Recommend making a reservation even on a weeknight. I thought the service was fast and the food was good! My favorite dishes were the mozzarella sticks and the pizza. Good spot when you're in West Village!

Tasty spot for pizza and and/or drinks located in the heart of the West Village. It does get crowded, particularly on weekends, so making a reservation in advance is the way to go. Both the Burrata pizza, with creamy cheese and fresh tomatoes, as well as the Soppressata pizza, with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, are great items to order. Though the ambiance inside is also nice, I prefer their outdoor seating for a lively feel.

Came for happy hour, there was a line and we were sat and seen quickly. Perfect for what it is!!! Lil pizza and Aperol spritz, super cheap. Lovely spring break day I enjoyed my visit

I came here for dinner with some friends and we did family style. We got Margherita Pizza, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, Riviera Salad, Skillet Garlic Knots and Brussel Sprouts. Our favorites were definitely the pizza and garlic knots. The garlic knots were so ridiculously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - some of the best I've ever had. Everything else was good too, but the only item that I would say was pretty mid was the pasta. Interior was cute and service was good!

The salad here was amazing -- I can't remember what it was called but it was the one with yoghurt dressing. We ordered the burrata pizza and I don't think it was actually burrata. I think it was cottage cheese, so that docks some points off. I don't think it's fair to market something as a better product than it actually is, so that was disappointing. Really like the ambiance of the place though -- great for a casual spot in the WV.

Great spot for happy hour. $5 cocktails and $10 pizza! It's usually very crowded during happy hour, so be prepared to wait. I love the interior, it's elegant yet cozy. The staff are also very friendly.

My friend and I wanted to get dinner in the West Village tonight (Saturday) but didn't have a reservation anywhere. This is something I'll never do again... but in any case we ended up here because they happened to have two seats available at the bar. Those two seats were crammed into a space big enough for one. We asked to move over to two more available stools because they sat me at a stool all the way at the end of the bar with disinfectant wipes and glassware in front of me instead of a place setting. Additionally the whole restaurant was stiflingly hot, so much so that we had sweat dripping down our faces. There was no airflow, and they only turned on the AC as we were leaving. We both got spritzes, aperol and hugo. They were refreshing in such a hot environment, but really watered down with ice, very weak, and practically half full. (The photo I'm attaching was taken after I had ONE sip!!) So I'm kind of annoyed to have paid $16 for a small cup of glorified fruit juice. Then for dinner my friend ordered the rigatoni a la vodka, which was quite tasty with a bit of a spicy kick. I got the cacio e pepe personal pizza, which was basically a white pizza with pepper and a delicious chewy crust. However it was very greasy, and I only ate 4 of 6 slices before I started to feel really queasy. Granted we did come on a really busy Saturday night in spring when weather (and air conditioning) can be unpredictable, but given today's experience I don't think I'll be back.

Went to Roeys for a weekend brunch. We had a reservation and the place was decently full. We ordered the woodfire eggs and Dutch boy pancake. Both of these came in piping hot cast irons, there's no sleeve or anything on these pans and it burned my hand. Their cappuccino was not good either, would not recommend ordering that. The pancake and eggs were both really solid brunch options, I would definitely order again. Overall, I had a nice time. The eggs were a good breakfast option. But, service was slow and there are some areas for improvement here.

Love love love this cute spot for happy hour. If you happen to be in West Village looking Carrie Bradshaw's apartment, Rory's is only about a 7 min walk. We stopped by on a Monday without a reservation and were able to get seated right away, although they did let us know that they'd need the table back in an hour. The happy hour menu is pretty small so you can def scarf down a pizza and a few rosemary spritz's in a short amount of time. Although there was a packed house, service was quick and efficient. Our pizza came out in under 15 minutes and was only $10. There's only 2 cocktails for the happy hour price of $5 and only 1 (rosemary spritz) is alcoholic. Well worth the visit, even though we were practically elbow distance from our neighboring tables.

Roey's, part of the same family as Rosemary's, has a real neighborhood vibe. We didn't grab any food, but we sat outside during the day and had a few drinks. It's exactly what you want for a laid-back afternoon of sipping cocktails and people-watching.

The happy hour here is just unmatched! It's probably my favorite happy hour in the city. The pizza is a very decent size for the price and you just can't beat a $5 spritz! You have to have a reservation here for the happy hour, which ends at 6, because it is well known how great of a deal it is. It's also just a cute restaurant with great indoor and outdoor ambiance. Truly a gem of the city!

Came to Roey's with a group of former coworkers to catch up. Even though I didn't love my last job, I mf loved the people there. It's important to keep up with people from your past, not only because they are good people, but you never know where they will be in 5-10 years. Unless absolutely necessary, you should never burn a bridge. Just my 2 cents tho. The group of 6 of us came into Roey's and were seated at the big table in the middle. I got a glass of Montepulciano, which I recently learned how to pronounce with a slight Italian accent. I really just order it because I feel beast pronouncing it. We ended up ordering garlic knots, brussel sprouts, and 4 pizzas. You could see them making the pizzas right there in front of you with the open kitchen and a woodfire oven in the back. Few things get me going like a woodfire pizza oven. We got the following pizzas: Margherita, Il Macellaio (pep & sausage), Soppressata (Italian salami & fennel honey), and the Mushroom & Spinach Pizza. The top performer was easily that Soppressata. The italian salami, calabrian chili, and fennel honey worked well together like the 2004 Detroit Pistons. The lowlight was the Mushroom & Spinach pizza, as I really don't like mushrooms or spinach which I chalked up to a personal preference. But, it was the only pizza that didn't get completely finished, which is how you know it was middy-wap. The pizzas, other than the Margherita, were all above $20 a piece and weren't the biggest pizzas ever. I easily could have demolished one myself. Probably 2. All in all, a great place for a group dinner but idk if I'll make it back. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

If you've been to Rosemary's you'll love this little quint spot. Great service, delicious food and great drinks (compliments of Nico and Rona the bartenders I met). They also have one for the best happy hours in the neighborhood. You can't go wrong with a good glass of wine and a good time. Check it out.

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Make reservations for peak dining times in the evenings and on weekends. Many people walked in without reservations and were seated right away on Saturday evenings. Highly recommend trying their original cocktails ($18). We tried the flower child and the harvest moon. Both were tasty. I would get harvest moon again and again. Perfect balance of Tart, sweet refreshing and strong. Menu items change seasonally so it's delightful to try something new every time you visit. $21 potato croquettes were highly disappointing. Everyone recommended them highly, but I could not understand why. For such price, three tiny balls of fried potato should've been mind blowing, but they were underwhelming and forgettable at best. Skip. $24 giant ricotta stuffed raviolo was delightful. Such soothing comfort food. If I could eat just this, I would be happy. $26 fresh crudo was refreshing and light. Wish the portion was a bit bigger, especially the sides. $38 duck confit was highly advertised, however, it was underwhelming and the least stand out dish. It was solid, but nothing that I would order again or recommend. The duck was on the dry side. Definitely not enough sauce. The cabbage and the cabbage salad were good. Crispy and refreshing. The duck was not the star of this dish. $13 chocolate mousse with strawberry coulis was surprisingly delightful. So light and balanced. Not sweet, but just right to finish a meal. I could eat this dessert every day after every single meal. So simple, yet it hit the spot. Service is very fast and efficient. One of our readers was superb and provided stellar recommendations. Another waiter (young and inexperienced) was very shy and his energy felt very stifling.
