Really love the food, the coffee, and the atmosphere, but unfortunately the service is really bad. Every time I have gone I have had to wait for a long time, even in the mid-afternoon slump. I recently went for a quick cup of coffee to-go (supporting local businesses and all that), and I just watched as the cashier did a bunch of other things before telling the barista about my order. The problem is there were only 4 other customers there, and all of them were dining in and hadn't ordered coffee, so there really was no reason for the delay. Additionally, the barista was really in no hurry to make the coffee, so he kind of walked around for a bit before starting it. Then when it was finally done he forgot about it on the machine, and it took 3 employees to get it into a cup and to me (though I was standing right there). By then it was 14 minutes later and the coffee was cold. I REALLY want to love this place, but the customer service is a huge problem that impairs the ability to enjoy the experience. :/ read more

The healthy breakfast is oily, the guacamole is spicy, and I believe spicy food should be written in the menu but according to the manager all places she goes the guac is spicy, apparently she just hang out in Mexico, and as always, in places like this, if u not a party of 10 Jewish family they kind of look down on you, my review is: f* this place, won't come back read more

This place is really nice and very lean and the food is affordable and scrumptious. The waitresses are very nice and there service is excellent. Parking is indie a plaza and free. thought I'd stop by to satisfy my late night crepe craving. I made it 45 minutes before closing, and ordered myself their Nutella strawberry crepe. The woman who took my order said "to go right?" When I asked to dine in, she responded with a "uhhhh, let me ask" and turned to her boss who said they close in 25 minutes. I said that is fine and won't be staying long. once I got seated, the waiter was really polite and handed menus and apologized that the cafe beverages were no longer being served at that time. When my crepe arrived, it looked really delicious, unfortunately it looked better than it tasted. It was really dry and tasted like cardboard. I was really disappointed with the service and food. I discovered this amazing place today when i had a buisness meeting and i really enjoyed the food and they turned this place kosher which is a big plus. Because its very difficult to find good kosher restaurants. They have huge selection of pastries so i took some to go. And my favorite was the creme brulé. We went to Loehmann's plaza to go to the Minute Clinic. Since we arrived at the Minute Clinic at 1:20, and it was closed for lunch until 2, we decided to find a place to get a fast bite to each. I saw Roladin next door, and assumed it was the standard meat-heavy sandwich shop, but decided to take a peek at their menu just in case there was anything worthwhile. The 1st item I saw on the menu was malawach (a yemeni dish consisting of puff pastry brushed with oil and fried; served with hard boiled egg, crushed tomato and zhug; and quite popular in Israel). Clearly, this was no standard sandwich shop! Roladin is a kosher-style dairy restaurant that is open 7 days a week but closed for Erev Shabbat (the evening of the Jewish Sabbath). Aside from Friday night, it's generally open quite late, which would make it an ideal spot for coffees and pastries. I suspect it's named after the Roladin chain of bakeries and cafes in Israel. The cuisine at Roladin is quite similar to what one would find at Aroma's, i.e., featuring Israeli and Mediterranean food, but with a gigantic parking lot, plenty of room, and very responsive serving staff. Since we're vegetarian, we didn't pay attention to the many fish options, but were nearly overwhelmed by the variety of vegetarian dishes. You can see the menu on their webpage: www.roladincafe.com. In brief, the options range from egg dishes (including shakshuka & omelettes [including some that inexplicably are called Tapas, although they don't resemble any Tapas I've seen]; to an interesting variety of sandwiches & wraps & paninis; traditional Israeli dishes (such as hummus, falafel, eggplant with tachina, burrekas; soy kubbe & soy Moroccan cigars); pastas; pizzas & calzones; salads; soups; many kinds of fish; gourmet coffees, teas, & smoothies; and pastries. We ordered jachnun (available only on the weekends), penne pomodoro from the kid's menu, and a burreka filled with mashed potatoes. When the server later informed us that they had run out of jachnun, we ordered malawach instead. While they were preparing the meal, delectible rolls and appetizers were served including tapenade, pesto, and 2 pickled salads common in Israeli restaurants. The server assured us that the tapenade had no anchovies. In hindsight, though, when we pointed to the green appetizer and asked about the ingredients, the server said it had "pesto and parsley and garlic" in it, as if pesto were a single ingredent. SInce the server was unclear on the concept of a pesto, we probably shouldn't have taken his word about the tapenade. The malawach came with tachina, zhug, and crushed tomatoes; and the burreka came with zhug, salsa, and and tachina, as well as a tasty Israeli garden salad dressed with lemon juice and olive oil. Although the burreka was listed in the menu as a lunch appetizer, it was gigantic. All the food was quite delicious; and we have plenty left over for another meal. Next time, we'll order from among the more healthy options (there are plenty of those)! The prices were typical for the area. The restaurant was clean, and the ambience, pleasant. I must have been excited to find this restaurant, because my daughter kept on saying, "Calm down!" We can't wait to return. read more

I happened upon Roladin one summer afternoon, in search of an iced coffee...and I soon went back for another! Delicious coffee!! Around dinner time, the cafe was filled with delicious scents of garlicy seasoning--so I made it a point to return for a meal the next time I was in the Valley. Their specialty seems to be fish--which was fantastic and reasonably priced--and salads. We also tried some pasta dishes, which I found to be somewhere between lackluster and bland. Their bread was delicious, of course, and unfortunately, we were too full for dessert (the display case is packed with beautiful treats). I am happy to have Roladin in the neighborhood! read more

Get Your Cancer Here I so wanted to like this cafe. I've tried it several times hoping they would improve. I have to agree with the other reviews posted that this cafe is very over priced for the selection and over-all quality. In addition, they have a problem with allowing and encouraging smoking on their patio. The atmosphere reflects a management that lacks in integrity. For example, I ordered a wrap sandwich which was supposed to come on a whole wheat tortilla. I was instead served a wrap in a flour tortilla. When I questioned the server she first tried to convince me that it didn't come on a whole wheat tortilla, but when I showed her the menu she went to go talk to the chef. She then came back and tried to tell me that it was a whole tortilla she had served!!!!! My guess is that they had ran out of whole wheat tortillas and were trying to pull a fast one. Don't bother with eating at this place. They seem to just want to cater to folks who want to buy a cup of coffee and sit and smoke on their patio. read more

We used to be regulars here and the last couple of times has been a let down We were the 1st ones there for breakfast and 4 of us ordered and egg white omelette not only did it take nearly and hr to get it it was stone cold when It came out and everyone after us had their food! Went there last Sunday about 10:00 am. Service was very slow. Only had two servers. took a very long time for the food to come out and it came out cold. Did not see our server again, so finally got the owner to come over. Told her the hash browns were cold and her response was ok. Asked for a refill of decalf coffee. Saw the person in back take a regular coffee pot and pour some of the coffee into a decalf pot to serve it. No way to run a business. My wife cannot drink regular coffee. It was my first time and will be my last time ever coming to this store. I was craving a sweet pastry and my friend mentioned seeing this place so we came to give it a try. I go in and see their pastries on display which looked very delicious, I tell the lady Behind the counter that I would like a creme brule, instead of just packaging it she takes the initiative to reach over the counter to tell me "it cost 6.50" as though that will deter me from buying it or she assumed I can't afford a $6 pastry. Whatever the reason I smiled and stated "that's fine". After packaging it and purchasing it, the people behind the counter spoke to each other under their breath and stared at me and my friend as we left the place. We had parking right at the entrance, as we got in my car a waiter came out to pour salt in the entrance ? Coinsidence ? I don't know... That lady who helped us made me feel uncomfortable, I felt unwelcome. They need to work on their customer service skills and be less Judgmental. read more

The best creme brulee of my life. Roladin is my favorite spot. Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere and a great vibe. I recommend the gnocchi, pizza and desserts. I love that they are open after sundown on Saturday night because it is hard to find a kosher restaurant open after Shabbat on Saturday night. I love to chill there, order a delicious coffee drink and dessert and relax on their comfy couches. I hope they always stay open Saturday night so I can get a bite to eat and dessert. Roladin Bakery & Cafe why do you have to be so far? This bakery place is one of the place I make sure to visit when I'm in the valley and Loehmanns. (: Their pastries are amazing! Especially the fruit tarts it's so good and so are the biscotti. Although it's a little over price but heck I buy a whole bunch of them and bring them home because it's such a far drive. The fruit tarts is delicious with their fresh fruits and how beautiful the fruit tarts are. The biscotti...I can eat them every hour and not get tired of them. So delicious. AMAZING desserts!! Seriously, their little desserts are just perfect in size and taste and everything. The only reason why it's getting 4 stars and not 5 is due to their food. What they have is superb. Fantastic. Tasty. Incredible. HOWEVER -- there is a lack of meat available. They do have some fish, but most of their dishes are vegetarian-ish. I'm fine with that, I don't demand dead animal on my plate. But if you do eat meat, as I prefer to, it would be nice to have more of a selection and inclusion. Get the Lemonana. Ordered a milk shake, the blandest thing I've ever tasted in my life, asked them to add some sweetener or something, when i got it back it tasted like they wanted payback for returning the drink so they dumped a ton of sweetener into it. Got the artichoke dip, looked like it was drowned in oil and tasted like nothing I've ever tasted, not in a good way. Service tried to be nice, but overlooked stuff like one of our set of utensils were laying on the table without a napkin, and a fly was buzzing around our food to top it off. This place used to be good, but maybe because of economics I've noticed a few things from the last few visits - 1. Service has gone down (not enough staff?), 2. Food has gone down (maybe cheaper ingredients, definitely smaller poritions), and maybe, as a result, 3. The owner has become very arrogant and obnoxious. In the past we've enjoyed the bourekas, the salads, the tune tartare, desserts and more, but after our recent visit we're scratching Roladin off of our list of go-to places. The arrogance of the owner, in particular, rubbed us the wrong way. We've gone through a lot at Roladin - including sitting in an empty restaurant for 90 minutes because the power went out, hoping it would go back on, AND paying for the coffee we had when we couldn't order food - but recently we had ONE complaint about a dessert that wasn't what it used to be. Instead of offering a replacement or break on the dessert price, the owner ran and hid and we ended up paying for a dessert that was half of what it had been the several times we ordered before. The poor waiter, who was great, was even embarrassed by the actions of the owner. In any case, a once-great restaurant down the toilet in a sea of other great restaurants that will get our future business. read more
