I have wanted to try the taquitos for a while and it was worth the wait. Susu was more than happy to help a newbie such as myself navigate the menu and made several suggestions for me. I had chicken and beef taquitos in flour and corn and all four were delicious. The rice and beans had just the right amount of heat. Added plus, this is a dog friendly restaurant with a good sized patio for fur babies. Susu also offered a free pup cup for my baby. Service is excellent and the restaurant is family owned and run. Susu has ideas for adding more ambiance and events to bring the community together. We will definitely be returning. read more

My fiancé and I saw Roll 'Em Up Taquitos popup on IG so we knew we had to try this place for ourselves! Happy to report that this place is just as delicious as it looks. Shoutout to Brian S. who helped us order and gave us the backstory to the restaurant! We each got 4 taquito combo and they let you mix and match your taquitos. The options are chicken, beef, and potato. We ended up getting some chicken, beef, and potato. Our favorites were the chicken and potato, but you can't go with any of the choices. You can order their spicy sauce on the side in case you don't want your order smothered in it. You can order your taquitos OG style as well which is lettuce, cheese, and their own sauce. In addition, we ordered the carne asada which were also bomb. Anytime we're craving some rolled taquitos we're definitely coming back here! Already looking forward to our next visit. read more

I was excited to try Roll Em Up Taquitos because taquitos and flautas are one of my favorite food to eat. I had high expectations especially due to the good reviews of this restaurant, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food as much. It did not taste authentic to me. I ordered a 5 pack combo flautas to share with my boyfriend. I got 4 beef and 1 chicken. The combo comes with a small serving of rice, beans and a fountain soda. I also ordered an esquite. The flautas were not terrible, but I have had way better ones. I also did not like that the toppings weren't evenly distributed, leaving me with 1 flauta without any toppings. I got the food to go and I was thinking they would serve the rice and beans in a sealed container, but instead it was served in the same container as the flautas and half of the beans tipped over on top of the rice. The rice and beans were actually pretty good. The esquites tasted horrible. It tasted so plain and I think they either forgot to put mayo or only put very little of it. They have Pepsi products for the soda, but also had Stubborn root beer, cream soda and some agua fresca. Prices were expensive especially given the small serving size of the beans, rice and esquites. Customer service was good. Staff were friendly and nice. Unfortunately, I can't see myself returning here due to having other better options for taquitos and flautas. read more

On a Sunday morning in early May, my sister and I was nearby and decided to try this new place. We were only customers at 10:41am. The staff person nicely greeted us and explain the menu to us. We ordered churro donut, 2 taco combo with rice, taquitos. Inside interior is nice and clean with music playing in the background. While waiting, the nice staff have me a sample of beans which taste good and explain they cook it long time. The fried tacos shell was not greasy and taste light not heavy. The churros donut taste like a donut with brown sugar and cinnamon. The fries are fried nicely with a coating which was good too. I also liked their Jamaica drink and pineapple drink. I've seen the place and finally made it in. The basic menu is taquitos, tacos, and taco burger. I ordered the taco burger which reminded me of Naugles (not around anymore) so nice to see a place have one. You have an option of 1 or 2 burgers as the combo. I went with one which came with fries and drink. I added the churr donut too. The burger is messy but pretty good. The use a sweet bun which is nice with the seasoned meat along with cheese and lettuce. The fries are nice and crispy. They give you some fry sauce an jalapeño ranch. The fry sauce is sort of a mayo and ketchup mix. The service was pretty fast so didn't have to wait too long. The restaurant is very bright and has a good amount of seating inside and outside. This review is about a month over due. My only regret of this place is not getting any pictures. We were buying a car across the street and needed a place to grab lunch and man this place didn't disappoint in the experience nor the food. We had the Tacos, the Taquitos and the Flautas... this place didn't miss on anything. I won't like the Taquitos are better than the Flautas, due to crispness, but both were amazing. The sauces were to die for. Honestly the food was amazing. The vibe in there was relaxed and as mentioned by others, the service on a whole different level. I understand that this is a family owned restaurant and people tend to grade nicer because of that, but the food was not good. It was on par with microwaved/reheated food. They even brought a special pup cup for my little terrier and they have board games and make it clear that they love love love their customers. I've been following them on social media for over a year and was very excited there was finally a location in the valley. When we arrived, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee (a manager, I think?) who was training a new employee. Very friendly. Immediately asked us if it was us that smelled good, which was a little odd, because he was very insisted it was us wearing essential oils or something from Victoria's Secret. Nice compliment, but more intense an interaction than I was expecting/prepared for, especially considering neither myself or my husband were wearing any perfumes. Anyway, after similarly enthusiastic back and forth with taking our order, we ended up trying both the mild and spicy chicken and beef corn taquitos, carne asada fries, crunchy taco, rice, beans, and a churro donut. Taquitos were good but be warned that they put 2 or 3 sauces directly on the taquitos, along with shredded cheese. I personally prefer to dip, so next time, I'll ask for sauces on the side. Both the beef and chicken were well seasoned and the taquitos were crunchy, but overall, nothing special. Taco was the same. I wish they had shredded instead of ground beef, but that's just personal preference. Nothing wrong with ground beef. Rice was flavorful. Beans were flavorful, but a little bit soupy and spicy. My husband really enjoyed the carne asada fries. They were tasty and super crispy even after being covered in delicious toppings. And what my husband said was the star: the donut. It was fluffy and not overly sweet. Overall, this place was good but nothing extra special. If it were closer to me, I'd pop in, but I wouldn't make the drive from North Hollywood to the eastern edge of Pasadena for it again. We were super excited to see they opened up a roll em up taquitos in Pasadena. We first tried it down in Irvine but that location closed sadly. We got 3 flour taquitos - one of each (beef, chicken and potato). Our favorite was the potato and the sauce on top was yummy and spicy! We also got the asada fries which were delicious. I love how crispy the fries are. The only thing that didn't hit was the taco salad. It was super tiny and had almost no lettuce... it was basically just a bowl with lettuce on top. The horchata also didn't taste great. I tried to Jamaica though and that was good. We came Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The first thing I noticed was the entrance and how uncomfortable it was to place an order because there's no room at the counter because it's right up against the front door. So right away you notice the design flaw. The inside is fairly small, a bar area and some tables. They have some outside seating. The only issue I have there is because it was such a warm and sunny day, the portico over the patio didn't provide a lot of shade. The food. It was all delicious and amazing. Would definitely go back. We ordered taquitos, tacos, cheese, fries, and everything was delicious. The taco was just a ground beef taco with cheese, lettuce, ground beef grease included the only flaw there was that the taco shell was all cracked and fell apart the minute I picked it up. But otherwise it was delicious. In fact, I added it to my queso fries And eat it that way. I did not order taquitos, but the others in my family did. They had potato and chicken and said they were absolutely delicious. We had ordered two kids meals and they were supposed to come with chips and salsa, but they didn't get it instead they gave them rice. We been wanting to try roll em up franchise for years have heard of it. Both beef, with the hot salsa. My order was processed relatively quickly. First bite of my taquitos: that crunch, that flavor and the satisfaction was evident! Next, I just HAD to try the taco! I was equally as satisfied with the taco. But that hot salsa!! I honestly wasn't expecting much! Restaurant "hot" is usually not hot at all. (You spicy Yelpers know exactly what I'm talking about.) Not only did this have a little kick, it was absolutely delicious! For the salsa alone, I will return. Overall, these are not the best I've ever had. Recently moved to Pasadena and wanted to try something new. Came here on a Sunday for lunch and will definitely be back. The horchata slusheez with caramel drizzle and whip cream on a hot day is an absolute must. The taquitos were crispy and the OG style is something I recommend if you don't mind messy fingers (worth it). The fries are perfectly salted and addictive. I wish I had come earlier because they ran out of the churro donut. Eddie the manager really made the experience so awesome.
