Either our food sat in window waiting to b run or they assembled items that had been pre prepped and fried. Our waiter was the saving grace, pretty easy on eyes, but as he even admitted, he was the worst waiter there. But the way that t-shirt fit, yum. He could of been dessert but we ordered his balls, the goat balls that is. They were good, not great. Like I said, waiter was heavenly hot, but not very good. I heard lots of hoopla about how amazing the hamburgers are at Rodeo Goat Ft. Worth. With that in mind when they opened in Dallas me and my partner wait no time to check this area out. With no doubt I can guarantee that, their hamburgers are among the best 5 hamburgers in Dallas now. The menu features many different options of hamburgers, including the Chaco Oaxaca, with steak and chorizo, avocado, pico de gallo, fried egg, queso fresco and Tabasco mayonnaise, and the Olivia Beloved, with green olive tapenade, lettuce, tomato, roasted red pepper mayonnaise subsequently other options with chopped cucumbers ,caramelized onions and herb cheese spread. The mixture of ingredients seem amazing and it gives a great flavor which resulted in wonderful fresh ground hamburgers with perfect collection of topping and totally fresh cut chips. In the event you are a burger lover, you will need to eat here at least once or even twice. Setting is new, informal and comfy, had a great first visit and loved quite good, fresh hamburgers and chips. Seriously. THE BEST BURGER IN DALLAS. Yeah, it's a "chain" (I guess?) but it's a local chain. Each location is so so so good. But Dallas is definitely one of my favorites. I love hitting them up for lunch. Get there early or go for a late lunch because it can get busy - even with COVID. But don't worry because they're spacing, safety steps, and all the cleaning they do completely put my mind at ease. I've also had several great curbside pickup experiences. Called in my order. Called when I got there. They brought my food right out to my car. No contact or anything like that. FOOD: I either go for the Bodacious or the simple DCC. Always fries and I'll get a mix of the Sour Chips and Sweet Chips sometimes if I'm feeling extra crazy. DRINKS: Incredible beer selection. Great local options and some of the best options from across the US. They have that Flying Saucer DNA, so of course they have great beer. The Moontang and the BLTX are awesome, too. YummO!!! 4 of us "over 50's" came here for a burger and to catch up. We were a bit surprised the place was not very full, but then we remembered it was Monday night. It is open seating so we wandered thru the dining area and settled on a booth. The place is comfortable and not pretentious but I did find the music pretty loud. That is only my criticism and nobody else in my group said anything about the loud music. Since we are all watching what we eat, both couples split a burger and an order of the chips. The burgers were great. The chips were great too. Two of us had a beer, one had water and the other an iced tea. We were full and satisfied and knew we would come back for more. Each couples bill was around $16 without a tip, but only because we shared a burger. We thought it was a great little burger place and can't wait to come back. Super delicious every time!! I've been here so many times and everyone loves it every time. I've gotten the brad sham several times, one with brie and caramelized onions (I forget the name), my husband got the sugar burger, which he thought was good but wouldn't get again. We often get burgers off the battle of the burgers, so I can't find the names now! But we've loved all of them. We've gotten the cheese fries surprise as a group of 5 a couple of times, it was okay but you have to eat it while it's hot because once it gets cold and soggy it's kind of gross. We usually just get the hand punched fries which are pretty standard and good. We love the outside seating and wish they had more tables. One of my favorite places for burgers in Dallas. This casual dining friendly and relaxed place serves up the tastiest and most delicious melt in your mouth burgers I've ever experienced. My favorite burger is the Candied Burger, which marvels the taste-buds with it's caramelized onions, grilled peaches, jalepeno jam and tantalizing candied bacon. The fries are fantastic and always fresh. If you're not in the mood for a burger I suggest the Cowboy Cobb salad, it's huge and you can split it between two people. The marinated steak grilled to perfection is tender and this is one of my favorite salads when I am doing the no carb diet. Rodeo Goat is hands down the best and I can't recommend it enough. read more

I can only write a review about the games and goat balls. Just with those two alone, Rodeo Goat deserves 4 stars! Spoiler alert on the goat balls - they are NOT real goat balls. Although I was excited that it might be, I was glad it was a dessert. A deliciously fried dough ball with brie cheese and some blackberry sauce on the side. Nom nom nom! I could have eaten the whole dish by myself. The menu has a LOT to offer (food and drinks) and I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking to chill and have a good time with friends. They have an awesome bar area and plenty of seating elsewhere. I can't wait to go back for a real meal (not just the dessert) and play some checkers! read more

Alright, hear me out. I don't play shuffle board, don't know how. HOWEVER, I do love a good drink and any place you can find a seat with good music. Enter Electric Shuffle. My friends and I honestly just popped in to see what the vibe was, and we notified a TON of empty seating. We took a table by the front window super close to the bar, and ended up spending most of the night here! The drink are super fab! You could order your usual vodka soda, sure. But WHY when there are fabulous specialty cocktails! Do yourself a favor and eyeball the drink menu. The bartender was great the entire night, very friendly and totally attentive when we walked up. Oh mannn where do I start?! I always think I've had the best burgers after I try so many of the best burger places, but once I ate here I think this lands in my top 2 favorites! It was extremely busy but the food wasn't too long of a wait - definitely worth the wait though. The steaming pile was recommended on Yelp so we got that and definitely getting it again when I come back soon. The burger was seasoned very well and high quality of meat. I got the Hot Bastard burger and my friend got the blue cheese burger. They both looked really good so we ended up splitting them in half so we could both try the burgers. I'll be back! read more

The Neil Young veggie burger was tasty and interesting but a little dry. Texas caviar is delicious. Salmon burger was yummy. Sweet potato homemade chips had a weird flavor. No one at our table was a fan. The fries are the hand cut fries and pretty good except had a lot of salt on them. And the goat balls for dessert are a must. Oh but if you want to go for lunch order quick because when we went on a Friday for lunch it took them 45 minutes to bring out the burgers after we ordered. Creative but extremely slow service for a burger joint and the food was generally decent but there were a few misses. Hence the 3 stars. read more

Rough looking sports bar with kind of a dark, industrial interior but fun with games and friendly staff. Of course there's a stuffed goat over the bar-that's what I wanted when I made my friend go there. We sat on a patio overlooking a creek and gender that was delightful in the early evening light. The food was all good, inventive flavor combinations. I had trouble deciding. We started with Jalopeno cheesy fries and a good margarita. Burgers are my everything, I understand that it's very unhealthy. But what can I do that they tempt me all the time! Especially in Rodeo Goat. They provide so tasty and juicy burgers that I can't stand do not eat everything. They use only fresh and with a high-quality meat. They have good balance of salt and species. Despite its peculiar name, I must say this place is quite fantastic! Plus, who can resist the charm of goats? The food is genuinely delicious, and it seems you can't make a wrong choice from the menu.
