I rarely write yelp reviews but I think this is well deserved. My mother in law ordered from Roladin for my nephews brit milah. I think I secretly get so excited when Roladin is catered in because the food feeds my soul! I've had it a handful of time but never been to the actual restaurant. Five star customer service and five star food. The Sabich and Fricasse are some of the tastiest sandwiches I've had on my entire life. The burekas, oh my goodness, SO GOOD!! Everyone raved about the shakshuka. The lox and cream cheese were gone within five minutes on the counter. The salads were beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The bread, I've never smelled bread so good. Hands down, my favorite food I think I've ever had. Thank you for making the Brit milah amazing with this astoundingly tasty meal!! Here's the deal. I ordered an omelette, salad, coffee, and then a small pastry. Everything was fine but the cream on the pastry tasted sour and spoiled to me. I admit it is subjective. Really good pasta with salmon. Salmon was seasoned and tender and the pasta delicious! I ordered for pickup the create your own pasta, I got the fettucini alfredo with mushrooms and salmon. This place has a lot going for it in terms of cute decor and cafe vibe on the outside. But step one foot in and you learn the staff is stuffy, unhelpful, and rude (or maybe can't speak English well? I'm not sure...giving the benefit of the doubt here). I went here for the first time tonight and walked up to the pastry counter, thinking it was like other cafes where you order, pay, and then sit down. Nope. I quickly realized there was no cute chalkboard menu hanging on the wall. I really just wanted a fruit tart and asked the price. I was told it was $6.50. I said okay. When she started boxing it up, I promptly told her I wanted it for here. It wasn't until then that the other lady chimed in and said that we can have a seat and she'd bring us a menu. (Why did I need a menu? I don't know). The fruit tart was plated very nicely and was pretty tasty too. When I got my bill, the total was $9.31! They had the nerve to charge me $2 extra for the pastry and then tax for sitting there (which is all I expected to pay extra). It was not a pleasant experience to say the least.
