Loved the building, it's always interesting to look at the old architecture and goodies the restaurant has collected over the years. Loved eating in a booth on the porch, perfect for this nice weather. The fries were tasty and I scarfed down the burger.

The room was clean and large enough for 4 people who get along. Shower had powerful and hot water. We especially appreciated the free hot coffee, cookies and pastries available all the time. The bistro served ok breakfast but can't complain since as a Marriott platinum member you get $20 food credit per day so if you stay within budget you can get a free breakfast. There is a pool, laundry facilities and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking outside in the lot. Within maybe 11- 15 minutes of Cornell by car. Pro tip: book one year in advance for Cornell graduation if you want to use points. I used 74,000 points for two nights. Also, if you call and speak to someone, ask for the Cornell rate and you can probably get it for $250 a night. I was surprised that they had rooms a few months before graduation when I called. For some reason, people don't think this hotel is near Cornell but it is! I guess because it is not near any restaurants within walking distance, it's not as popular. Everybody was so nice and helpful at this hotel.

Convienent location, but for price point, not worth it. Disappointing for a newer Marriott courtyard.

Who ever heard of a hotel that calls itself an "airport hotel," but which does not provide airport…read moretransportation and is not within walking distance of the airport? The Choice Hotels website states that the hotel provides courtesy transportation. This is false - they do not have shuttle service to the airport or provide any other "courtesy transportation." So I had to pay for an Uber to take me to and from the airport, which is a couple of miles away. The Choice Hotels website states that the hotel provides a free hot breakfast. There is a notice posted at the front desk that they do not provide breakfast of any kind. The front desk staff were nice. They said they get these complaints all the Time and they have asked management many times to have the website information corrected. I am offended by the false information and false advertising. This place is rip off.

2/5 stars Too many hygiene and maintenance issues -- not…read moreworth it unless you're truly desperate. The biggest issue with this hotel is the air quality. The ventilation system is clearly not working or not maintained. The room smells musty and stale, and there's a real risk of mold or mildew. I had to keep the window open at all times just to breathe comfortably. Cleanliness overall is below standard. While I was lucky to have a clean bed and bathroom, the room still felt a bit grimy. I found a long black hair in the towels, and the mini-fridge smelled absolutely putrid, so I couldn't use it -- which meant my food spoiled. The hallway stinks like urine, and the stairwell is filthy. Just walking in and out of the building feels unpleasant and demoralizing. Honestly, I started avoiding going outside just to avoid dealing with it. There are a few positives: The receptionist was friendly and helpful I felt mostly safe thanks to a digital lock on the room The location is decent, with stores and restaurants nearby They helped store my luggage since there's no elevator But the negatives far outweigh the positives: Wifi didn't work No free coffee or tea No breakfast Water from the sink smells weird No elevator Dirty common areas This is not a place I'd recommend unless price is your absolute top priority and you can tolerate poor air quality, smells, and questionable hygiene. Definitely not a 3-star stay -- it barely scrapes by at 2 stars.

So many good things about this place, but a few negatives that slightly marred the experience…read more First, the areas for improvement: 1.) none of the USB ports at the bedside tables worked. None of the four. It's a mild inconvenience, to be sure, but having to plug everything up on the opposite side of the room was a pain. 2.) my shower wasn't clean. It's a lovely big shower with a little ledge inside for sitting/shaving, but mine had crusted soap (I guess?) from a previous and stuck to the ledge, there was hair in the shower, and shampoo (I guess) on the walls. Neither the hair, nor the old shampoo were mine. 3.) I could have sworn I selected the option for breakfast being included. I paid $250 for the room. Turns out I was mistaken and had to pay for my breakfast. In the grand scheme of things not the worst thing in the world, but when you're paying $250 a night breakfast shouldn't be an additional charge. This is a Canopy property, so of course the decor is stunning. There's a lovely fireplace in the lobby, and from the light fixtures to the artfully displayed knick-knacks all over the property, this place reads luxury. A few good things: 1.) the employees. There's an airport shuttle from Ithaca, and when the manager, Charis, came to get me he was incredibly kind. He took my bag to the hotel and dropped me at a local restaurant so I could enjoy happy hour oysters, AND he came back an hour later to pick me up. SO kind. Sam in the restaurant made breakfast a delight. She moved quickly and pays attention to guest needs. Great response time and knowledgeable about the menu. 2.) there's a free shuttle for local stops near the hotel. This is honestly the reason I chose this location as opposed to any other, and this free shuttle availability saved me at least $100 on Ubers during my day/night in town. They really don't mind running you here and there, and it's a wonderful little treat. 3.) breakfast is great. I was torn between the Eggs Benedict or the Lox, and at Sam's recommendation I opted for the Eggs Benedict. GREAT choice. The hollandaise is delicious, the bacon is crispy, and the English muffin is perfectly toasted. Poached eggs are an art form as far as I'm concerned, and these are beautifully done. The breakfast menu here in general looks great, and if this dish is any indication, you likely can't go wrong. 4.) they're actively working to reduce plastics at this location. I love that there are glass bottles in the room that you can fill with ice and filtered water on every floor. Talk about intentional. Kudos on this front. 5.) getting a late check out was easy. 6.) the location is ideal for exploring the Commons, a pedestrian block of little places that's crawling with college kids. It's easy to walk to a local bar and have a quick drink, but be careful where you go...I went to the Chantillery (or some such nonsense), and they absolutely scammed me on the one drink I ordered. The good things about this place far out number the negative, but for $250 a night, this should be a 5-star experience. Even though the hotel fell short in a few ways, the people here would encourage me to come back. I'd just ask housekeeping to go over the room once more before I checked in.

I briefly pulled into the parking lot to get my belongings, and instead of being treated with basic courtesy, I was confronted by a staff member who spoke to me in a threatening and aggressive manner. It was completely unprofessional and honestly shocking for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. On top of that, the parking situation is absolutely terrible. The layout is confusing, spaces are limited, and it feels very poorly managed. Even if you are a guest, it doesn't seem like there's any effort to make parking convenient or stress-free. Between the hostile interaction and the frustrating parking setup, I would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of other hotels that treat people with respect and don't make something as simple as parking a headache.

The best part is that it's just a few footsteps away to a big plaza with a giant supermarket, plus liquor shop, top-notch bagel shop , and a passable take-out-only Chinese place too ... The room was a horror show: absolutely filthy, with layers of dust thick enough for someone to write vulgar, offensive words on the fireplace and windows. It was beyond gross--it was sickening. The linens were stained, smelled awful, and clearly hadn't been washed. We had no choice but to go out and buy clean bedding ourselves just so our kids wouldn't have to sleep in that filth. I wouldn't let a stray dog sleep in that bed. The staff were openly rude and useless, and Manager Steve is one of the nastiest people I've ever dealt with in hospitality. Completely unprofessional, full of attitude, and made it clear he didn't care about our complaints or experience at all. He acted like we were the problem, not the moldy hellhole he's running. To top it all off, someone at the hotel changed the phone number and email on my rewards account attached to the reservation--so we didn't get any of our loyalty points or benefits. Convenient, right? They completely dodged responsibility when confronted. This place is a scam wrapped in filth, run by people who shouldn't be anywhere near customer service. Avoid at all costs. I wouldn't stay here again if it were the last hotel on Earth.
