Decided to order a pie while inwas waiting for my wife to get some collagen threads next door. I went and got a quick haircut while they made my order and it was ready for me as soon as i was done. They had just had a local paper do a write up on them and stated that it was the best pizza in the world. Big claim to make, but as a lover of pizza, i have to say that it wasn't too far off. Its hard to ever really give the title of "best" especially when there is many styles and each have their own appeal, but this was definitely a pie that could sit at the table as "worlds best" and not be out of place. I got the Neapolitan pizza with mushrooms, black olives and cherry tomatoes and added jalapeño on half. I wanted pepperoni but no meat here. Didn't matter though, the pizza was fire!!! They gave me a thousand island type dipping sauce and ranch which they suggested to mix together. It was good, but i actually preferred both sauces individually. The thousand gave a sweet flavor and ranch was creamy goodness!! They also make an iced coffee frap of sorts so i got one of those also. It was exactly what I needed and not too sweet at all. You order at the counter and they had pizzeria style seating inside if you wanted to dine in, but i ordered and drove off right away. Located in a small plaza on Ventura Blvd. It's in the corner right next to Cho Cho San. It's a pretty small place that has table and bar top seating. It looks like you can order through the ordering station, or if they are not busy, someone can take your order. The menu isn't too extensive, so it should be a pretty easy decision. Drinks are in a fridge, so no refills here. All of their pizzas are personal size. I ordered the Margherita and it took about 7 or so minutes. Came out piping hot and looked really good. If you dine in, there are condiments on the tables. There was this sweet thousand island sauce that I enjoyed. They have a garlic cream sauce that was pretty good also. The dough has a nice chew and the undercarriage is nice and charred. They use a mozzarella cheese blend that's imported from NY. My Margherita was pretty good, but it did not come with any basil on it. I guess they are making it the traditional way. In Italy, Margherita is a cheese pizza. It's not the kind that we are accustomed here in the states. I would have liked there to be a little bit more sauce though. But overall, I would definitely come back here when in the area. I actually had leftovers for lunch the next day and though it I heat it up in a microwave, it was still tasty and a good chew. Come by and support this small business. read more

Stopped by randomly and was pleasantly impressed. Service was good and food was delicious. Space is a bit small but comfortable. Came with my mom and we got the corn ribs(4/5) and sambusak pesto(4.5/5). Definitely coming back to try other things from here when I'm in the area. read more

This used to be my favorite pizza place. Until yesterday, when I ordered a pizza to go, but I told them, only half of the pie to include toppings. When I got my pizza I had patches of cheese. I knew that it wasn't fresh and it was doctored with square pieces of cheese to add the toppings. When I inquired about it's freshness, she, the owner, said yeah, we just made it fresh for you. Tanoni is an absolute gem! The food is amazingly good--every bite feels like it was made just for you. I went with my family, and not only did we love every dish, but we also got to see the incredible hospitality in action. There was another family sitting right next to us whose kids were making quite a mess. The owner was so patient and kind--not upset at all. Absolutely blown away by the flavors and ambiance at Taboni Restaurant! The stone fire brick oven adds a really good char to the pizza undercarriage. One bite everyone knows the rules. and the dishes that come out of it are truly exceptional. Every bite is a very flavorful. I'm so happy there is a new kosher restaurant that is affordable in the area. Highly recommend for a quick bite out or just a wonderful meal with loved ones. the kids loved the pizza and that is a hard feat. to accomplish. The kalamata submusak could use a little more olives.
