Came in for a early happy hour/dinner with a friend. We opted to sit at the bar instead of the table and actually it was perfect because the bar staff was great with recommendations for drinks and food. The place itself has a great vibe very cool and sheik with a disco ball rotating in the center of the room haha, we loved it. For drinks we went with wine and rose , and had the Crispy Artichokes with lemon aioli which was delicious . For dinner we went with the Steak Tagliata with arugula, cherry tomatoes, & parmesan which the steak was perfectly prepared. Also went with the Rigatoni di Nash with sausage, peas, vodka sauce, omg so good. Literally in my top 5 for pasta dishes the sauce is insanely good. Compliments to the chef! Wow ! what an amazing spot! We stopped by to say hello to a friend celebrating a birthday, but after seeing a few dishes come out, we immediately knew we had to stay and eat. Even later into the evening, the place was absolutely buzzing! Raphael took great care of us and was able to seat us outside, which we really appreciated since our 9-year-old son is sensitive to loud music. Our server, Carter, was great! attentive, efficient, and on top of everything from start to finish. Waters and appetizers came out right away, and our entrees arrived perfectly timed just as we were finishing the apps. The entire experience felt seamless. But the real star here is the food. Easily one of my top 5 meals in NYC. The plates may lean a little smaller, but the richness, flavor, and quality speak volumes. We learned they've only been open a little over a year, and trust me, this place does not disappoint. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, go earlier in the evening. But if you want a lively dinner spot that turns up the energy as the night goes on, this is absolutely the place to be. Such a great dinner experience. I had a really disappointing experience with the host, Rafa. From the moment we arrived, he was unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. He seemed unwilling to seat us and even suggested we go somewhere else, despite there being availability. After speaking with a manager, we were eventually seated but unfortunately right next to the host stand. Rafa continued to make us feel uncomfortable, whispering comments that we should leave even after we were seated, which was honestly shocking and unprofessional. What stood out most is that this didn't feel like an isolated incident you could tell from his behavior toward others that this is a pattern, and I've since seen similar complaints online. A host sets the tone for the entire dining experience, and this completely overshadowed everything else. I hope management addresses this, because it reflects poorly on the restaurant as a whole. read more

A friend made a last minute, large table reservation at Bar Bianchi for their birthday. For large parties like ours, they do offer a 4-course family style menu. I will say it started very strong and kind of tapered as it went by. The gigante & fava beans were an unexpected standout - imagine Caesar salad, but beans! Really enjoyed that and will be replicating at home. Vodka sauce pasta was very underwhelming. We did also get the cacio e pepe, which was my first time having it outside of the trader joes pre-made sauce, and I was extremely indifferent to it at first, but something about it intrigued me with each bite I had. I am still on the fence, but I am a lot more eager to keep trying the dish at restaurants. The next course was probably the least impressive; branzino, steak and potatoes. Maybe we were too full and a little too tipsy at that point - but nothing really wowed anyone. Lastly, we were given tiramisu and chocolate mousse for dessert. Their mousse is served like ice cream and so the first bite is jarring if you didn't know what you were going in for. But I personally found it delicious. The staff were a hoot and super attentive.   I think if you figure out which dishes are good and stick to those, this place is generally very good. It's nice but not too nice. Service is amazing, drinks are good and ambiance is great. Might be back for a happy hour soon. read more

Bar Bianchi is a very cute Italian/euro-inspired bar in LES! I came here for a drink with my friends at around 4pm and it was pretty easy to get seated! We also got the grande aperol spritz and they were so delicious! Just be mindful that this place is a bit pricey ($20 per grande spritz), but it was enjoyable and it's for the ~vibes~. We only came here for drinks, so I cannot speak to their food, but their appetizers were good! We were given a complimentary plate of olives and potato chips, which were yummy and offsets the sweetness of our drinks. We also ordered the anchovies and an order of bread, which were good! Some people at my table found the drinks to be a little weak, which is disappointing for the price/size. I believe another review also pointed out how much ice they put, so it counters the amount of drink you get. I personally found the drinks to be find, but it's subjective. Such a cute spot-- think outdoor, summer, spritz galore! This comes from the same owners as Le Dive/The Nines. It's a very Italian/Euro summer bar that serves fun alcohlic cocktails and light bites. I came and tried their Giuseppe Spritz and some of my friend's Aperol Spritz (us along with 90% of the restaurant). - Giuseppe Spritz (6/10): this is Bar Bianchi's version of a Hugo Spritz! I'd recommend getting the Grande size (only $3 more and so much more volume haha) I thought this wasn't bad but could've used more elderflower flavor. I would say that I enjoyed this but did feel like the drink was 80% ice... I will say one thing I loved was the complimentary olives and chips served with our drinks... made for some delicious salty bites! read more

At the 30-minute mark, we politely checked in--only to be told, with an alarming lack of concern, that the wait was actually three hours. No apology. No explanation. Just a smirk and a shrug. It felt less like a mistake and more like a message: you're not who we want here. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was met with a level of condescension I haven't encountered in years. He was unhelpful, dismissive, and frankly, rude. (And while I hate to get personal--his breath could've cleared the room faster than any fire alarm.) And here's the part that truly left a mark: I'm a 61-year-old native New Yorker enjoying a night out with my 25-year-old daughter. We are both seasoned, city-savvy, and well-versed in dining in this town. We weren't confused, demanding, or entitled--we were simply asking for clarity. The way I was looked at, dismissed, and outright disrespected made one thing painfully clear: if you're not in their 20-to-30-something demo, you're invisible. The ageism was unmistakable--and inexcusable. Bar Bianchi is all style, no soul. It mistakes exclusivity for excellence and arrogance for ambiance. The novelty may draw crowds for now, but trust me--this place is a flash in the pan. Give it six months, a year at best, and New York will move on--as it always does--leaving behind another overpriced, overhyped, underwhelming blip. If you're looking for genuine hospitality, skip Bar Bianchi. There's nothing chic about being treated like you don't belong. Went with a group of 10 people on a Friday night and what can I say, this place stinks. Bar Bianchi basically profiles every customer at the door, every time, even when it is half empty. This is to see if you "fit the bill." The precious bartenders are snippy and slow. They also insisted our group was underage, carded us 3 times, and made everyone stand out front for 30 minutes. Did I mentioned it was also half empty? Don't have anything to say about the food cause I won't ever be going back. My roommates and I who have lived in the area were SO excited to come here and planned our week around it. We put our name in at 6:30. Told it'd be a 2-hour wait, which was fine. We planned for that. Showed up at 8:30, ordered drinks by 8:45. But by 10pm? Still no one had taken our dinner order, while every other table around us was being served. We flagged someone down and finally placed our order. My roommates' and my food came out, except one of their dishes was completely missing, and the food we did get was freezing cold. We sent it back. It took 45 more minutes for it all to come out again, this time with the missing dish. At that point, we said something (nicely) about how long everything had taken, the cold food, the re-wait. The waiter basically said "okay" and took accountability in the most rude way, offered to just take the food away, as if we were the issue. All attitude, no accountability. The only redeeming moment was Craig, genuinely sweet and tried to turn the night around. Another waitress brought us specialty drinks to make up for it, which we appreciated, but the staff was already giving us looks like we were the problem. We live in the area, and this was supposed to be our fun "last hurrah" dinner. With all the TikTok hype, we were so let down. Would not recommend. Walked in here on a Saturday about 6:00 pm in early summer. Walked in with my wife. We have both lived in the East Village for several years and thought we'd support the new local restaurant with an Italian sounding name. Asked the host if they had a table for two. He rudely said, 'I don't have a table until 10 pm' in a sort of douchey-sorry-buddy-can't-help-you-sort-of-way. Really smarmy and unhelpful. Nothing like you're welcome to sit at the bar if you'd like. Beginning to think this guy didn't like that I was over the age of 35 and actually didn't want me and my wife patronizing his place. In any event, I was thirsty and so, as I strode past him to the bar, asked, "Can we grab a drink at the bar?" Didn't wait for his answer which was something like, "You can sit at the bar all you like....". As we approached the bar, two people were just leaving, so we thought we scored by snagging some seats. There were 4 bartenders behind the bar, all looking like they went to the 2-for-1 at the tattoo parlor together the week before. Literally, they didn't even address that we sat down for about 7 minutes. We are sitting 3 feet from these people. Bought 2 Aperol Spritz's that sucked, more like Aperol with Club soda for $20 apiece. Had to ask the bartender to add some Prosecco to make the drink an actual Aperol Spritz. They did, begrungingly. Hard to make new friends when the establishment doesn't want your kind there. White, successful and over the age 0f 35.They should hang a sign, 'We only want young people here'. I am from Europe but have lived in New York since 1997. This place is all I hate about NYC when they look attractive like a French or Italian brasserie, except it's not! It's not a place you can sit freely for coffee or a lemonade. It's a selective place that primarily serves cocktails and tells you you can't stay outside at a table for more than a certain amount of time. It's an alcohol place without "la joie de vivre" like you would in a similar-looking place in Italy. To me, it is deceiving and snobbish. It serves nothing popular and approachable. It's like if you are in Disneyland and there is a fake Italian brasserie that serves nothing but pretense. Why would they pretend to be a brasserie if they are just a "get drunk expensively bar? I am a neighbor, but I was received like an unwanted person, and it made me leave because I didn't feel like I could enjoy a coffee or a lemonade in the sunlight to read or to enjoy "fai niente," doing nothing. read more

Was super excited to try this new spot as the vibes inside are fabulous. That's pretty much where the good stuff ends. The service is extremely poor we waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks and anything post that it was impossible to flag a waiter down. The margarita I got was clearly just mixed with sour mix rather than actually using lime. For the amount paid that's pretty disappointing. The biggest disappointment however was the food. Took ages to come out and the pasta had eight pieces of tortellini on it. Eight! For $23 we couldn't believe it. Ended up going to bar revival down the street for a decent serving of pasta since we were starving after. read more
