    birthday dessert

Celebrated a birthday with the family. There were 8 of us and the dinner was great. It's a fun experience to be able to cook your own steak the way you prefer on the lava rok. A must try, but you will leave smelling like food.

This was our 2nd time coming here to celebrate a birthday. Both times were great! The service was quick and the staff were really friendly! With all the hot stones it did get pretty Smokey and hot inside the restaurant. We asked for them to open up a window and they were super nice about it and opened up on of the garage style windows and it was so much more pleasant inside! The food is great! And such an immersive experience with cooking your food on the lava stones! The only slightly negative thing I would have to say, is with the poke salad. Some of the ahi pieces seemed a little tough... But over all experience was fantastic! I would highly recommend this place to people!

Omg, do not come here on Valentine's day, even with a reservation. This place was crazy busy and crazy understaffed. Our reservation was for 730, and we probably did not eat till closer to 930. For a place where the food comes out undercooked and you have to cook your own food, that is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. I did feel like everyone was doing their best so I appreciated their hard work. I got the ahi. It is sashimi grade tuna so you can eat it pretty rare. I thought it was a good portion for the price and it was of pretty good quality. I will have to try this spot out again when it is not a busy holiday.

My partner and I came here for dinner on a Sunday. It was not super busy when we arrived as it was an early dinner. We were seated upon arrival. Food: I ordered the mushroom and veggies skillet. It was pretty good. The cook is completely determined by how you cook it on the Rok stone. It can get pretty steamy or smokey while you're cooking, but it was a good time. My partner had the filet mignon. They enjoyed the food, and the instructions by the server were helpful! You can also order their prepared meals if you do not want to do the Rok system. We also ordered the molten chocolate cake that was good. It was pretty standard. Service: Service was quick and friendly. Our food came out quickly since we were doing the Rok system. Our server was friendly and helpful with how to cook our food. TL;DR - Interesting cooking concept with good service and decent food

We came from out of town and decided to stop by to grab a quick bite. We had no expectations and so we ordered two espresso martini and a steak salad for myself. Service was excellent and we definitely will return here again!

We were looking for a place for dinner and decided to come here and try it out as it was in walking distance to our hotel. We were seated right away by the hostess. Our server who was also the bartender was awesome and exemplified great customer service. The restaurant is pretty big in sislze with many tables available for seating. They also have a bar inside. We ordered: 1. Ribeye with broccoli and orzo pasta 2. Wagyu New York with roasted veggies and orzo pasta + sautéed mushrooms 3. Side of Coconut Shrimp (fried well and tasty) 4. Creme Brulee 5. Volcanic Cake 6. Sundae I must say that all of the entrees that we ordered were delicious and would get them again. You have the option of cooking your steak on a hot "rock" or have them cook it for you in the kitchen. Several of us opted for one or the other and was k.pressed with the food. The pre-cooked steak was prepared well to our liking and the sides were also delicious. We were a little hesitant to come here at first as it looked as though the restaurant was not too busy, but we were happy that we made the choice to come. We enjoyed our time here and loved the food. We will return in the future and would recommend this restaurant.

The steak is so tender & flavorful. I got the wrap & my friend hot the lava rock. Waiter showed her how to cook on it so the steak would not get cooked past medium well. They have great lunch specials too. My other friends got a pasta plate from the lunch menu for $13.99. It's in a great location right off 237 and plenty of parking. Also many other restaurants. We went to Starbucks afterward for an extra treat.

Was craving a steak for dinner and checked this spot out. It was decently busy for a weekday, it looks like a lot of tech folks come to eat here after dinner. We ordered the coconut shrimp for the appetizer and shared a rok of a pound of steak which came with some sides. The concept is cool that you get to cook your meat on a rok, and to your liking. The quality wasn't bad but also wasn't great. It wasn't very well seasoned in my opinion. Also, it's a bit overpriced for what it is, They however have great service and are super attentive.

Family took my husband here for his birthday and food was amazing. Our server (Ming) was awesome, friendly and so funny. When we asked for more water he said, "Come back tomorrow... it's supposed to rain." This location was well decorated, clean and just had a fun time. We will definitely come back.

8oz. New York Strip Garlic Herb Fries (Vegetarian) Orzo

Came in on a Friday night & the restaurant was pretty empty. Only a couple of other patrons inside. We ordered two cocktails, an appetizer, & two dishes on the rock stone with sides. The old fashioned was delicious. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I got the New York strip, and my partner got the bison. It was cool to cook your meat how you want on the hot stone, but the quality of meat wasn't amazing. The bison was more tender and more flavorful than the strip. Both came with chimichurri, which didn't look fresh and was not the best in flavor. The fries and garlic herb fries were nice and crispy. The only difference from the two was an addition of cheese, herb, and crushed red pepper. Could barely taste any garlic. I did enjoy the orzo which had the perfect texture, but could use a little more flavor. Overall would not need to come back again.

One of the perfect places for a quick lunch or a nice dinner. Being able to prepare your steak, scallops etc the way you want to on a volcanic rock is extremely cool. I love the lunch menu, you get about half off from 11-3 which is great for those stressful work days. Service is always fantastic and the food is even better. One thing that threw me off was how good the bowls are. If you're ever in the mood for a nice protein bowl, drop the Chipotle and make your way over to Rok instead. One of the best things on the menu is the Baked Crab dip though. I could order about 3 or 4 of these and would be in heaven. All of the steaks are delicious but know that you must be QUICK to remove it off the volcanic rock or you'll overcook it. If that doesn't sound like it's for you then grab any of the other amazing entress like the breakfast wrap, jambalaya, chicken parm, you name it. Restaurant is fantastic!

Food and service were alright. Went on Valentine's Day so expected a longer wait time than average. But writing this because I was annoyed with their branded vehicle being parked in one of the two handicap spots in front of the location. It did have a handicap placard hanging so technically nothing wrong with it being there. However, the vehicle was there for the whole two hours I was dining inside, and I'm sure it is there frequently. It reads as lazy and inconsiderate to those who need the parking spot, like my 89 year old grandma I took to dinner. Hopefully they'll consider parking in somewhere else in that giant lot and walk a few more steps to accommodate others.

Great ambiance, food and service. Come and enjoy Father's Day specials. Call in for reservations. Walk ins welcome too!

Thought that was kinda weird to do for a children's burger but the kids all ate their meals. I actually didn't see the pink of her burger until she was done and had already eaten about 3/4ths of it. The fries were actually the best part. I had the nachos and the chips def needed salt. I ate about half because I was starving but they would've been better with more beans and sauce as it was still quite bland. The nachos look better than they tasted that's for sure. Atmosphere 5/5 - This was the best place for hanging out with friends and it had plenty for the kids to run off and do. And they knew we were done because the waiter came and took half our plates when we were finished. The place was practically dead so I don't know what the hold up was. I'm sure this place gets packed when there's events going on. The food and prices were not my favorite. I don't live nearby so I obviously wouldn't make the trip back out just to eat here again. The only thing note worthy was the atmosphere since the kids had a blast hanging out with their friends.

I have tried several items such as street tacos, quesabirria tacos, burritos, Barbacoa (soup) and menudo (soup). My favorites are the weekend red menudo which has no hominy, but wish it did and the burrito (in both sizes). Menudo is one of the best in the area (I shouldn't say that too loud, but it's true). It's not watered down like other restaurants, it's full bodied and meats (tripe and pata) are soft. I do wish we had an option of hominy that we can request. Burrito have been filling as I have tried several meats. It's heavy to the hand and filling to anyone's belly. Sometimes I enjoy for 2 mini meals in a day. Quesa birria tacos are the third favorite. Cheesy, crispy and greasy in the best way. Consume is flavorful too. The least favorites are the barbacoa (soup) as itwas mostly broth and minimal shreds of beef, if any. The tacos are enjoyed by family, but there is an abundance of a taste or flavor I don't prefer. I maybe wrong but I think it's oregano (but again not 100%). The third not so fav are the regular nachos with just cheese and jalepeno. Also, a negative is that 2 orders were missing items. So check your bags to make sure. So thats not a good feeling when that part of someone's order but recourse is to drive back or let third party know to get a few dollars off. We prefer to receive order and enjoy. Not to follow up with a drive back or a complaint of an item shortage to get refunded a few bucks. Otherwise the staff inside are very nice and understanding. The menudo and burrito are favorited of mine. I will follow up and order other dishes or appetizers, along with the weekend red menudo.
