We tried this new spot last weekend. Small place next to the Neighborhood. You literally can walk right past the door. Vibe was chill. Food was pretty good. We ordered buffalo chicken egg rolls (really tasty), burger, Korean wings, and tacos. Not a big place so I'm sure it will get crowded. Will come back for a drink at some point. read more

We walked in on a Friday evening based off of a friends recommendation and boy are we glad we did! The bar?absolutely stunning!! Great music and very chill vibe. We came in at 5:55 PM right on time for happy hour. Our bartender, Tiger, made the best recommendations. Chicken wings and old fashioned's were some of the best we've had in a very long time. The pimento cheese was also mouth watering. Tiger was a delight to talk to. We learned that he curated the entire cocktail menu and we were extremely impressed. We are from Chicago and wish we could take Tiger and Rodeo Room back to Chicago with us. Malicious Compliance was delicious. Tiger also made us a New York Sour (which we have never even heard of before) and we were blown away! This is a non paid for and honest review coming from a person that holds drinks and food to an extremely high standard. We will def be back when we visit SB! My friend and I sat at the bar and had such a good time!! Drinks are amazzzze and we were able to enjoy the special holiday drink menu that they had too! Food was super good, my friend still talks about the tater tots lol we were starving so we did not get a good before picture lol but we also had the cauliflower tacos and the brusselsprouts which was the perfect amount of food for us! Service was great too! Staff really looks like they're enjoying what they do! ( I just moved but am happy I tried it before I left! Will definitely go back when I'm in town!) read more

I went to rodeo room with a friend last night for happy hour. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. I had the cauliflower tacos and a strawberry basil chile margarita. The drink had the perfect spicy kick and was refreshing on a hot day. Both items were on happy hour menu and about $5 off their normal price which was a great deal. There were 3-4 food items and 2-3 drinks on the happy hour menu (5-6 pm). They have an extensive cocktail list separate from the happy hour menu as well as additional food options such as Brussel sprouts, wings, and other bites. The main room is very dark and i preferred to sit out on their small patio which is sectioned off from the old neighborhood patio. Parking is a bit of a challenge in the area depending on the time of day but you can find street parking nearby. I look forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu! read more

My friend and I finally made it to this place and we absolutely loved it!!! The inside and decor is such a vibe and beautiful. Small place but packs a punch with its menu and drinks!! We started off with cocktails , the "I'm fine" and a strawberry margarita. The "I'm fine" was perfect! Refreshing and delicious. The food was also all very scrumptious so I can't wait to go back and try more. We had pimento cheese with chips, Brussel sprouts , meatballs, and my favorite was buffalo chicken egg rolls. Great modern, speakeasy type cocktail bar! We were in search of a nice cocktail bar in the downtown Santa Barbara area while visiting as breweries and wineries aren't really our thing. Rodeo Room popped up as a sponsored bar. Its a great little whole in the wall sized bar with a classy vibe. Dark interior paint, low lighting and fun yet chill music playing. Bar seating, a few booths inside snd a simple, small yet cute patio outside. A great selection of hand shaken creative cocktails on the menu. They seem to specialize in bourbon drinks but have other mixed cocktails with rum, gin, etc. base. We ordered 4 drinks total. Enjoyed sharing & tasting them. Peanut butter falcon is peanut butter bourbon with salted honey. Served with a tiny peanut butter cup on a stick as garnish. Yum! My favorite! The fig bourbon drink was also great! Husband opted for the Strawberry fields drink that was a rum base with citrus and strawberry accents. Did not taste like strawberry at all to me. Was very citrus forward yet entirely tasty and refreshing. Husband also ordered a bourbon berry drink that had a rosemary garnish. Delicious! All the bartenders were welcoming enough but not super friendly. We asked sbout the decor and establishment name. We were curious if it is pronounced RodEEEo or RodAAAo. Answer: RodEEEO. Thus the longhorn skull and horns on a the wall make total sense. For the record, Died of natural causes not hunted per staff person. Could tell it mattered to them as I did not ask. Noticed male dominated crew of staff. One female on duty and 3 men. I mentioned we found on yelp as a sponsored bar and really enjoyed the place. The gentlemen staff person said they have been there about 14 months. As I write this review, I notice a $5 off if you mention Yelp. Wish the gentleman would have told me that when I happen to mention Yelp as the drinks run about $13-17 each. We did not try the food. However, looked like they had a few good light bite options. Was drawn in by all the five star reviews. Room has a cool vibe, lower lighting, black decor with dark woods. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. Just wasn't blown away by the menu. I ordered their queso and homemade chips along with the bar b q wings. The queso and the chips seemed good quality but I didn't catch much for flavor. I moved on to the Korean bar b q wings and, they were fine. Flavor was pretty good and they were cooked to the right temperature. Oh man, I'm excited for this post. Hubs and I were celebrating our anniversary. We initially made reservations at a nice restaurant but being that we had been out and about all day. We were cutting to close to our reservation time, so we canceled and hung out for a bit. Later on after resting we both got a bit hungry and he googled a bar around our area and this gem came up. We initially decided on it due to the fancy drinks. We love them fancy drinks! It was a 5 min walk from our hotel, so perfect. As we walked into Rodeo Room, the room was vibing, nice dim lights, great music playing and we got there early enough to be able to sit. We were greeted by two beautiful woman. Hubs ordered a PB Falcon and I got La vie en Rose. Then placed an order for food, Carnitas Street Tacos and Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps. Being a foodie and from LA, I was kinda skeptical. But, HOLY SMOKEEE!!! 1st the drinks were beautiful. Then food plating was simple and stacked which is rare to see that in a taco. When I took that first bite of the carnitas tacos, it was an explosion in my mouth. So many different flavors just suited so well in a taco. Then tried the Pork Belly and dang! 2 for 2! I couldn't believe it. I had to try the Cauliflower Street Tacos and BOY oh BOY. They were also so iffin perfect. Just typing this is making my mouth water. I def recommend! That was just 3 plates, I'm sure the rest of the plates must be as good. I can't wait to come back soon read more

We came across this place while in SB for the day and we were so happy that we did. The good was nothing short of spectacular. My husband isn't a salad guy and said the salad was the best he had ever had. The service was top notch and the drinks were on point. Get there early cause it seemed to get busy and fill up quickly. Omg!!! Best espresso martini of my freakin LIFE The girls behind the bar are also slay-mazing and it's so cute in here. It is very dimly lit so you can look like anything and vibe out here. Unfortunately it's not lit well enough to snap cute pics of my drinks to share with yall.. but just TRUST me I love this vibe a lot rn. 10/10. There is also a patio but I didn't venture out to look. Loved this place!! I tried the Good Eye cocktail. Yum :-) the burger was delicious! Love, love, love the fact that its open late night. Tasted the mac and cheese. Going to order that next time!!! What a hidden gem. This place is a little sways from funk zone, but not to far walking distance. They have a array of liquors and not just your typical ones, which tells you you'll a different variety of cocktails, rather than the same tasting ones you try at other places. They make their ingredients fresh the day of. I even saw them trying their own lemons! The people were super friendly. I will be going back when I visit again. read more

We are from out of town and I was searching for a cool spot to visit I came across this place and was really blown away at how fun of an experience it was it's small inside so definitely get there close to opening we found a seat in the back our server was fun he was outgoing maybe his name was Austin we enjoyed him and found him funny we got the smash burger and the buffalo chicken appetizer and both were so good smash burger 10/10 Iv had a handful all around traveling and this was by far the best one I have ever had the drinks looked amazing and while people watching everyone seemed pleased we don't drink but Austin offered us a mocktail and it was so good lavender something anyway we will definitely be back the ambience was also a 10/10 and the music was really good it got a little more fun as we were leaving the crowed was a little younger so I think they change the music accordingly which makes sense read more

Stopped in here for a late evening bite and drink. It was a super chill and quiet place at the time. The bartender was awesome and mixed us up some of their signature cocktails which were fantastic. Oh and they greet you with a free drink sample too!! We were blown away by how good the hamburger was, totally wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Some places try to make bougie burgers and it just doesn't work but this was a simple but elevated burger and it was good. read more

Hands down the best drink and ambience you will find in Santa Barbara outside of the beachfront. Their light bites are not only creative but have enough complex flavor and fresh Ingredients to make you want to plan a night out around their menu. Don't be fooled by it's rough street exterior. Maybe instead of acting like everyone should automatically know every bar's rules, a little basic communication would help. Overall: cheap-looking, weirdly childish atmosphere, ridiculous 2000s music, and an unnecessarily rude door experience. If you're looking for a very young, chaotic club with questionable music and a door staff member ready to confiscate your cocktail like it's evidence at a crime scene, have fun. For everyone else: save your money and go somewhere better.

It looked like a cool vibe from the outside, but the whole experience left me super disappointed. When I walked in, the place was empty--just the owner and two staff. No greeting, no welcome, just awkward silence while the owner stayed on the phone trying to fix what sounded like a billing issue. The staff didn't speak much English (which is fine), but there was no real effort to help or explain anything either. Eventually, I got a hookah and a beer--$48.50 for one hookah and one beer. Yeah... nearly $50. No food, no extras. That's wild. Then I was told I had to smoke outside on the back patio, which turned out to be a tiny little corner--maybe 6 by 10 feet--with uncomfortable chairs and a random wood bench. It took 15 minutes to even get the hookah (remember, no one else was there), and when it arrived, it was totally burnt. Overpacked, harsh hits, and I ended up having to scrape it and fix it myself just to get it to smoke right. Wanna know the kicker? You only get three coals. That's it. No refills unless you pay for more. No one checked on us for almost an hour, and when I finally asked for more coals, they said (in broken English and mostly Spanish) that that's all you get unless you pay extra. I've smoked hookah all over the place--three coals is nothing, especially when you're charging $35+. No one came around, no vibe, no music, no nothing. Just me, my burnt hookah, and a beer that wasn't even cold. I really tried to find something redeeming about this place, but nothing hit. The service wasn't there, the product wasn't good, and it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by being there. Bottom line: for $50, you can do way better just about anywhere else--or even at home. Hope they turn it around, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it.

Toro/seared salmon belly sushi - melt in your mouth, salmon wasn't fishy, can't complain! Crouching tiger roll - it was delicious and honestly loved how perfectly equal the pieces were.. I hate the "butts" but there were not butts! Crazy! Loved it but there was a slight need for lemon or something to cut the heaviness but other that very good Ribeye - delicious! Perfect amount to share between my bf and I, was a little more medium rare than medium but it was good for us to take home and cook a lil more! Overall amazing experience, great staff and delicious food!

The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. Passionfruit forward, it's silky, sweet yet very well balanced. One of the more unique and tasty cocktails I've had ever and honestly I'm not sure how I could come back and get anything else. 10/10 Cocktail and menu. Super impressed. Kudos to Mark who was working the bar. Such a lovely spirit and kind person. He really is passionate about his menu and the drinks he's curated. Loved talking to him as we got to know a lot more about Pearl social and how some of their drinks were concerted. Really appreciated his time and expertise. For some reason, this is considered the top cocktail bar in downtown Santa Barbara, however, we…read morefound the experience underwhelming and the service remarkably slow and unenthusiastic. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.
