It's so sad anymore that restaurants can't get the help they need, train people and provide support and supervision. We used to love Roger's food.. their great shakes.. and we knew we'd have to wait but it was worth it.. in the past...but last night when we went in what a change!! First the place was Smokey, very Smokey.. as if a fan hadn't been turned on. Finally they opened a door but outside it was like 10 degrees.. not a good idea for customers sitting inside. The restaurant itself was dirty.. tables not clean, the drink area full of dirty napkins and spilled sauces.. which I actually cleaned up before I got my sauce. The staff were teenagers.. no adult supervisor that I saw.. one young man had dread locks hanging in his face and since he was cooking I'm thinking that's probably not the best. They seemed stressed out, which I could understand as they are trying to take orders from the drive through and the walk ins. Clearly to much for the 4 of them. The food was the next issue. My shake was so thin it was like drinking milk, I didn't bother to send it back.. when I got my burger it was not throughly cooked and it was luke warm at best. Lots of fries but they were pretty soft Not crispy. I didn't finish my meal but threw most of it away. And for my husband and I that's $27.00 pretty much wasted. ( he had the same experience as mine ) I think the staff was doing the best they could but without any adult supervision and training and oversight they were floundering. Nice kids.. but way over their heads. Who ever owns this franchise store should be there supervising and making sure things are done correctly .. if you can't get enough staff close your drive through.. Sent husband my order after viewing their menu online, I wanted the burger of the month. Husband came home with the order and the burger of the month was not even beef, it was a new burger of the month but they didn't change their menu to reflect that. I called to inquire about what type of mystery meat I was given. Was told they have a new special, and that they would let someone know it was wrong on their menu. Completely disappointed. We just moved here from Post Falls and the Rogers in PF was a family favorite for after dinner milkshakes. Tonight I went to the Hayden (Hess St) location. I was in the drive thru line at 7:28 with 4 cars ahead of me. At 8:06 (yes, I know, but the fresh shakes are usually worth the wait), I finally got up to order and was told "we closed at 8:00." Nevermind Yelp says that they're open until 10pm. Now I'm stuck in line - can't pull through and they've placed cones behind me to block off the drive thru, so I can't back up either, and now I'm stuck. The CORRECT customer service solution would have been to serve the customers already in line. Being disrespected by the rude employee is unacceptable. Rogers in Hayden has a great group of kids there, and its clear to see they enjoy where they work. They make food fresh, and the wait can be a little long, but it's worth it. The shakes are great. The fries when hot are the best, and it's nice to have a hand crafted burger instead of a frozen run of the mill fast food special. I would recommend Roger just expect it will be longer than your average fast food spot! read more

Ha! This location of Rogers hasn't been claimed by the mother ship Rogers on Sherman Avenue in CDA. I now know why, it should either close or have the full corporate attention placed on making it well run. The drive thru line had a 25 minute wait and once you are in line there's no escaping. The lobby is closed... and while I see several employees standing around inside...I don't know their status but they were all joking around. The food here is not above standard and definitely not worth the wait and expense. Go to Wendy's just down the road, they've got it down. Literally the WORST customer service and fast food place I've ever been to! EVERY single time we come here, our order is WRONG and I'm sorry but you have total dipshits working here. Having worked fast food for 5+ years myself, it makes me cringe at the lack of training and knowledge this place employees. A bunch of young kids that don't know how to be professional or polite to customers. You need some mature adults with brain cells working and managing please. Let's start off with the fact that no one ever reads your order back to you, especially in the drive through, and you never get a receipt back either. Someone needs to retrain everyone working here and teach them about customer service. Every order should be repeated back to the customer! And the ironic part, is when they hand you the receipt to sign and it has a tip portion on it..haha yeah good joke. A tip for what? Not doing your job?! I've never had an order that was 100% accurate. Ever. The last time we came to this location, we ordered 3 burgers, 2 fries and 1 chip. Nothing was repeated back to us per usual, and the young kid handed us the bag and didn't say a word. Just closed the window and walked away. Might I add, every time you ask for dipping sauces, they act like that's such an inconvenience to them too. Anyway, I look in the bag and there's 1 fry and 3 burgers. It took me a minute to wave the kid down again and tell him we were missing a fry and a chip. He had a total piss ass attitude with me because I waved him down and heaven help if he had to stop scrolling on his phone to come back to help me. He couldn't understand what I was saying and had to go tell a manger that there was only 1 fry and missing another fry and one side of chips ‍ then comes back and says "oh yea I forgot we're out of chips" Sooooo he was just going to let us drive away and wasn't going to bother telling us that?! **Do yourself a favor and check your entire order before you drive away because it's most likely wrong.** So I told him that I wanted a fry in place of the chips that he forgot to tell us they were out of. And he comes back with one fry. Ok still missing ONE more side. So again I had to explain to him that we ordered 2 sides of fries and 1 chip and now we only have 2 fries and want another side of fries to replace the chip side and the kid just couldn't comprehend it. I was actually cracking up with my husband at how stupid this kid was. Like did he just smoke a doobie, or is he really that slow and dumb? Stop hiring 14 year olds that need a smoke break every 30 mins and please have some better training. There should be more employees working drive thru, especially on busy nights. That's another awesome thing, when you're trying to order in drive through and there's an employee in the dumpster/break area, smoking their cool vape pens and talking about inappropriate things with other employees. Do they not realize we can see and hear them? So impressive. Don't get me started with the inside. The dipping sauce and soda machine counter is ALWAYS a complete disgusting mess. No one keeps it stocked and there's sauces and sticky shit all over the counters all the time. The bathrooms are never clean or stocked but there's about 3-4 employees standing around their their head up their asses, doing nothing. Chatting and on their cell phones. They shouldn't even be allowed to have their phones on them. When I worked in fast food, that was the biggest no no and if a customer were to ever see us with a cell phone, we would be fired. We had to leave the phone in lockers and we could use it on a lunch break. That was it. So much down time and no one doing anything productive. The lobby tables are always a mess. I always find myself wiping them down myself before we sit down to eat. And these are on non busy days and times. Get it together Rodgers. Terrible service, Ordered 1 Hot Fudge Sundae with two types of ice cream. After a 30 minute wait was brought a milk shake that was so thick I could not suck it through a straw. Rogers in Hayden is a NEW Location across from the Walmart center. It has a large parking lot, drive thru & large inside eating area. this location had many employees working whom all seemed to be young teens to young adults. not many customers in here this day but they do have a very juicy burger & awesome shakes. this store seemed to have the employees standing around talking to one another, and the floors seemed to be very Dirty by the self serve fountain drink area. I believe this location needs a little more structure on its employees coz my food to quite a while to be served. read more

Not sure if it's the employees or the management but this location definitely has some kinks. The last two times have been really disappointing. A while back my daughter and I frequented the location on our way home. Burgers, fries, and ice cream to top off our in town running around. This was on a Saturday and it was busy. The kid at the front counter was very nice and patiently waited for my daughter to make up her mind. We received our food and ate in. About halfway through our meal some older gentlemen (by older I mean older than the typical teenage employees working) came in and started barking orders at the kid to clean, collect trays, and take out trash. This poor kid was so embarrassed. The restuarant had about 5 tables full and multiple people coming in and out for orders. I get it, fast food was my first job, and these things generally have to get done by those working front counter but the way the older gentleman treated this kid (especially in front of customers) was down right rude. More recently I swung in and ordered the burger of the month, the Casanova. I ordered it specifically because of the grilled mushrooms. I get home, about 25 mins north of the location, and my burger didn't have any mushrooms! This was after waiting in the drive thru for 15-20 mins. I understand the wait for freshly cooked food but seriously, the burger was missing the main selling point! I think it's almost worth it for me to drive the extra bit out of the way to go to the Post Falls or CDA location. Hopefully the reviews on this page help shed some light on the lack of attentiveness at the Hayden location. There is a lot of potential, just have to have the right people working. read more

We recently went through the drive thru at the Rogers on Honeysickle and when we went through there was no one else in the drive thru during a late afternoon on a Friday! It was very slow for car and foot traffic! The young man who took our order and money was extremely friendly, however the service was terrible! The restaurant was extremely sparse for patrons inside and yet for the 2 scoop cone and 2 milkshakes it took close to 20 minutes as we waited at the receiving window and cars started lining up behind us! No fresh food such as burgers and fries to cook, just scooping ice cream and blending shakes! My wife left the vehicle to check inside and and there was 4-5 young people working and what looked like a shift manager! The response is that they had so many orders to fill??? I guess we were missing something! There was no straws or napkins provided either! Disappointing as the ice cream is good! For the price and service the product does not meet the hassle! read more

I try Roger's every now again to see if they have improved. Unfortunately, it looks like one step forward and two steps back. My experience this time was a shock. When I turned into the parking lot I noticed cars trying to back up and get out of line. Should have got the message but I figured two less cars so shorter wait for me. It put me two cars behind the next guy up by the menu board. Unfortunately when he made it to the menu board to order 20 minutes later, he was unable to move. Just like me who had cars behind me. We had to wait for the guy at the window to move. When he did my total gain was 4'. A car leaves the line and I gain 4'? So I take a look, there is about 5' between each car in the line in front of me. I make it to where I can make myself heard by the girl and placed my order. Couldn't hear a word she was saying. Someone up front gave everyone an extra foot so I got to hear the "Anything else?" I say no but I have a suggestion for you. Tell everyone when you have taken their order to move closer up to the car ahead of you. That will give you a better chance to clear this line. Answer - "I can't do that" 20 minutes from order to window. I have now been at Roger's for 50 minutes. I see a bag arrive from the cooks, it just sits there. The cashier, Jaelynn according to my receipt, takes an order from another car and I think That's my little order. Not yet. She turns her back to the window. walks away, comes back, gets another bag. Too big for mine. Takes the small bag and moves it to beside her terminal. Ah, it's mine. Not yet it isn't. Another 10 minutes goes by and she opens her window to get my money. Then she takes the small bag from next to her terminal and hands it to me. I told her I had seen her place it there and I know how long it had sat on the other side. Her response "It's still warm on the bottom" I had gotten to the get me out of here stage, so pulled into the parking lot. The kids hamburger had been smashed flat. I got the picture. I gave a suggestion so was being punished, except the kids burger wasn't mine. What was done to my burger apart from making me wait for it to get cold? Visions of spitting on food come to mind. I am done with Roger's. No use complaining to the owners, they duck responsibility. So Roger's owners, if you want to get your store on an even keel, you had better do it fast. It must be Mikes first time being a GM, he has not a single brain cell as well as his employees. When trying to talk to him about an issue with his employees he completely dismissed the issue saying "i've never had problem with that kid." He's only been working at Rogers since May 2023. He doesn't have the brain capacity to be able to handle any situation with a customer complaint and he seems like a complete tweaker, laughing while on the phone and in person while I was explaining what had happened. Mike and the employee did not apologize for what had happened. While we were waiting for our order, a random employee comes up to the window and stares down my partner, when asked what was wrong he opened the window and told him he was cute. We asked for our food so we could leave and the kid told us we would get it at some point then continued staring at my partner with the window open this time. I asked for my shake to be made extra thick as they are always very watery well not only did I get another very watery shake, but after waiting in the long line I got my expensive meal home to find all the lettuce on the outside of my extremely soggy bun and rock hard fries! I wish I could give this particular location a 4-5 star rating however the last 3 times I've stopped by the Drive-Thru I've ordered a milk shake, I get it's made to order and fresh and that's totally fine however everytime so far my milkshakes have been runny and basically liquified with zero thickness or let alone any sort of ice cream left. Not sure if it's because it's been sitting for a while while waiting for the person in front of me or what, but the burger place in Coeur D'Alene definitely has the most perfect shakes, everytime I order through their Drive-Thru. It's just frustrating given how much you pay for one meal you'd hope you can enjoy your milkshake. The food is great, just they need to work on those shakes consistency. I use to love to go to Rogers In Hayden Idaho. I did not mind waiting for my food as it was cooked fresh. However the last 2 yes I have gone there it's been terrible . I waited 22.00 minutes from when I ordered untill I paid and recurved my food . I Always order Xtra grilled onions and tonight I was told they were out of grilled onions . Yet they have raw onions to put on the burgers . So when I finally talked to the young girl at the window why that was . She had no answer . I realize these kids are young. Then when I received my food , the fries were cold as well as the cheese burger . I probably will not go there again . I like to help small business. My family loves this place, I think it's just ok (not a big hamburger person) but every time I go here it takes forever. I always cal ahead, hoping my order will be ready when I get there but it never is. Today I called ahead and said I'd be there in 15 minutes with no objections from the girl taking my order. I showed up 15 minutes later and the food was waiting for me which happily surprised me! They said my shakes were almost ready so I grabbed my sauces and ran to the car before heading back for my shakes. I waited more then 20 minutes for 4 shakes. First of all, if really shouldn't take that long to make 4 shakes and I don't understand why why waited until I got there to START making them? And mind you, there was at least 5 people working there, a few cars in the drive thru and ZERO people in the lobby so I'm not sure why it took so long. Then they hand me the four shakes (I'm clearly by myself since the lobby is empty) and I had to ask for a carrier. The people are nice but appear to lack common sense. Why I waited for my shakes the burgers got soggy, and fries got cold and the bag got greasier, to the point that the bag split when I tried to take it out of my car.
