Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. We came in right around opening, and the place was already dirty -- the floor needed attention and there was only one other person dining in the entire restaurant. Our table was dirty too, and I was glad I had my own wipes with me, because no one came to clean it. The server with the green highlights in their hair was rude, which set the tone for the whole meal. We ordered the chicken taquitos and beef tacos. The taquitos were just okay. Honestly, the only good thing about our entire order was the rice. And on top of that, the food is pricey for what you get -- definitely not worth it. I split 3 taquitos with my friend for $9.75. We got one of each filling they offer: chicken, beef, and potato. You can get them loaded with cheese, sour cream, and guacamole sauce. This place is pretty good however it is a bit pricey. I bought two taquitos to try and I liked it. The sauce made it taste really good. They also have a lot of meat in the actual taquito so it is pretty filling. I didn't really expect two taquitos to make me full but it did because of how heavy it was. Two taquitos were around $7 which is pretty expensive in my opinion but I did enjoy the food. For a limited time they have soft tacos which I may try in the future since I love soft tacos. Over all it was pretty good and I would go back but not too often due to how expensive they are. Staff was also nice and I appreciated the seating they had to offer inside the restaurant. I have been craving taquitos lately. When I saw roll em up was going to open in Porter Ranch I felt that I NEEDED to check it out. Some time has passed, my sis and nieces checked it out and told me that it was just ok. After taking my pet to the vet I had another chance to check it out. I am the type of person that wants to check out one of each item and if I like it I am def coming back. While ordering for the very first time I felt a lil embarrassed because I was about to order everything on the menu just for myself. lol With some restraints I did manage to hand pick several items. They were a couple of taquitos, tacos, asada fries, and esquite. I was a bit thrown off when I was asked if I would like my taquitos with corn or flour tortilla. Doesn't that make one a flauta? Ordered to go and the woman who helped me was super nice. I love the concept and was excited to try. Here's what my family got- Tacos Dorado-ground beef -just ok. Tacos Dorado - potato that was better, but we didn't like their sauce. We tried both flour and corn taquitos with chicken and potato. I liked the corn better they stayed crispy and the chicken was not dry and the potato was good. I was not a fan of the flour tortilla taquitos. We had the rice which was very good and the beans were ok. I am not a fan of beans so you may like them. We had the Elote Fries which was my favorite of everything we ordered. We did try the Churro Donuts I would not recommend them. They were too cakey and almost tasted stale. Nothing beats a traditional churro. I waited for 15 min for the food which was not bad considering there was only one person cooking. What was bad is that sweat was dripping down my face and I turned to see the thermostat was showing the restaurant and I am not kidding at 87 degrees it was set to keep the place at 70 degrees but obviously was not working. I'm so happy roll em up taquitos is right near my house. I have been wanting to try here since they opened several months ago this year and I am very satisfied with the food and the Customer Service. They have really good food and taquitos is bomb.com literally for a fast food place they are really really good crispy moist and so flavorful OMG. I tried the chicken taquitos and the protein bowl and everything was just so delicious. they have so many options which gives me the reason to come back and try more which I will. I want to try more taquitos and I want to try their nachos And roll em up burritos. It's really a good variety and the prices are not too bad and it's super clean inside with about 5 or 6 tables. Went back today and had a much better experience! They have really stepped it up. They have burritos now which were soooo good! I hope they keep them on the menu bc for people who don't love fried things this is a great option. It was filling and delicious. Only thing I would maybe add is some lettuce and sour cream as it was basically just meat beans and rice. It was good but needed a little something more. While Karla did say she could add that, I think it would have a better feedback from customers if it came with more elements to it (and they can remove it if preferred). The soft taco was also a really good option that my kids loved. We also had a fried taco which was great. The beans and rice were cooked well but the beans on their own were a little too salty. The woman running the place, Karla, was super sweet and attentive! She brought us out different sauces that she thought would pair well with each burrito. Super tasty. She also was just really friendly to talk to. She also wanted our feedback which showed she cares for her customers. There are quite a few tables located inside as well as a few outdoors. The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly! The cashier made sure to tell us the options they had available, too! We ordered the 4 Pack of taquitos (2 potato and 2 chicken) meal with rice and a side of the jalapeno ranch sauce, as well as a churro donut. First of all, the taquitos were SO FRESH! they were hot and very crunchy! The flavors were amazing, and the toppings definitely added to the overall bite! We dipped the taquitos in the jalapeno ranch and the sauce was so delicious as well (we even ate it with the rice!) The rice was actually very flavorful! We were surprised that it was actually better than some rice we had at fancy Mexican restaurants. The Churro Donut was topped with caramel and tossed in cinnamon sugar. It was warm and delicious, it literally melted in your mouth! Before we went, we downloaded the app to look at the menu and signed up for the rewards! We were surprised to find a reward for a free churro donut in our account so we used it on this visit! Been waiting for this place to open because my bf and I love taquitos and it seemed like a fantastic idea/addition to this Porter Ranch plaza! My fellow Yelp Elite friend, Vijay, posted that it was finally open so we immediately went right after! Parking can be tough around here since there's a Ralph's and tons of other shops around. Huge lot though if you don't mind walking a bit, you'll eventually find parking! We headed in and lots of people were there. We went on Sunday around noon-ish (that's another thing, this lot and the Rinaldi street get super crowded because of the people leaving church around this time). We were greeted by a young worker (I believe Alexander S was his name unless my receipt was wrong) who basically had a whole speech memorized for every single customer and felt like a broken record (probably what they are trained to do) but honestly felt too much. Sometimes a more natural welcome/greeting is best imo! They have a few tables inside and out but we took ours home to enjoy. We waited a bit since there was a line but it gave us time to check out the menu. My bf and I both ordered 3 taquitos, mixed, one of each flavor: chicken, potato, beef and went for the mild topping. He got his as a combo with rice, beans, and a drink. Super delicious but I would stay away from the potato. I personally thought I'd like that one the most but it's super heavy and so single toned. I think the chicken might've been my favorite honestly! I got it with their house made guac and guac sauce for dipping. The guac sauce popped open and kind of went everywhere when I took off the lid, almost as if it's been fermenting which was a little scary. Although it was tasty, I thought it was way too acidic. The house salsa was probably the best option! We also ordered the corn cup, everything on it, which includes the hot Cheeto topping and tajin. It was good but lacked flavor even with all those toppings. Could've used some more creaminess? Maybe like mayo or something. The drink of choice was a mix between their lemonade and dragon fruit, sadly disappointing and might stick to soda next time. It was extremely watered down and had no flavor. You can tell just by looking at it but we tried it anyway, should've stuck with our gut. The churro donut was honestly probably the star of the show. Roll Em Up Taquitos is a chain that just opened up a new location in Porter Ranch taking over the old Pick up stix location. I arrived on the 2nd day of opening. The menu has taquitos (options of 2 to 4), taco burger, tacos, fries, nachos, protein bowl, taco salad, street cork and then churro donut. They also have options for sauces - like guac and fry sauce. For the donut you have an option of toppings like powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar or caramel drizzle. They also have drinks like a slushee or organic refresher (including horchata). The service was nice and they had a lot of employees - figure since they just opened. A little on the slow side but you expect that whenever a place is new. Restaurant is clean on the inside with a lot of color that makes it look fun and inviting. Not much seating but there are some seats outside. Now for the food review Taquitos. They were crunchy and bulky. Beans had some kick to them. Rice was good too. The portion size was lacking though. I'd hope for a little more for the $16 combo price Drink selection: excellent. Pepsi products. Glad to see Dr Pepper. Also had stubborn soda root beer and some iced tea options. Carne asada fries: fries were crispy and seasoned well. Also stayed crispy and didn't get soggy. Simple but not in a bad way. Churro donut: this was the winner. $2.88 for one. Also options for half dozen and full dozen that make them cheaper per. Delicious. These are made to order yet were burnt on the edges and ironically flat and mushy, like an enchilada... which other yelper(s) have mentioned. This is what they are famous for? So sad, and it tastes good but texture was horrific; 7-Elevens, rolling on the steel heat grates, are even crispier than this; texture was really awful. They have to be trained how to properly fry a taquito, maybe its just this location but won't be back. I would knock it down to 2 stars but the taco burger, which when served looks like it shat and exploded in the wrapper, tasted like a Mexican sloppy joe, it was messy good to salvage meal. I ordered their chicken taquitos 4-pack, where you can choose between corn or flour tortillas and a mild or spicy sauce. This time, I upgraded to a combo, which comes with a drink, beans, and rice. I couldn't resist trying their elote corn--available on a stick or in a cup. You can even add Hot Cheetos for an extra bit of crunch and spice, which is a fun touch! They also have their own app, so be sure to download it and start earning points for free items with every visit. I cam here around 1145am on a Thursday. I was assisted by Alfredo he was super sweet and just helpful on telling me about the menu and Sauces. I opted for the taquitos and chicken taco salad. It took a really long time for it to be ready ended up waiting about 15mins wasn't expecting it to be this long. Anyhow by the time I got my food and got home the taquitos were super soggy I was expecting a crunch but when I bit into it there was no crunch it was just soggy. Idk if it was just the sauce and cheese but I wasn't impressed. I was super excited for this place to open up but bummed I didn't get the best experience. These are definitely not your mother's taquitos! Nor are they like any taquito that you can buy ready made at Costco, or any other supermarket. They're fresh tasting loaded with delicious fillings and topped with nice sauces. Very enjoyable! Staff was friendly and attentive. About the only suggestion I would have is that they follow through on the concept to a greater degree. Employees are very friendly here and genuinely have good attitudes. Pricing in my opinion is fair. I ordered the three flour taquitos. Two beef and one chicken. Nothing memorable. The rice and beans portions were small. I expected them to be a bit more generous. Their fountain drinks machine had zero carbonation. At minimum they shouldn't have sold fountain drinks with this issue. I tried their lemonade and it wasn't that good. Unfortunately, I won't be back and I cannot recommend this place for anyone else. I ordered asada fries, chicken taco salad, and 2 taquitos. That's it. I ordered my food and the person who ordered 2 people after me got theirs after 20 mins. I asked about it and I was told it was because I ordered asada fries. But the person after me ordered the fries and got them. It made no sense. After 30 minutes, I drove home and opened my bag and was extremely disappointed in the food. Pictures speak for themselves and they have no business calling this a salad. Nothing had sauce or flavor except the beans which tasted old. The fries were good though. And the guac. Everything else was unfortunately IMHO trash. Also- customer service tip- if you notice that yall messed up and gave someone my food or taking a long time- throw in a sauce or churro bite as a free kind gesture. I love the traditional corn taquitos, he loves the flower flauts so best of both worlds. the new tacos are bomb. don't forget the churro donut for desert. oh and only place we've found pineapple soda! soo good! staff is friendly and checked on us often. other locations have been crazy busy, nice to get a chance to sit and enjoy.
