Loved the happy hour here, where you can get good food and drinks for a good price!…read more I came by to check out their happy hour Friday afternoon around 4 pm and it wasn't too crowded. Happy hour is offered daily 3-6 pm and 9 pm to close and includes both food and drink specials. They also offer all day specials on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. I had the LP margarita for $9 off the happy hour menu. It was a pretty good margarita! We started with their complimentary salsa. I was very happy to find that it wasn't spicy but still very flavorful. I'm a picky eater and usually don't like restaurant salsas, but this was right up my alley. We then shared an order of their guacamole ($8.25 hh), cachetada ($6.25 hh), and a couple of tacos ($4.25 each). The guac was amazing as well, made with ripe avocados and just the right amount of salt and flavor. It comes with a giant plate of chips which were still warm from the fryer. I just wish there was more of it! For the tacos, I tried the ribeye, the gochujang carnitas (monthly special), and the regular carnitas. The regular carnitas was by far my favorite. The gochujang was okay but I personally found it too sweet, and the ribeye was a bit bland. I didn't try the cachetada as it was way too cheesy for my personal tastes, but I would recommend getting this if you like cheesy foods. My friend said it was like eating cheese straight up.

Glad I finally got to check this place out!…read more It's in the beautiful Vineyards shopping center in Porter Ranch, close to the AMC and Tifa Gelato shop (my gps had me park farther than needed). Extensive tequila and mezcal menu, Really attractive, sleek interior. Met my friend for a Tuesday lunch and discovered that all day Tuesday is Happy Hour! And, even better is that a la carte tacos on Tuesday are $3 instead of the normal HH price of $4.50! Aidan was our server-in-training and, while he was mistaken that I could sub mezcal for tequila for the HH, he was lovely. He was attentive when needed and also let us girls catch up! What we ordered and thought: -Chips and salsa brought to the table. Sadly both were mediocre; thankfully, this meant that I did not eat too many chips! -LP Margarita ($9 on HH); balanced and refreshing -Pacifico ($6 on HH) what I would expect -Madre Espadin Mezcal ($12) also what I would expect, though I wish the service were more authentic to CDMX, which is the vibe of the restaurant -Guacamole ($8.25 on HH) Fresh and tasty; again mediocre chips -Rib Eye Taco ($3 for Tuesday HH); had I known it was only 3 bucks, I would have ordered two. The meat was very flavorful and cooked beautifully, not overdone! -Corn off the Cobb Salad ($13.75) add Steak ($8.25) My friend LOVED her salad and also raved about the flavor, quality, and doneness of the steak. Great spot for lunch, as we didn't need a reservation, though from what people say, it gets very busy at night and on the weekends. They have a Sunday Funday that looks good, too!

I was craving some seafood so I did a quick Yelp search and found this hidden gem in granada hills…read more I made it in on a Tuesday evening and upon arrival, it was busy. I picked where to sit so I chose to sit inside; they have a small section upfront for outdoor seating. Service was pleasant for me, but only two of them on the floor however, they worked together to get orders out as quick as they could. Props to both of them! Just in time for their Tuesday happy hour, I decided to get two Baja fish tacos and for the appetizer the tuna bites. I also ordered a Pacifico michelada. My food came out rather quickly and I started to indulge in the tuna bites first. Fresh tuna sitting on three individual won ton like tostadas. Drizzled with their sauces, fresh avocado slice and cilantro. The fish tacos included: fresh diced tomatoes, cilantro, crema and cheese. The fish tacos were smaller since they are part of their happy hour but they were still delicious. Pacifico Michelada mix 5/5! Served on a cold mug and that made my day! I will be back soon to check out the rest of their menu. Parking lot is on the smaller side but street parking is also available.

First time here and the food was amazing! Everything we got was so fresh and full of flavor…read more We got the potato tacos, steak tacos and shrimp cocktail and it was delicious down to the very last bite! We had to end dinner with the Oreo cheesecake. Highly recommend, the staff was friendly and we loved the ambience. Thank you April for making our first time experience great.

They have the best Caldo de Res!! Burritos are great too!…read more So nice and friendly here!

Ordered a shrimp burrito from this place thinking it would be like any other shrimp burrito I've…read morehad at any other classic Mexican spot (fajita style), but it turned out to be some breaded, deep-fried baja-style shrimp burrito with lettuce, diced tomatoes and some pink-orange sauce. AKA, unlike any asada or lengua burritos I've had from this place. When I told the teller that that was NOT what I had asked for, and that nowhere on the menu does it indicate that it'll be different from their other burritos, she said there was nothing she could do. No refund, no exchanging of the food item. This was upsetting because there was no way for me to know what the burrito would look like; the menu does not say breaded shrimp burrito, it says shrimp burrito. All of this was explained to the teller to no avail. Yeah, sure, I made an assumption that lead to an expectation, and I should've clarified from the get-go, but I don't think I was being unreasonable in wanting a replacement or a refund. I feel that Tacos Michoacan was being unreasonable in not complying with that request because after all, the only breaded shrimp dish pictured on the menu clearly stated that it contained breaded shrimp, while the listed "shrimp burrito" did not. (Am I being crazy here? Please feel free to tell me without holding anything back.) The thing that bothered me most of all was that there was never any empathy in how my situation was handled. If they would've said that house rules dictate that my situation can't be accommodated with some genuine sympathy for my dissatisfaction, then maybe I could've taken everything a bit more in stride. If they would've demonstrated some understanding and acknowledged that my confusion was logically valid, then maybe I wouldn't have felt dumb, frustrated and upset. But that's not what happened. This whole experience ruined my mood in a way I could only shake by writing this review. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Tacos Michoacan unless it's because they want to right their wrong and either give me my money back or give me another burrito.
