    Outdoor Seating Area

Cute food court area located in the new river street area of San Juan Capistrano. There are several dining establishments including empanadas, pasta, cookies, and more. The indoor seating is limited, but there is plenty of seating outdoors. We tried the empanadas on our first visit - these were okay, but left us wanting a bit more. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying a few other food vendor options!

Stopped by for a bite and love the atmosphere and selection of foods. We ended up with the QUESA BIRRIA with burnt ends brisket, queso de la casa & hibiscus onions. The mango salsa on top really made these so very delicious, ask for extra! We also ordered the fresh Paparade pasta with bolognese sauce. The pasta was a bit over cooked and the sauce was just ok. We had fun walking around and enjoying this venue. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other eateries.

My review is based on the Rodeo River Street Food Hall only. The food options are limited and pretty pricey. We were here on a Monday afternoon around 1:30-2:00 and it was pretty empty. With the exception of the cookie shop and the flatbread/pizza option there was no food displayed so if you're not familiar with these particular eateries it's hard to make a decision on what to eat. While there is not a lot of seating inside the food hall the market place offers a nice outside atmosphere and tables that are shared with all the other restaurants and eateries in the marketplace. I hope these places do well but they need to do something to lure more people in as I was surprised there were no amazing tempting aromas welcoming us into the hall.

    Rib eye sandwich was delightful!

Despite the collection of flies in the window near our seat, the food was excellent we shared a rib eye sandwich on sourdough bread. The meat was cooked to perfection with perfect seasonings and flavors, tenderness was on point. Came with ranch style fries and homemade ketchup. Come here, but ask for fly fan.

Woooow! What a fun event space and restaurants! So many to choose from and something for everyone Dog and kid friendly! Plenty of outdoor seating - music playing and such a good vibe

This spot recently opened up in San Juan Capistrano and it has it all! There's a little indoor market with many restaurants including: Italian, Hawaiian inspired cuisine, Sushi, seafood and empanadas. It can get a little packed around lunch time, it's less crowded in the afternoon. They have lots of outdoor seating and grassy area for pets! They even have a McConnell's ice cream shop- originally founded in Santa Barbara. We would've stopped there, but the line was sooooo long so we opted for another spot. The bathrooms are so clean and modern, the fountains are a work in progress. I'd definitely come back, I was so impressed with my shrimp and chile lime ceviche bowl!

I always enjoy trying a new food hall spot. This one is very clean, new, modern and not too large but has a good variety of cuisines to choose from, rice bowls, sushi, Mexican, fried chicken, ice cream, boba tea, and so much more. Great indoor and outdoor dining options with great space for pets and kids alike.

Visited Rodeo River Street today during Swallows Day parade. Boy, was I in for a surprise by the parade. I'm saving it in my calendar for next year and will come back better prepared. We finally found our way through the massive crowds to Rodeo River Street. We came through the back way by the train track from Old Mission Road. It felt like walking through a country town. It had a nice vibe with all the bar and restaurant and music filling the air with different live bands playing or djs spinning. As we got to Rodeo River Street from the dusty dirt road, it was filled with food vendors. We only tried Bred's Hot Chicken. We had it in Costa Mesa at their other location. But, we heard they just opened a new one in San Juan Capistrano. We got the Chick & Waffles. My favorite way to eat is make it into a sandwich and drench it with the syrup! Definitely, recommend it! Their comeback sauce is a must with the hot chicken. They have a non spicy and spicy one to pair with the spicy level of the chicken you got. Their homemade banana pudding is such a treat if you're a sweet tooth eater like And to finish it off and wash everything down, we also got the Sweet Honey Ice Tea which is the SHiT! Get it? Will definitely be back again when in the area to try something new!

I really liked this new food hall/center in San Juan Capistrano right next to Zoomar's. I was surprised to see how big it was and the variety of restaurants and shops. I loved the ambience with country music playing in the background. Lots of restrooms, tables and chairs to enjoy your lunch. Great addition to this area.

The food court lots of options

Super cute new center in historic San Juan Capistrano. I haven't been down this way in a bit and was super happy to see this outdoor center. Many restaurants, food courts and shopping all in the beautiful OC. My friend and I went shopping after we ate and discovered so many cool places. I will def be back in the near future, beautiful place and everyone was so kind! Adult and kid friendly:)

Food options were great. We chose the kebab counter and ate in the courtyard. The food was cooked to order and delicious.

I am not surprised because there is something special about it. I love their mini cinnamon roll and my husband is a fan of their peanut butter cookie. A more accurate description would be "the-mall-that-accepts-anyone-as-a-tenant." I'm pretty sure the beauty supply store is a front for a money laundering operation (they are never, ever open), most of the other stores don't stay open until 8pm (and I'm not talking about just the watch/jewelry stores), and there are just a handful of random, funky places in here. All that aside - I don't really come here to "shop" - but it's a great place to mall walk. It's here that I learned mall walking was a real thing. Weekday mornings, you'll see a fair amount of retirees walking the mall, many before it opens. Not going to lie: my husband and I have turned into evening mall walkers. So, thanks, Mission Viejo for giving us a place to walk.. but not necessarily shop. I really think the leasing department needs to look at what would do well with the community, not just be desperate and sign anyone. Look at how other centers are thriving. 2026: 52/100

The Kaleidoscope, itself, is really run down and disappointing. Please read my separate review on my opinion of Kaleidoscope. If you ever consider going here, most definitely head to Union Market. This spot has a couple really cool retail stores, including candle making and events with crafts. They also have a good sized bar, hangout areas, foosball, corn hole and more! They even have live music! It was just so sad to see how empty it was and how many businesses have shut down. I'm thinking this space is probably used more for private events.
