I had a doctors appointment at El Camino Health and I had an to spare during lunch time. I decided to give Fish's wild a shot because the name was kind of fascinating. I tried Thai chicken curry and it was an average dish. Though there size was good but somehow less rice with a lot of curry. My daughter had chicken taco and she said it is ok.

Probably my number one katsu ever. Comparing to other Hawaiian places, the chicken was juicy but not in an oily way. It had a nice crisp to it. The Mac salad was creamy but didn't feel fatty. It had crunches from onions and carrots that tied in with the creamy texture. The best part was the sauce. The BEST katsu sauce I ever had. The sauce was tangy but wasn't overpowering with vinegar. It has sweetness to it to balance out the tang. That whole plate was about $15 too! The spam musubi had a crisp to it and it wasn't overpowered by rice like some places. Still pretty tasty. The tilapia wrap was soft and wasn't salty at all. Their overall wraps seems healthy with greens. Pairing it with the katsu sauce was top tier. I'm surprised it's not crowded, Definitely coming back!

This place is a 3.5 stars. So we came here cause I wanted seafood. So I ended up with the fish plate with rice and Mac salad. Got the fish with Cajun seasoning and it was good perfectly cooked fish. The rice was dry and old tasting on both dishes and the Mac salad was extremely salty. Did enjoy the fish and shrimp tacos. Just wish there were more shrimp. There was like only 5 pieces of shrimp. The chicken was just okay very typical. We ordered on a self kiosk. And there's plenty of seating inside.

I needed a quick lunch and I've been wanting to try out this spot. It's interesting that they're called Fish's wild but also offer Hawaiian food! I got the bbq chicken and katsu plate with brown rice and veggies. It was pretty well portioned and didn't taste too oily which I appreciate!!! I don't like eating super oily fried food. The veggies and brown rice options made it healthy, but would like to try their Mac salad next time! They have a a good amount of sides to try from. Food was made fairly quick, but maybe it was because I was the only person ordering during lunch lol Otherwise, Will def come back !

My husband had the mahi-mahi tacos

This was our first time here and the food was amazing. The owners of the restaurant was extremely polite, and the ambience of the location was clean, quiet, and well decorated. We will definitely come back.

Ample parking in this square and they have a good seating and ambiance inside for a quick lunch. Loved their vast menu choices and full entrees of grilled seafood with 2 sides in $18. Friendly staff and quick service calls for a good lunch spot in the neighbourhood. On a weekday, i walked in to order takeout and order was ready in less than 10 mins while i picked my cvs prescription next door. In $18, i got: - grilled tilapia fish 2 pcs 5/5 cajunstyle - side of steamed veggies - brocolli, carrot, zucchini, cabbage/ bokchoy - fries - 4/5 decent masala cajun fries with not crazy spicy but good medium spicy :) made fresh and packed separately. So smart! Thank god for that :) Deducting 1 star due to price - i wish they served half the portion size for half the price (something like a lunch menu in $10 or so) so its more affordable for daily lunches. Will definitely be coming back to try the salmon and chicken katsu

This little venue reminds me of a mix of Hawaiian BBQ and Thai food. The place was clean and they had a self-ordering station as well as a live person who could take your order. I had the chicken katsu with macaroni salad rice...the macaroni was a bit salty, the katsu thin, and the rice wasn't the traditional white rice. I was expecting it to taste like L&L but since it paled in comparison, I was disappointed. My friend enjoyed shrimp curry and she loved it.

Good selection of seafood entrees. Tried their fish taco combo today. Their fries are good; yummy batter and fries are crispy but not oily. Tacos were stuffed full and they have various sauces at each table. Lady at the counter is very sweet. Clean and simple interior. There is outdoor patio seating as well. Self dispense fountain drinks are available. They also sell bottled beer behind the refrigerator along with other beverages.

The Portuguese sausage was rubbery and unappetizing. Even the poke salad had a strange tang to it. Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

For our first plate, we ordered the Chicken Katsu (no additional charge) and the Crispy Shrimp (an extra $0.50). For the second plate, we got another Chicken Katsu with the Beef (also an extra $0.50). One thing I really liked is the self-serve sauce station. They have katsu sauce that you can pump into small containers, along with teriyaki sauce and several additional sauce packets, so it's easy to customize your meal. The Chicken Katsu was crispy and tasty, but the Crispy Shrimp only came with three pieces, and the beef was just okay. The portions are also a bit smaller compared to Olioli Hawaiian BBQ, although the prices are noticeably lower. My biggest disappointment was that the plates come with a green salad instead of macaroni salad. For me, macaroni salad is part of what makes a Hawaiian plate feel complete, so I really wish that were included instead. Overall, it's a good value, especially if you have one of their coupons. I still prefer Olioli Hawaiian BBQ for the larger portions and more traditional Hawaiian plate experience, but Ono Hawaiian BBQ is definitely worth trying when there's a BOGO deal.

The icing on top was when we told the sweet hostess that it was my mom's birthday, and she said to definitely tell our server! After our yummy lunch, we were given a complimentary order of malasadas (yum!) and then Mom got a special ice cream cup with a huge sparkler candle and the entire restaurant sang to her! But wait, there's more! Noelani's was celebrating their 13th anniversary today, so we got free live musical entertainment (normally it's only on Friday and Saturday nights) by the talented Rick Rasay. Who then proceeded to serenade Mom by changing the words to one of the songs he sang! She felt so special! AND finally, as part of their 13th anniversary, Noelani's was giving out coupons to their paying customers for free shave ice from Paradise Shave Ice who put a pop-up outside their restaurant. So yummy! And they were so super nice too - will definitely keep them in mind for any shave ice catering needs! We don't visit this restaurant as we're down in the South Bay, but we definitely plan to visit them more often! Thanks for making my mom's day so wonderful! This was an especially bittersweet birthday, as it was the first one without my dad, but somehow I think he was smiling down at us and blessing us today!
