What an awesome place. I'm usually a poke person and that's my usual, and believe me when I tell you I eat here about 2-3 times a week the poke is really delicious and fresh, 3 scoops salmon and crab with extra sea weed salad is my order with spicy mayo. But today I tried the Kalbi plate. This might be my new favorite item so delicious. And when you come here don't forget to order some spring rolls. They have some of the best my favorite are the chicken or beef can't go wrong with these. Need a pick me up they have drip coffee over sweet condensed milk, or can't go wrong with a Thai tea. Amazing food!!! Stopped in on our way home from Yosemite. We were so grateful for delicious food that was super quick and high quality. Probably the best place to get good Vietnamese food in Bakersfield. Only thing they lack is that when they are on a busy schedule they don't have someone to attend the customers right away, and ask the customer to wait while they are attending other customers, which kinda reminds me of dine and dash. Other than that, the food makes up for it and is worth coming. read more

I'm so glad something like this is finallynhere in Bakersfield. I'm from LA and there's express shops everywhere. So needless to say that I am happy. But this place has a small menu but they have the classic spring rolls and a few other ones like a bbq beef roll and banh mi sandwiches and small bowls of vermicelli and grilled shrimp. Just tried the spring rolls and Banh mi. Both were good, not great. Maybe I'm just spoiled being born and raised in San Jose, but I could help but feeling it was missing some kind of zazz. I really enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan of peanut sauces; however, I really enjoyed what was included in my spring roll order. It had a splash of chili sauce in it, which really gave you the acidity to kind tie the fresh bite of roll and the creamy peanut sauce together. I'll be frequenting this place, for sure! read more

I love spring rolls and have been eating them at one place only so far. I thought it was time to try them somewhere else. I saw Rolls and Grill under hot and new and they actually had more selections. They had good reviews with an average rating of 4 1/2 points. Their other menu items weren't rated as highly. I chose the classic spring roll with shrimp and pork and my husband had the sausage spring roll. Both came with a spicy peanut sauce with chopped peanuts on top. My husband loved the dipping sauce and ate part of mine as well as all of his. Spring rolls are served either 3 or 4 per order. A few of them only come in 4s. They were delicious and even had crunchy fried pieces in the centers, which we really liked. We went with the fresh, daily made, passion fruit drink which we both thought was awesome. The only down side was that they were slow but then it was around 5pm and they seemed to have lots of take out orders. I will definitely try all of their other spring rolls. read more

I love their spring rolls . The only thing is that they are stingy about their hot spicy paste. I eat my spring rolls with a lot of spicy paste sauce and they only give you a little. The television that they have is suitable and appropriate for children to watch while sitting there. read more

The best Bahn Mi I've had in Bako yet! It's all about the baguette, which here has that glossy, crispy, and soft texture imparted by what I can only assume is a percentage of rice flour in the dough. The veggie toppings are always on point, and the service is consistently friendly and fast. The jalapeños are sometimes sneaky spicy, so just to be safe one ought to always include a sweet, creamy Vietnamese coffee with their sandwich. read more

I was excited for this place, but it fell short of expectations. The spring rolls were falling apart due to a thinner wrap and being overstuffed. The chicken vermicelli was good, however I would have preferred less fat and more flavor. My wife ordered the Bahn Mi, which was underwhelming. The staff was great and attentive, however I am just not a fan of the food myself. I wont personally be back, however many of my friends and colleagues love it, and I would recommend giving it a chance for yourself. read more

Coming from out of town. Banh Mi was excellent. Spicy Peanut sauce was da bomb. TV was playing 50s, 60s and 70s music which I enjoyed.

By far the best rolls I've had. Everything on the menu is amazing. From the poke bowls to the sauce . I would recommend this. Just be ready to wait a bit longer than usual, specially during lunch hours since it gets really full. read more

Placed our order at 12:11 ... waited and waited and waited ... at 1 we noticed two men , who ordered half hour after us, come up and just grab our food ... so we went up and asked for a refund. The girl told us the owner wasn't there and we wouldn't be able to get one but to leave our number and she would call us later.. we asked to talk to a manager.. she said the manager was busy. Tons of people were getting upset . You could hear the angry chatter among the patrons.. once the manager saw what was happening she made sure we got our food next. It was absolutely delicious. Not 1 hour and 15 minutes delicious though... just beware of a long wait time if the place looks crowded! I understand they are new .
