The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

We worked with Lisa and James about our options and they went to bat for us with the local Beko rep Jason. We got a prompt and courteous call back from the Beko regional service manager who said he would personally come to our house to address our needs. He was called away on a family emergency and rather than have us wait Albert Lee's James and Lisa arranged for us to simply swap out the unit for another one that better meets our needs. How wonderful to be treated like this! Both Albert Lee and Beko deserve the highest of ratings.

One company sent me a written estimate, a second said it would be about two weeks before it could send me an estimate based on the visit of its two electricians, and Jason from Day Road Electric gave me a verbal estimate on the spot. I liked Jason's friendly and straightforward manner, and I also like that his business is based on Bainbridge Island where I live. Plus, Jason's estimate was considerably less than the other estimate I got, so I went with Day Road Electric. Jason was able to schedule the work for the next week, and his colleague Dave did a great job and was speedy and efficient. Dave did have to return briefly a few days later to complete the connection of the 240V outlet to my whole house generator. Then, when I received the bill for the completed work it was just slightly more than half of the original estimate. I could not be more pleased!
