I wanted to cap my trip off to San Francisco with dumplings prior to my flight. I looked at the yelp reviews for places close my hotel and came upon this place. I highly recommend the pork and shrimp dumplings in chili oil. The wrappers kept their integrity and weren't too messy. The flavors were perfection! I also had the chicken and cabbage dumplings. Not as good, but really, chili oil just makes everything better. You can also sit outside by the Yerba Buena park while enjoying your meal.

I ordered the Beef Brisket Rice with Vegetables. The Beef Brisket was in a very flavorful broth which the rice, once add, soaked up. The Brisket was delicious, seasoned and very tender. The rice was delicious especially when added to the broth. The spring rolls were delicious

Very surprised by the low Yelp ratings on this one! We tried this small dumpling and noodles place inside the Metreon Center in SOMA and were pleasantly impressed. We like to mix and match food from different counters because it's set up like a food court. We had the Crystal Shrimp dumplings and the Bbq Pork Buns. Honestly they were better than most places we've tried in the Bay area. The buns in particular were soft, hot, and flavorful - went really well with some spicy chili oil! The service was quick. I'll be back to try more next time we are in the area.

Food was exquisite. It was very hot and sooo yummy. Workers were friendly and everything went pretty well.

Reasonably good as a quick ad hoc lunch. I took some chicken curry and a few dumplings and it was quickly ready and quickly gone.

I ate here for the very first time yesterday after my dentist appointment. I really liked the Beef Brisket Noodles Soup that I ordered. The brisket was very tender and the noodles were prepared just right. The counter person was very friendly and helpful. I plan to come back here if ever I am in the mood for more Beef Brisket Noodles Soup again while shopping at the nearby Target or visiting the nearby AMC Movie Theater.

The wontons were fine. Better than usual food court fare but it came at a staggering cost. With a 10% tip, this was a $25 meal that you could get for half the price with better ambiance on Clement, Balboa, or in Daly City. Unfortunately the minimum wage increase which restaurant workers *absolutely deserve* has food court establishments gouging customers.

I just had lunch here at the Rolling Dumpling in the Metreon Mall and had the wanton soup and it was so good. I unfortunately couldn't eat all of the soup because I was full half way through. I encourage everyone to eat lunch at this place. I give this place 5 stars

Tried out this Thai place inside the metreon, I got the pineapple chicken fried rice. It was ok but was expecting more. The food took a while to come out after ordering, and was in a takeout box which is fine but felt small. It would not be enough to split between 2 people without additional foods imo. Most dishes will go for $15-20 range.

Rolling Thai is not only a great spot for Thai food but it's also the home of Kazka, a drink company specializing in fruit seltzers and coconut slushies. They have an assortment of flavors to choose from at $7 a can. I first tried them last year at Foodieland but when I found out they were based close by at Metreon, I had to get more! I definitely had to get a bunch of drinks to take home and the flavors I got were: - Grape Lychee - Salty Plum - Pineapple Yakult - Guavaberries - Peachy Dragonfruit - Mango Coco - Coconut Bae - Pineapple Coco I really love how refreshing all the drinks are. The seltzers were really light and airy and the fruit flavors were really fresh. I especially like, however, the slushies! My favorite is the mango coco and the pineapple coco which I find to be perfectly balanced between the mango/pineapple sweetness and the more subtle notes of the coconut

I was in the area to pick up my Kazka drinks, the seasonal Kazka cake in a can and decided to also order food. The last time I was here they had mini hot pots and learned they no longer offered this menu item and I was a little saddened. I opted to try their other Thai food menu items. I ordered the pineapple fried rice, pad thai and the green curry with rice to bring home. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really surprised at how tasty everything was. The green curry was amazing--the perfect amount of heat (I asked for medium), it was so flavorful and nice portions of chicken in the curry--I needed more rice to get every bit of the curry. Both the tofu pad thai and pineapple fried rice was also very good. I liked the type of rice that was used...shorter grain and seemed stickier texture. I would definitely return and try their other menu items.

The girl at the counter was nice. I liked how they had the ordering kiosk. Super easy to use. She was there to answer questions. I selected the pad Thai with chicken! It was really good and the tables in the area were clean and the vibe was chill. Great place to eat during a day at Yerba Buena Park or if you're catching a movie. Would go back and try something else.

Ordered from here on DoorDash because we were craving some Tom kha! We ordered the following: 1. Tom kha meat lover 2. Veggie basil fried rice The Tom kha (1) was very tasty! I just wish it came with more broth. I feel as though there wasn't enough broth to toppings ratio. If there was a bit more, it would be perfect. The basil fried rice (2) was so-so, kind of flavorless and oily. And a very small portion. I would order the Tom kha again tho! Maybe if I ate it in-store, it would be better.

Wonton noodle soup, noodle soup with lettuce, pork buns, Thai ice tea.

The event going off without a hitch was really important, especially because the bride had lost her mom and didn't have her to celebrate this special milestone. I wanted to make sure the order was on time and there were no issues with delivery. I ended up canceling my original order because DoorDash wasn't going to confirm a dasher until the day of the delivery. I re-ordered through DoorDash but this time as a pick up. Again, DoorDash's service was leaving me unsure because they weren't going to send the order through until the pick up day. This was $500 worth of dim sum and I didn't want to take a chance the restaurant didn't receive the order or that they couldn't fulfill it in time. So, I canceled that order as well. I called the restaurant directly. They took my order without hesitation and made me feel at ease that everything will be ready on time. I called again in the morning to confirm my order before leaving for pick up. I couldn't get a hold of anyone, most likely they were busy with their Sunday rush, but they called me back even without me leaving a message! When I arrived my order was ready, The food was hot, packaged so nicely, and everything was clearly prepared with care. I was helped by a very nice staff member who made us feel like we were longtime customers. My daughter and her friends absolutely loved the food! Thank you so much, Dumpling House. We live in the Peninsula but will be making the trek to the Castro to support your restaurant. THANK YOU!

Naturally, I thought the same would be for this location, ordering for delivery. Sadly, I was proved very very wrong. I got a total of 3 items and paid a little over $50 not including tip.First plate, stir fry noodle Shanghai style 0/5. Noodles were stiff, entire plate lacked flavor, it was really dry. The cabbage was just sort of thrown in there and to my surprise, there was chicken (I didn't think it came with meat) and it was so suspicious, one bite and I immediately had to spit it out. It was chewy and tasted uncooked. I began to lose my appetite... Sesame Chicken 0/5 - it was all batter, little to NO meat inside whatsoever. Saucy but it was very clumpy. I was so disappointed with this one. It was literally just eating fried batter in sesame sauce with sesame seeds thrown on top. Braised String Beans - 2.5/5. They were fine, flavored enough with the grilled onions and garlic other than that, not impressive at all. I had really high hopes for this place/order. I had been craving Chinese food for so long and was going to order from my typical place but decided to give this one a try. I definitely should have stuck to what I know would have hit the spot. An absolute waste of $50, so frustrating.

I walked into the restaurant about 45 minutes before closing time at 9:30 PM and several other diners came in after I was seated. The unsettled weather made the people hungry for dumplings. Bao is warm and woody and serene on the inside, a great counterpoint to the bustle of Valencia at every hour. Upon entering there is a large window looking on to the kitchen prep area where culinary experts are often at work constructing the food diners later enjoy on their plates. Tonight a couple of wizards were in the process of making chicken potstickers. Even being vegetarian, just seeing how the dumplings and other items are made is like seeing secrets being shared. I love it and it sets the vibe for the restaurant. My order consisted of the steamed vegetarian buns and sautéed string beans. The buns come out beautifully presented and taste even better: the bun itself is just slightly sweet and that sweetness adds an amazing dimension to the chopped fresh vegetables inside. Can't tell you what any of these veggies are individually and I don't care, they are so good. Next came the sautéed string beans and the sear on the beans themselves was perfect and smoky and delicious. The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open.
