They take good care of you but the appointments are so hard to get and they work only 4 days a week. Usually, they'd schedule the next two appointments in advance and for any reason if you have to reschedule, it is impossible to get in. They are minimally staffed and their hygienists run the show. The doctor is mostly not there or if he is, he doesn't come in to check on you, They have managed so far because of established patients who are maybe reluctant to change and that's why I stayed with them so long.

I went home and thought about how he replaced all my childhood filings a few years ago bc they had mercury. I called leaving a voicemail inquiring. They left a voicemail not answering that question. Question was never answered... Anyway, I had been eating more fruit so I went back asking about the sensitivity I'd been experiencing wondering about that filling he purposed I needed. Not only did he say that filling needing replacing but that I needed another filling AND a crown! He kept banging on my molar w a metal instrument which I thought was kind of rough as if he were trying to break the tooth. I responded w " No, I don't need a crown".. we went into a polite debate. I had more fruit after he sent me home saying he couldn't do it that day and the tooth seemed to bother by that Monday. Tancio wasn't available to address the tooth for another 3 weeks or so. I reached out to Dr. Randall Hashimoto's office who had a last min cancellation and were able to get me in the Tuesday. Thank God bc their wait-list goes into March of next year. So I go in and Dr. Hashimoto takes an x-ray to confirm no fillings or crown are needed. It was just tooth sensitivity I was experiencing from certain fruits. He recommended water after fruit and to consider sensodyn toothpaste.... His dental assistant w 30 years under her belt confirmed the same. The tooth sensitivity subsided with his recommendation. I won't be going back to Tancio. Thanks guys for being a practice of integrity! ‍

I am a 71 year old woman who has had many missing teeth since my 20's. I struggled with bridges that did not look good and were marginally functional for decades. Last December, Dr. Jain provided a very comprehensive assessment of my condition with state-of-the-art imaging - and then suppled expert recommendations and alternatives for my case. I decided that the 8 over 8 implants and full upper and lower bridges was the right solution - to recover my smile, solve the problem of missing teeth, and help maintain the bone structure of my jaw which was wasting away. Two days over a weekend were needed to install the 16 implants. Although it is a significant surgery, Doctors Jain and Gupta expertly performed the work - not pausing for the weekend or holidays. They are passionate professionals whose concern for my wellbeing and technical skill is amazing. And the rest of the office staff was very supportive and caring while helping me through the process. Since the Center has the equipment and expertise to mill the bridges, I didn't have to get temporary bridges. The final product was installed the next day. Six months later, I am still extremely pleased with the functionality of the bridges and the look of my smile. I finally have a complete solution to last me a lifetime.

The reason why I've chosen Dr. Donesa as my primary dentist is that I've seen great reviews, and my insurance was accepted at their practice. When making an initial appointment, keep in mind that it may take longer than a usual appointment because they'll need to take x-rays and go over your dental history. When walking in, I'm always greeted by Girlie or another staff member. They still follow covid protocols such as taking my oxygen levels and temperatures and signing a paper. Also, the waiting area is nicely set up with seating available if you need to wait a couple of minutes. When it is time to go to the back and see Dr. Donesa, Girlie will guide you back and have you step on a sanitizing mat to clean the bottom of your shoes (which I really appreciate because it adds to the cleanliness of the practice). When Dr. Donesa checks my teeth, he is always careful and informs me if there are any areas that I'll need to work on and pay more attention to. Granted, he's the first dentist that actually told me how to effectively brush my teeth to prevent cavities. And when the appointment is done, Girlie always hands me a toothbrush and toothpaste :)

I needed a filling once, and Dr. Au was careful to explain the different types as well as the pros and cons of each with price points. He's never tried to upsell any procedure or services. The receptionist, Mary, is very considerate and helpful. She's very pleasant to work with and patient. The office is kept immaculately clean and is very diligent to follow all Covid protocols. There's also a big parking lot, so there never a lack of spaces. Even though I live in Oakland, I'm willing to drive down to Newark for dental work because I know Dr. Au and his staff will take care of what I need in thorough professionalism with reasonable prices.

I was sent an estimate on extractions and cleanings etc maybe a couple days after my visit. I informed the front desk staff on June 11 that we received an additional insurance to help pay for the total because of new employment benefits. I called June 11 and waited for the quote. I decided a month later not to wait any longer. I came to the office to pay a check up bill that came into the mail and asked for the quote again July 15. The front desk staff said they would send it. It is now July 23rd a whole week later and I called the office. They said when they finish it, they will send it. My question is: does it take a month to make an estimate? How many times do we have to follow up to get an updated estimate? My wife's tooth is hurting now and I regret not calling them more often to remind them because now I'm thinking it will be emergency dental work.. I just hope front desk can hold up to the same standards as Dr. Chung.
