This restaurant has the most unprofessional staff. Our waitress seemed to be running a race. Didn't have time for us. We had to ask for silverware. Every individual addressed my husband and me as "YOU GUYS"! We are in our late sixties and mid seventies. Extremely inappropriate. If you correct them, they come back with "YOU GUYS" numerous times. My family and I just had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Which is unusual because we usually have great service there. The problem today centered around the very rude and unfriendly manager, Duane. There were six of us and after we ordered, we noticed a group that came in after us, get their meal before we did. We brought this to the attention of Duane and he probably began to argue with us. I was amazed that any employee, especially the manager, would choose to argue with us rather than promptly attempt to make the matter correct. This is not the first time we have had an unpleasant experience with Duane. He should probably be in the back room or the kitchen and not interacting with your customers. read more

Let's just say they know us here and that is a very good thing! We love going here for brunch and happy hour. During brunch there is a list of entrees to chose from (for(for just under $12) and you get unlimited champagne and when I say unlimited I mean unlimited! We have to turn our glasses upside down or they will keep filling them up! The portions are huge and the food is delicious. The mariachi band is very entertaining and always makes us laugh. The manager is very visible and interacts with the customers, which we appreciate. He isn't about seating patrons or refilling our champagne glasses :) For happy hour they have great deals on food items and drinks. The chimichangitas are my favs and their hot salsa is bomb! Had a great Sunday breakfast with some friends who were here for a wedding. We came over for the $12.99 brunch that included champagne and got surprised with a fun mariachi band. I'll make this review short and simple..... One word: Tamales. They are simply ah-mazing. It's spicy. Meet is cooked just right. Sauce is tasty. Love it--as if I couldn't love tamales any more! Free chips come with mild and spicy salsa. Who does that?! That's right, Rodrigo's does. Service is great. Restaurant is very cute. We came to Rodrigo's for my son's birthday party and the staff was fantastic !!! I wish I had their names but they waited on us (60+) great no one went without anything.. they came out and sang happy birthday brought our food out plus tortilla chips every time we ate and ate and ate them up lol .. Rodrigo's is right down the street from my house and I was excited to visit them again when they had a sweet Deal Palooza deal recently. Our server was very friendly, and constantly came by to make sure we were okay. Chips and salsa are always a great start.... salsa is in a pretty small cup, but good enough while you wait. I ordered 3 tacos (chicken, carne asada, carnitas)... and while the tortillas were a bit oily-like, the meat had some good flavor. Once you have the legit tortillas in Mexico, you'll never go back! And beans and rice where okay, but nothing special. If you're a local senior (55+), they have a sign outside for lunch specials around $5. Also, I think they might have 10% off of if you're a Smart Card member. I'll probably come back around football season to try out their bar area... hopefully they'll have happy hour deals! read more

Best food ever! Have been going here since the 80's (different location obviously) but the food is still the same. Great chips and salsa. So good my two year old use to drink it with a straw! Doesn't matter the location Norwalk, Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, Corona, Riverside or Temecula been to them all, the food is always great! Had family visiting (that left CA two years ago) and he said his mouth was watering just from the mention for their name. Probably my least favorite place for Taco Tuesday. The carne asada reminded me of microwaved ground beef (texture and taste). The tortillas were not very fresh. The portion size was not very consistent between my friends and my own plate. The only reason I walked away with a good taste in my mouth was because the margarita was pretty good. I have not been there for a regular dinner so I may give it another try. Stick to Guadalajara's off jeferson street. read more

I really like the authentic taste of the food. The spices and aroma when you walk in just makes your mouth water. I have been here many times and will continue to return. I went in to get a beer today (Thursday) at around 4:00. Only two other people in the whole place, at the bar. It was dead. I ordered an IPA beer. Appreciated the chips and nachos, but the tab was $8.30 for the beer - at what is usually happy hour at most places. I can get the same beer at other places in town for $5.00 at happy hour. Came here for happy hour on a Tuesday. Their $2 mini tacos were okay, nothing spectacular. Had their $4 watermelon margarita in the rocks which was good. My friends and I sat in the outside patio which was still enclosed from the pouring rain that night. The heaters gave it a more cozy feel which made us more relaxed and enjoy our time there. This review is only for the bar area. We came here to watch a game on tv - and we had to ask if they could turn on the volume. The best thing here was the margarita. I ordered "The Golpe of Mexico" a 64 or 32 oz margarita. wow. That was an interesting day. needless to say we stayed at a friends house in Murrietta. Thank goodness for friends. We eat here regularly, but in the recent past we have found their ultimate fajitas (shrimp, steak and chicken) to be very disappointing in the quality of the dish. The shrimp has been over cooked, small in size and they've not been able to serve the steak cooked as requested. The staff is always great in trying to make things right but we have decided to give up on ordering this item. We have enjoyed other selections and will continue to order those. DO NOT RECOMMEND. When we first walked in we were told there were no booths (at 5 pm). There was another girl who said there were but they all seemed confused so we opted to sit in the booth. She handed us two menus and we found a table in the bar area to sit. We were asked for our drink order promptly but that's where the service ended. We were served stale chips and chunky weird Pace salsa which ... ok. I can look past that. Then we watched at least 8 employees walk past us a few times never asking for our food order. We waited about 10 minutes before we gave up. I didn't want to just leave since I ordered a soda so I went to the front to say we were leaving but I had ordered a soda. I guess my soda wasn't in the system yet so she started to ring me up for a soda ($3.25). For a soda I didn't even drink. Luckily she realized how ridiculous that was and I talked to the manager who did offer to have a server actually take our order but we declined. He stated an employee came in late but that doesn't account for the other several workers that were seen walking around like they had nothing to do. All we saw were drinks being served but no food. It was really strange. I recommend they invest in some new customer service training if they care enough. read more

When the employee not on break, yes on the clock is sitting down socializing with friends and you are waiting for service what justifies a good tip. I remember a time when Rodrigos was on it and actually ensured customer service was a priority. Really sucks for those employees who are actually working and putting in work for their tips. Been here a few times......maybe 5 in the last two years. How I became a "Duchess" here while checking in this last time is beyond me. Here's the scoop..... Servers are great. Never had a bad one, or been ignored, etc.. Karaoke nights are often and EXTREMELY loud. But, they are entertaining for sure. Shrimp Tacos are my Fave thing here and I order them everytime it seems. They are moist, shrimp are plentiful, beans and rice are always hot, and leftovers warm up beautifully! S.O. likes the Chimichongitas off the Appetizer section (it's a lot of food!) Pics attached! Great atmosphere! Highly recommended. Room for improvement? Yep......They should offer a lunch menu (lighter fare) . And turn down the Karaoke machine a bit......hard to hear conversation across a table at the far side of the restaurant! read more

Had an awful experience last night. Looking for a Mexican Restaurant that offered Taco Tuesday. Two of my friends called in the late afternoon, early evening to see what they were offering. They were both told Taco Tuesday's offer is 10 tacos for $30. My friend arrived was seated, ordered a margarita. When my other friend and I arrived we were told by our server Taco Tuesday specials are for takeout only. We asked to speak with the Manager. The Manager Dwayne, came to our table. He was by no means friendly. We explained the missed communication with their staff and asked if he would honor the special for us to enjoy dining in. He let us know they ended that during the Covid mandate and they do not honor that special for inside dining. He then spoke to us in a very demeaning, condescending tone and told us he would only allow that tonight but never again. We calmly let him know we'd be taking our business elsewhere. Upon leaving my friend paid for her margarita at the front register. We tried to explain to the 2 very young hostesses that they need to verbally convey to patrons on the phone that it's takeout only. They both literally turned their backs to us. We will NEVER dine there and will let others know. The restaurant at 6:30 pm, was near empty and there was awful a fowl odor in the dining area. Some servers and hostess were very obviously texting to each other and I don't mind fun in the work place, but it was uncomfortable to the point it seemed like they were making fun of guest.
