I love Rodney's and have been going there for many years. Having said that the whole bar area/ food section area and bathroom that I was in,smells like very strong urine and I think I know the reason why. They're using a dirty bucket and mop to clean their floors. It all needs to be bleached and cleaned with a fresh bucket,mop and scented bleach. Long Horn in Greensburg has the same problem and has for years. I like both places and I hope they fix it. read more

Food was good as was service but one person in our party who is 90 years old ordered a Reuben and didn't tell us until after that it was terrible and had no sauerkraut on it! We definitely would've sent it back had we known. The Italian food and pork chops were good but how do you not know how to make a Reuben? Arby's makes a Reuben! His fries were also hard and he ate very few. I did notice they looked very overcooked. I had fettuccine de Marie I think it's called. Several of my relatives are regulars here and kept telling me to check it out. So I did. I went with my family on our way to Overly's. Even with the strong recommendations, I was concerned right away due to the size of the menu. It was very large, and almost without exception, when restaurants have very large menus the food tends to be average. It is simply impossible to do everything at the highest level. Maybe Rodney's would be the exception? The meal started strong with a good tossed salad and warm bread. We got fried provolone as an appetizer, which was also tasty. For the main course, we got 3 meals for the 4 of us. I got the honor of eating everyone's leftovers, which I did not mind because 1) there were plenty of them and 2) I got to try everything. My daughter ordered the coconut shrimp. About what you would expect. My wife got the lasagna. It was a huge piece, but the flavor was just so so. My daughter tried some as well and she described it as "spongy". This description made no sense to me until I tried it. She was right, the ricotta cheese had a soft, spongy texture. Maybe the problem was that there was very little of any other cheese. A nice dose of mozzarella or provolone would have greatly improved the dish. As it was, it was just so so. Finally, we also got the banana peppers over angel hair. It was good, but nothing stood out. In fact, that is the perfect way to describe the entire evening. I'm afraid the large menu got the best of them after all. On a positive note, the serving sizes were large and the meal was a good value. read more

I went out to dinner at Rodney's with my mom after asking for some local suggestions about places to eat. We had heard of Rodney's for years but somehow never ended up eating here until now. We arrived at Rodney's on a Tuesday and were told we would have a 45 minute wait. The dining room and bar areas were pretty full for a Tuesday night. The wait time for a table was only about fifteen minutes. After we were seated, our service was great for as crowded as things were. Our food was awesome too, including the Rodney rolls, side salad, and entrees. I got the fettuccine du-Marie, and my mom got the lobster tails. The portions here are huge, and we ended up taking leftovers home. The fact that this place was so crowded on Tuesday night speaks volumes about its great food and service, especially since it is not located on a main road. We had lunch here on a Friday and sat at the bar. They had their holiday cocktail menu and we tried a few different drinks. The chocolate covered raspberry martini was so good! Started with the banana pepper crunch roll and oh my! It was so good. We both got the steak salad and the steak was cooked to perfection. Only complaint was the plate could have been bigger or the salad could've been in a bowl, it was just a little difficult to toss dressing and not make a mess. The service was decent. There were some regulars at the bar that seemed to get more attention and we had to wait a bit to order a second round of drinks. We started w the stuffed banana peppers n then our party had the pecan chicken salad, coconut shrimp(very large) n the lasagna. Our only complaint was the service wasn't great. We had a reservation n we waited although there were plenty of empty tables, we were seated without menus n had to flag down a person after about 10 minutes to get some. Went to Rodney's last week with my son for lunch. They were very busy as usual. When we placed our order we felt. Dry rushed because the waitress was busy. I ordered the Salmon. When it came out the Salmon was overcooked and rubbery. There was maybe about a 3oz portion. The server was again running around so I didn't complain, and just ate it. I used to love going to Rodney's for lunch and dinner. Lately not so good. I think I will just bid farewell to Rodney's and just go elsewhere from now on read more

I really enjoy going here as I can usually order something different every time and know it's going to be good. The last visit had a group of 12 of us and our waitress took the time to make sure things were ok for my wife's gluten sensitivity. The food came out hot and delicious! Birthday dinner for my 24 yr old daughter. I usually only go here once per year because there are so many better choices in the area. The atmosphere is more like a big dining room. I ordered the scallops over a bed of zucchini noodles because it seemed like a healthy option. See photo - meal arrived with burnt rubber scallops over mashed potatoes with a side of veggies. What a disappointment! I tried a scallop and it tasted like shoe leather! I have never seen scallops served with mashed potatoes. Rice is the most common starch with seafood entrees. Rodney's hosted my bridal shower in March 2017 and I visit here regularly for family brunches. I have to admit that the pecan encrusted chicken is the only entree I've ordered for lunches because it's consistently so delicious! My family also orders different pasta dishes, all of which look delicious and filling! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The event room is spacious and perfect for hosting showers or parties. The decor is well done and slightly more upscale than a casual lunch location. The lunch and dinner menu offers similar choices which makes it convenient for those not wanting a huge dinner and are leaning towards a burger or a sandwich. They prepare the standard dishes. Soup, salads, appetizers, hoagies, pizza (including a pierogie pizza made with mashed potatoes)stromboli's, pasta,seafood, steak, veal and chicken dishes. The dining area is very spacious and comfortable. They have plenty of rooms that offer private dining for larger crowds. I know people LOVE this place but every time I've been it's just eh. I hadn't been in a few years but we recently had a family dinner and everyone's food was average at best. My aunt and uncle got pork chops that were basically jerky. My husband said he burger was good. My pasta had no flavor at all. My parents said their pizza was soggy but the flavor was ok and my dads side salad sat on a table next to us for about 15 minutes until my cousin just handed it to him. Should call this place deaths waiting room based on the clientele. Drab grey dingy all come to kind when describing the decor. And any menu that tries to hit every single known genre in the food world you know will miss on most. Arguably one of the worst chicken parm's I've ever had (#1 was also in Pittsburg ) with just ice breaded and way too thick chicken, not enough mozzarella and nearly not enough sauce although that might be a blessing in disguise because the sauce is more reminiscent of pizza sauce than marinara.
