After I left a review, the manager, Amanda Stewart, reached out personally, inviting me to call and share the details. Amanda, though new to the company, has years of industry experience and truly understands the value of great service. She apologized repeatedly and invited us back. We returned this past Thursday, and it was a complete turnaround. Amanda made sure we felt valued, and Damien, our server, was phenomenal. The food was spot-on, and the entire experience left us with a much brighter outlook. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you, Amanda, and thank you, Damien, for making it right.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

But perhaps maybe a little too laid-back for a quick work lunch. LOL. It took our waitress a while to check in on the 3 of us. My daughter had arrived first and when we got there, there was already three waters on the table, but I wanted to order a drink and we had to hustle since my daughter was on her lunch break. By the time the waitress showed back up from her initial visit with my daughter, we were all ready to order our food. Luckily it didn't take too long for the food to come. My daughter and I shared the chipotle pork tenderloin. We were torn between the tenderloin, fried chicken thighs, and blackened redfish étouffée. Unfortunately, they were out of the étouffée, so the waitress suggested that between the chicken thighs and the tenderloin, that the tenderloin would be the best choice. And it was AMAZING! I'm not much of a pork tenderloin person, but it was fantastic. Very tender. Very flavorful. My son had the toasted Cuban sandwich and he said it was very good. I also got a cocktail called the Blackberry battery and it was amazing. I almost got the old-fashioned, but decided on the blackberry battery because of the description mentioned it had muddled blackberries. Their dessert choices looked amazing particularly the Keylime dessert. Unfortunately, my daughter had to head back to work, so she wasn't able to stick around for dessert. As it turned out, that was probably for the best! I told the waitress I wanted to order the Keylime dessert and she said they didn't have it so I wasn't gonna get anything but my son insisted that we get the ice cream puff dessert. And although they ended up being fairly decent, it was the 20 minutes to get the dessert that was a problem. The waitress said twice that our dessert would be out soon but it took 20 minutes for it to finally come out. Luckily my son and I didn't have any additional plans and so we weren't in a rush, but this could be a major issue for someone who was trying to get back to work. I definitely would consider going back because the food/drinks were wonderful!

It is also disability easy to maneuver if you are in a wheelchair. The interior is small on the inside and nicely decorated with a large ode to chicken. This is not a problem for those who need to bring in a wheelchair, rollater, walker, or stroller as they are impeccablely supportive, as well as very accommodating. On busy days that we have decided to dine in at this establishment, it has never been a problem to manipulate my varied tools throughout the restaurant. Parking sometimes can be a little tight but don't let that worry you because people are always coming and going. For details regarding our most recent meal, please see the following: Appetizer: We order the Deviled Eggs. The eggs were seasoned appropriately and not too salty. Moreover, the eggs were not over cooked and the yolks we nicely whipped. Entry: I order the chicken and waffles while my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry whist the waffle was fluffy with little crispy edges. It was a textural wonderland. I personally do not like syrup or other toppings on my waffles (weird I know) however my husband does and he said the syrup was good. Consequently, when I eat waffles, texture and flavor really matter to me. It was slightly sweet and paired nicely with the seasoned chicken. Additionally, the chicken fried steak melted on our tongues like butter. The meat was not over cooked, tender and the steak cut smoothly on our knives. The umami flavor of the steak and the robust yet well rounded seasoning of the breading paired nicely with the buttery mashed potatoes and the white gravy that accompanied the meal. We have enjoyed eating at this restaurant many times. I have never had overcooked or undercooked chicken. Each time, I am greeted with a kind smile and service is quick especially on busy times. Needless to say that I recommend this restaurant. Yet since this is a review, I will say it. I recommend this restaurant. Happy Eating. Warning: I am not responsible for the overwhelming joy you may or may not experience when eating here.

The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.
