We stopped by here to pick up a red velvet desert, was kind of bummed out because they didn't have many desert selections to pick from, that could be because they were closing in less then an hour when we got there, but the red velvet desert we got was pretty good, but was very small and a little pricey, next time I will come earlier in the day and see if they have a bigger selection next time. read more

WOW! Never thought I'd see such a cute and quality place in the middle of Reseda! I came here with my dad a few days ago and it was awesome. We ended up having a Margahreta pizza which was tasty, and some avocado rolls (although they were tasty, we wouldn't have gotten them had we realized they were fried). Their coffees are AWESOME and so are their pastries! Honestly, one thing that really stood out to me was the fact that they spent so much detail in the decor as well as their meal presentation, which is really cool. Prices: Fair! We went for dessert and coffee only. Crappy service. Crappy cakes: we got five different mini cakes, all were dry, especially the "mousse" ...which was not mousse at all but plain chocolate cake. The creme brulee had pie crust haha! I ordered a cappuccino and it was served in a glass and was in fact a latte, but when I told the waitress she said "no it's a cappuccino". The boyfriend ordered an iced mocha and it was hot at the bottom and cold at the very top, and the espresso was chalky :/ they need a better barista. Roladin is one of those place you go for a special treat, and when you have plenty of time. It's a special treat for two reasons: first, the food is AMAZING. It's extremely healthy, and their dishes are delectable. The second reason, however, is that it's expensive. Their smoked salmon salad is more than $15 after taxes, and the rest of their food is marked up quite a bit as well. That being said, their ambiance makes for a great lunch environment -- not dingy, but not over classed. The entire restaurant smells of fresh baked kosher pastries, which isn't so horrible either. When it comes to time, again, there are two reasons. First, you'll want plenty of time to savor their food. They don't skimp on their portions either. But, as a general rule, you just don't want to scarf down good food. The second reason, on the other hand, is that service isn't very quick. I wanted to order carry out, and stood in line for about 10 minutes longer than was appropriate. If you're at a long work lunch, if it's after work, or it's the weekend, there's no problem. But if you're crunched for time, it might be best to try something else. All in all, Roladin is great! OVERPRICED for the quantity! I ordered the Israeli Cheesecake and it was 2"x1"x1.5" and they considered that an X-LARGE for $7.95. When I looked at the menu, it stated $4.25 but the waitress overcharged me. I questioned it and she said that was for the mini which was much smaller, but I was not given a choice what size I would prefer. I did not argue further since it was delicious but not $8 worth. I had passed by this place several times since I frequent the other businesses in the plaza and thought I would give it a try. I thought this was a bakery but it's so much more. It's a nice sit-down dairy restaurant. They have pizzas, salads, delicious sandwiches, and fish. The menu is extensive with the usual mediterranean fare and unique and creative items as well. I had the avocado toast and my wife had the omelette sandwich. It's about $15 for an entree. I was stopping by Loehmann's today and saw this little gem. Had to go in and try it because I LOVE pastries and cakes. Service is wonderful. The girl behind the counter was super nice. I asked about what was popular and she really gave me a great selection. I ended up getting the Tiramisu, Raspberry Panna cotta, and 6 Mexican Wedding Cookies for $9. Tiramisu was excellent! The lady fingers actually had some body and wasn't drowned in rum liqueur. The cream layers were fluffy and nicely whipped. The caramel had a nice subtle burnt taste. I could definitely taste the rum and to some it may be overpowering, but for me it was rather perfect. Pleased. Raspberry Panna cotta was light. Not too sweet. The raspberry definitely complimented it well. I think the whipped cream was the topping for lemon meringe but this one didn't have the lemon meringue in it. They do have the lemon one which I will try next time. Haven't had too many Panna cottas but this is certainly one of my favorites. Mexican Wedding Cookies were pretty good. They were a little different from the usual walnut (?) filled ones. They had itty bitty chunks of chocolate chip. I'm not a huge chocolate lover (Weird huh?). If you do like chocolate though, then this is a nice variation. Overall, they were a little crispier, chunkier, and cookier than the normal fall-apart-melt-in-your-mouth splendor that I'm used to. Came here this past weekend for brunch with a few friends. The atmosphere is very modern chic. It looks like something that you'd find in H.wood, not the SFV. I enjoyed the complimentary freshly toasted rolls with the tapenade spreads. Tasty! We ordered the spanish tapa, architoke tapa, and the make your own omelette platters. The tapas were sweet, probably because of the honey. It was a little sweet for my taste and didnt quite resemble the omelette that i was anticipating. It looked more like a frittata. The omelette that my friend got was good though. It was open face and came with feta cheese and cottage cheese. Overall, the ambiance is good but the food is mediocre. My girlfriend and I were very excited to try this fresh new place, but were soon hit with a feeling we had been bamboozled. I should mention this place has NO meat(besides fish). I repeat, the chicken items on the menu are all made of soy. Being a vegetarian, my gf didn't much mind, and ended up getting the avocado panini which was terrible. The bread was dry, the avocado was slim as was the feta. However, since I am NOT a vegetarian I chose to get the Salmon wrap. It was delicous, yet a little pricey. For the money, Panini Cafe down the street (literally) is much much better. Also, this neighborhood cafe lacks the customer service and hospitality that lesser known places pride themselves on. So I've seen this place a couple of times before because it's right next door to my favorite juice bar. I got my smoothie as a usually do and decided to go and pick up a pastry. During this time the place was empty. I step in and this girl starts yelling at me that No outside drinks were allowed inside. I tried to tell her I just wanted to order something and I'll be on my way. But she still continued to be condescending and rude. It was really uncomfortable. I understand if she politely asked me but she was completely rude and basically told me to leave because I was holding a drink that I didn't even start drinking. If i could give 0 that what i will do , second Sunday i go there with my wife and two girls (two and four years old), after waiting first time for 40 min we said we will try one more time to see how it is because we leave next to it and eat kosher food . After waiting 30 min for food again we told the waitress that they should do something about the waiting time for the kids because they eat the bread and then don't eat the food, she called the manager that started blaming me for coming on a sunday and said you shouldn't come here any more, and when i had kids your age I stayed at home. When I tried to tell her that we go to other restaurant and they take out food for the kids faster she said maybe-at McDonald and said you are not welcome here any more and kicked me out! Been going here for awhile now. I've bought their pastries, cakes and dined for brunch. their food are delicious, their flavor combinations really stand out, it is quite an experience. Their pastries are delectable, their cakes are sweet but their cream and mouses are mouthwatering. Check out their display case and you'll understand what I mean. The cake slices are so seductive. You'll find the cream, cake, and mouse ratio will more than satisfy your sweet cravings. I do feel the service needs some improvement. when I come here for cakes and pastries, service is outstanding at the counter. although some servers need more training on the cakes they serve. They greet you at the display case but once you ask them a question about what kind of cake and flavors, half the time they don't know and have to refer you to someone else. I guess that's ok. I've also sat in the patio for brunch and waited a long time for some service. read more

This place is pretty awesome :D. We were going to stop by the Starbucks in that plaza to get some work done but there weren't any open tables so my friend said to head over here. I love the sofa type seats they have a long the walls, and the engraved ceiling tiles, and I don't remember if they have chandeliers but everything is so pretty! I think they have a glass store front with curtains hanging over it but I can't remember. We had cappuccinos (I don't drink coffee but I got one cuz you can't have pastries with water!) and she got the fruit tart while I got the black and white cake. You really can't go wrong with a fruit tart. I should've gotten a pure chocolate cake, but the black and white (chocolate and vanilla) looked so good I couldn't resist. I'm not sure if it worked out right or not because the cappuccino was too bitter (I don't drink coffee) and the cake was too sweet, so I'd take a bite of cake and wash it down with a sip of coffee lol. I loved how prettily they plated the pastries. They drizzled chocolate, sprinkled powdered sugar, and decorated with strawberry halves (pretty sure strawberries are out of season but they weren't sour at all!). Unfortunately, I can't justify paying almost $5 for a lipstick sized piece of cake :/, even if it's almost a work of art. The restroom is creepy. It's down this dark hallway lit with blue lights, and even though they decorated it all stylish and whatnot (with prints of Vogue covers from the 1950s and all this other stuff), they couldn't disguise the fact that the room looks like it was used to house kidnapped girls, gagged and chained to the pipes. I swear to God, all it needed was a worn mattress and you've got a crime scene straight out of Criminal Minds. The table next to us got lunch, and the little rolls in the bread basket looked so cute! Roladin has been by go to place to buy cakes for any occasion whether it being a birthday, holiday or etc., but I was very disappointed with the cake I ordered this time. I always ordered the most popular cake which is the 7 layer cake which originally comes with strawberry on the top and costs $39. I was very disappointed with the cake I ordered this time because not only did they not include the strawberry but they charged me more money for the cake. I also asked them I wanted the cake to have LOW SUGAR, which I repeated many times over the phone , they said ok but instead added more sugar. It's sad, I bought the cake for Shabbat, but had to throw it all away because it was way way way too sweet. The customer service is awful as well. I told them about this issue and they did not care whatsoever. All I know is that I'm never coming back to this place again. read more

I was very excited to try Roladin since I saw so many great reviews on Yelp. I came away very disappointed in both the food and service. We we're seated relatively quickly, but after 10 minutes of not being asked for our drink order I had to get up and tell the person working at the bakery that we would like some water. A few minutes later our waters finally arrived and our waiter took our order. We ordered a Goat Cheese Calzone and an Albacore Tuna Wrap. After another 10 minutes they finally brought us bread, which was quite good. I wish they would have explained what each sauce contained and how spicy each one was though. The Goat Cheese Calzone took 40 minutes to come out and was cold. The waiter then told my girlfriend that he put in her order wrong and asked her if she would like the incorrect entree instead of what she ordered. I couldn't believe he would ask her that. After she asked to have what she originally ordered it took another 15 minutes for her to get her food and it was cold. My calzone was very bad. It was very soggy and doughy. It contained only goat cheese, a bit of spinach, and a lot of salt. I saw one little tomato and no mozzarella cheese. Her tuna wrap was better as it contained quite a bit of tuna, but since it was cold that ruined what could have been a good sandwich. During our entire experience each time we needed water refills, which was often due to how small their water cups were, I had to get up and ask. One time I had to get up twice to ask for water before it was brought. That's just unacceptable. Our experience was mostly ruined by our waiter with unfriendly service, asking us to take food he mistakenly ordered instead of what we asked for, bringing us cold food, and a lack of drink refills without begging. It wasn't busy at all so there was no excuse for that poor level of service. We definitely won't be back. read more

"If you all don't order something I can not bring you the bread and dip" Which is probably one if the cheapest thingsbabrestaurant can offer there clients as a way to gain repetitive business.
