There are no building stairs to the roof, so the technician must bring a ladder and climb about 11 feet indoors. This unusual setup made it difficult for me to find a company willing to handle the access, but Manny's was able to take care of it without any issues. It has been 10 days since the repair, and the air conditioner is running normally again. Other companies needed me to purchase additional parts to get it fixed but Jerry was able to get my AC working the same day. My HVAC unit was nearing it's end of life so I was also comparing bids on what made the most sense for my condo. Jerry offered to temporarily 'lend' us a new capacitor and pumped freon into my system at no charge while I made the decision whether I wanted just the fix or to replace my system. If I decided to just go with the fix, I would pay for it of course, but if I went with replacing the system, they would just take back their capacitor and reclaim the freon. This was a hugely appreciated gesture. Their HVAC replacement proposal was also very competitive. I ultimately decided to replace the system. The experience was pleasant from beginning to end. Cecilia is the one who helps schedule at the office, very friendly and responsive. Jerry was the technician who helped us diagnose the issue and coordinate the HVAC team. He was friendly, transparent, and always responded quickly to my texts/questions - great communication. The day of, the workers Juan, Victor and Andrew were very professional. Maintained constant communication the whole time, kept me updated on the process and what they were doing. They wore booties inside, protected the floor with tarp, and were just very careful in general. The installation of the unit itself is very professionally done, and they vacuumed everything and cleaned up afterwards. They even explained how to register the units for warranties etc. They were able to remove the old AC and install the whole new system the same day, roughly ~5-6 hours including the crane to get the units on/off the roof of the condo building.

I paid $11,000 for a job that really is substandard. 1. Danny came to do my quote and was very nice, but when actual installation came he was not onsite. A very young and inexperienced guy installed the units basically in the middle of the wall. I was not consulted asked before the guy tore huge fist size holes in my wall that are in no way standard placement for mini splits. The guy moved the unit, I had to pay for the walls to be repaired and repainted! 2. The condenser was placed on the ground in the driveway. Again--I was never consulted about where it was to be installed. It should have been installed on the side of the house--it limits the function of my driveway forever. I cannot get my recycling/trash out if I am parked in my own driveway. 3. The drains that were placed on the outer wall of my house were installed so poorly that they constantly fall off. They were not adhered at all. When I put them back up, they are fitted so shoddily that they cannot be secured. Every time I pick them up and try to reassemble them--I can see how jankily they were put together. One of them is now cracked and water is spewing all over my wall. For nearly $11K spent, I feel really taken advantage of and bad about the integrity of their work. I contacted them in advance of this review with all of these points--they never responded.
