Edit edit: this third time I took my car in they gave me my car back saying the steering wheel is working as intended even though when I took it in the 2nd time I asked a dude in the service line if this was the case. I told the dude if this is just how the wheel is I don't want to continue to wait in this line/reschedule. The dude said "yeah I see what you mean it is kind of hard to turn, let's see if the mechanic can recalibrate it." Which is why I scheduled a 3rd appointment and went through all the struggle I listed above. So while I'm glad there's no issues with the steering wheel I'm annoyed that I was told that there was. I got a voicemail from Jeremy L and tried to call him back multiple times to address the voicemail he left me about my steering wheel not having issues, but he never got back to me. Every time these people say they'll transfer you they're just sending you to voicemails that never get a response. My favorite person here is Katelyn. She has been helpful every time I call. Avoid Garrett Bremmer at all cost if you want a reliable saleperson. I've been waiting 5 days for a simple call or a text back regarding my 2nd key set and I've yet to be acknowledged. I've spoken to multiple staff members and a sales manager (Michael I believe) and they all said he would call me regarding the issue back but he's still been radio silent. Also upon researching what I can do to get my car keys I discovered the finance staff pulled off a move called "tied-selling." Initially I was approved for financing of 7.13% which Jordan told me was the best deal he could get for me. Once I got to the final steps of the contract they tried to up-sell me on their warranties which I refused. The finance rep said there was still a better interest rate "pending" and he would work on getting it for me but only if I bought the $1500 warranty. Suddenly It magically got approved I got a better rate and he got his extended warranty sale. This is highly unethical and a terrible sales tactic. TLDR: Car salesman doesn't care about you once you sign the contract and the finance department isn't looking out for your best interest. read more

Run, don't walk away from this dealership. If you need maintenance or a recall workup for your new car don't expect it back for 1-2 weeks. We made appointments for our new car purchased last october for the recalls, updates and scheduled maintenance and I am not sure why they even take appointments. The letters in the mail say that the recall should only take them an hour to check, but they can't get the work done in less than one or two weeks. I will leave you without a car for that long. Why do they take appointments if they cant get the work done that day or the next. Terrible service, terrible dealership, terrible experience here. read more

This is how we found our way to ROGER BEASLEY MAZDA/ AUSTIN. Our recent college graduate son was eager to purchase his first car by himself so he did all the research and began the hunt. Our first stop was Vanguard Volkswagon due to the Ad they posted on the internet that stated the MSRP for a base model Jetta and the new college grad discount among other discounts. The advertised price online was a car our son could afford. When we got to negotiations, they did the "old bait and switch" and said the Ad was wrong, the price in the Ad was incorrect. They outright lied and wouldn't honor their own online ad. VANGUARD VOLKSWAGON/AUSTIN made the first "real" car buying experience awful for our recent college grad. It taught him a valuable lesson about what can happen at shady dealerships. We left and headed one block down to ROGER BEASLEY MAZDA/AUSTIN. When we entered, we were greeted by Mr. Nawaar Akin, an exceptional young salesman. He listened to our son's needs in order to purchase a vehicle within his budget. Nawaar showed us a vehicle and our son went for a test drive. Afterwards, he was sold on the Mazda CX30 and the negotiations began. The price for this car that was advertised was IN FACT the ACTUAL PRICE! The manager came over with the final purchase quote, and our son mentioned this was his first time to ever buy a car and the manager said let me see what I can do about a first time buyer purchase. He came back with a second quote and it was exactly were our son needed it to be to complete the purchase. Each step in the buying process was explained and options were presented to make it work for his budget. This first time big purchase was such a pleasant and educational experience for him. I took my car in for scheduled maintenance and an oil change, then noticed oil leakage after letting it sit over the weekend. I had it towed back to Beasley last night and called first thing this morning to tell them that something had obviously gone awry with the oil change. Lucie took my call and was immediately responsive. She did the first thing every customer service person should do for a customer who has a problem: she said, "I am so sorry!" and she said it like she meant it. She said she'd get right on it and call me with updates--and she did. The problem was a defective oil plug, and a service guy called to explain just what had happened, and that they were fixing it. He assured me that they'd checked it over for any resulting problems, and everything looked good. Three hours after my first call, Lucie herself was here at my house, personally delivering my repaired Mazda, again with apologies for the inconvenience. Gabor was with her, and he even cleaned up the spilled oil in my carport. Mistakes will happen, but the mark of a quality company is how well they respond in fixing any problems. Having bought my Mazda here in 2018 with Garrett and a team of very non-pushy sales people, who were patient with me and my husband as we did our due diligence, we've been back for annual inspections and any little thing that has come up. Their service is absolutely top notch to the point where I actually dont see it as a chore to go in -- waters, snacks, a truly clean and calm environment. My CX 5 recently went in for service, the 3 people I worked with in the service dept were wonderful (can"t remember names). Updates were provided and I received a video explaining what was worked on. A rental car was provided, a CX 50. I fell in love with it and asked about trading in. Charlie Harrell was called to value my trade in and was great! He walked me over to Michael Martinez who I have worked with previously. We talked about the different CX 50 packages and the lease option due to the low miles on my CX 5. I was all in. I referred friends to Charlie and Michael because of the experience. Unfortunately I did not lease or purchase because of the experience with the finance team. A lease payment was sent to me that was insanely high. I applied for a loan to purchase the CX 50 with my credit union, the payments were significantly lower than what was stated to lease. I shared this with the finance team and never received any communication back from them. Bummer. I still love the CX 50 and when ready to purchase with outside financing will go back to Charlie and Michael. read more

Docking a star because we had a rigmarole just so the price could go up $175 just out of the Edmunds "good deal" range into the "fair deal" range, and then the finance office presented us with a final sales price that had a bunch of stuff we had rejected added back in to it, in case we didn't notice. We bought a new Mazda from this dealership in 2022 and the experience was fine. Not great, but not terrible. Basically, it was the typical car buying experience, which took much longer than it should, and involved repetitive conversations about extended warranties and other add-ons. Fast forward a year later and I took our CX-30 in for routine service. My service advisor was Orion and he was very courteous and professional. I was in and out within an hour, which was surprisingly fast compared to other dealerships I've taken our cars to. The bottom line: Beasley's sales process needs some improvement, but their service department operates smoothly and efficiently. And they're lucky to have an employee like Orion. read more

I had a great experience buying my cx-50. James is great, low pressure good knowledge.

A fair deal on the value of the car. You don't learn why it was so fair until after you have it for a few days or weeks. That is when you discover the one (only one) key fob is defective and does not lock the driver door. The CD player does not work. (Always take a CD to try out) The dash lights are too dim to read. Since they have you sign a contract that the car is sold 'as is', even when you bring it back to have the new license plates put on (which they receive 4 to 6 weeks after the sale), and the horn starts sounding in their parking lot, they will lie and blame you for hitting the panic button. (They also lied about fixing a small crack in the windshield but I let it slide because it is small and does not block the driver's view.) Then they want to charge you even just to fix the one defective key fob they gave you. Hard telling what other defects will show up later. The A/C as it slowly leaks? To be fair, they will allow you to buy a 3 year extended warranty that covers SOME things at $100+ a month. read more

I have never found a car dealer better than Roger Beasley Mazda Central. Everything about it has been very supportive in helping me in every aspect. Why is that? First of all, the cars I bought have been just what I wanted: reliable, fun to drive, easy to understand, and one I can afford. The Mazdas I have had were far better for my needs than any other car I've had. When I retired and decided I deserved the best new car for myself, I went straight to the Roger Beasley because I knew the Mazda would be what I wanted. Second, the service is immediate, considerate, always aware of my needs and tell me what they are doing if I bring it in, including a video to show what they are doing. All the representatives treat me in ways that make me feel welcome and knowledge enough to want to understand the work. I would be comfortable asking questions if needed. Third, the people are willing to offer suggestions about other sources if they don't have what I want. I appreciate their understanding of others who might have it. It doesn't happen very often. Fourth, when I have to stay while they check my car, there are several amenabilities like a comfortable waiting lounge with things to drink or snack, although I've never had to wait that long. The person handling my service keeps me regularly in terms of how much time until they will be done. The lounge has all the electronics I might need to do my work or just relax. FInally, I intend to never go to another dealer if I decide to get a new car. The car will be a Mazda 3 at the Roger Beasley Mazda Central, even though it's a long drive to get there from my home. read more

I never expected the best value, you can't at a dealer, but I was so impressed by their professionalism, communication and attention to detail. After diagnosing the issue they emailed me a video showing me the issue and detailing the repair. The also completely went over the car to make sure there were no other issues. I took my CX-3 for a routine 60k maintenance check. I took the shuttle service, which was super quick and communicative. My car was done after 2 hours, which I received a video showing my car and detailing the different aspects that they checked. I was also called and asked if I wanted them to replace my rear windshield wiper which was torn - I declined, but I appreciated so much that they asked and would've done it right then if I confirmed. All in all, very professional, prompt service. I've been at Mazda dealerships in the past which offer a complimentary car wash, but no such offer here. This is the first negative review I have ever left a business in my life, but I wanted to share my experience to hopefully protect other car buyers. Here is the short version: - I purchased a used 2020 Mazda CX-5 in September, 2022 - LENGTH OF WAIT TIME: I had an appointment to pay for the car and sign the paperwork and was told it would only take 30 minutes. My sales agent repeatedly reassured me that I was next in line with finance, but after waiting for 3 hours with an upset and hungry toddler, I checked with the receptionist who informed me that there were still several people in front of me. We were told to come back and wait in line another day. - TIMELINE OF REPAIRS: My car had some damage before I purchased it, but I was guaranteed it would all be fixed within 2 days. After a week, I they gave me the car, only for me to discover that several of the items on the 160-point checklist were missing. In particular, my car still had several dents. When I pointed them out to the sales agent, he pretended like he couldn't see them. I attached pictures of the dents to this review. Fortunately, they took the car back, and I got it a week later-- 2 weeks after the date I was originally promised the car would be ready. - SMOKE IN CAR: 1 month after owning the car, it became apparent that the previous owner had smoked in it. I had gone out of town for a week, and after it sat unused, the smell became so strong that I could not drive the car without getting headaches. I am pregnant and have a toddler, so I was concerned about my family's health in the vehicle. - IGNORED MESSAGES: I tried texting my sales agent, texting the official Mazda central number, calling and leaving voicemails for the manager, and sending an email to the manager, but none of my messages ever received responses. Finally, after a week of no responses, one of the managers answered one of my many calls. He essentially told me that it was not the dealership's responsibility that the car they sold me had been smoked in before they sold it to me. He offered to do a smoke bomb to remove the smell. However, I feel like my concerns were just brushed off as this will not actually address the underlying issue that they sold me a vehicle with cigarette toxins in the upholstery. Overall, I regret going to this dealership and would not recommend purchasing a car here. Hopefully my experience was unusual, but I wanted to leave this review to caution anyone considering doing business at this dealership. I have since heard that the other Austin locations, South and Georgetown, are more reliable. read more

(Pre-owned south)I found a car for my daughter 2 years ago and was waiting on it to arrive. We were in talks for several days while they finalized their acquisition of this vehicle on trade. It was a done deal and the salesman was going to call me as soon as it hit the lot on this particular day so I could come down and purchase. When he didn't return calls nor text for a few hours, I got nervous. I then called only to find out it had been sold. When I asked how this happened, he said someone put an online deposit for a car that wasn't even advertised yet. When I asked why I wasn't given that option, he just apologized without explanation. Later that day I found out that they hadn't taken online deposits in almost a year. I brought his to management and was completely lied to by the sales manager. (Pre-owned Central) Fast forward to this afternoon while I look for my youngest daughter. I gave them another chance because I understand that you can't always control the quality of your staff. I asked the chain smoking gentleman if they had anything in the $6kish price range on the lot for my 16 year old. He laughed and said that he wouldn't put HIS daughter in a $6k car. As he turned away he added that I might be able to find something on Craigslist with a salvaged title for that much. All of this is completely inaccurate, of course. It seems clear now that they have a pattern of hiring dishonest people. I have a wife and 6 daughters. Needless to say, I buy a lot of vehicles and have never been treated so poorly. read more
