By far one of the best drunken noodles I've ever had. Whenever I order Thai food, I always get the Beef Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao), and this mom and pop shop completely surprised me. I ordered it medium spicy, and it had the perfect balance of beef, vegetables, and noodles. Nothing was skimped on, and they even included extra hot sauce on the side. The first time I ordered through DoorDash, but this visit I stopped by in person. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly and welcoming, and my food came out quickly. I also tried the Spicy Beef Salad, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. If you're a fan of drunken noodles, I highly recommend giving this place a try. First time trying this place and I'm thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. I got a pork pad see ew, shrimp papaya salad and the drunken noodles with beef. A lot of Thai places in town don't take the time to velvet their meats for the noodle dishes, which then leaves you with dry, inedible meat. It's one of the main things that matter to me when getting Thai noodles dishes, and Kin Thai's meats were perfectly velveted and so tender. They serve their food in to go containers, which I didn't mind. Kinda smart, if you ask me. All I needed to do was ask for a lid and I was out! Portions were good and flavor was even better. Nice mom and pop place. My husband and I were the only ones in there on a Saturday afternoon. The owners were very sweet and chatted with us for a bit before our food was ready. Family-owned, authentic, no-frills Thai restaurant. Stopped by this spot on the way back from Northern California to Southern California and may have found one of the best Thai places I've ever been to. The staff is very sweet and attentive! You can tell the charm of the place by the family's story on the menu and the grad-party decorations by the door. The recipes prioritize spice and protein. And not sure how to explain this, but you can taste each ingredient by how they cooked the dish. Usually I find that everything has one general flavor. Kin Thai is a hidden gem. It's located off Brimhall in an old Snow Shack space. We were greeted by the sweetest lady. She gave us menus and then we ordered at the counter and water is self serve. My family enjoyed the chicken satay, drunken noodle and Pad Thai dishes. Every dish was served fresh, hot and was great. Soft opening! I guess they are waiting for a sign to be approved by the city to have their grand opening. Ive been waiting for this place to open so Im glad my friend posted that it was open and said it was delicious. I ordered the chicken panang curry, it comes with white rice and the chicken pad thai with thai ice tea. Loved the pad thai. I highly recommend recommend. The panang curry was good too. Not too spicy like the last time I had parang and the thai tea wasn't overly sweet and I loved the ice that was in it! I think I would come back. My new favorite Thai place in town, my only regret is finding out about it now. I got the drunken noodle, it was perfect, I asked for it to be the spiciest level it was still not too spicy, but they explained that someone else ordered it that way and it was too much, but to accomodate me they gave me all the spices in my table. What a wonderful surprise! Was recommended by a friend and had a great experience, the staff was very friendly when I walked in the door. I ordered the yellow curry with pork and a tai iced tea to go the meal was packaged well with very generous portions, I really enjoyed the curry it was more savory than most yellow curry's and the tai tea was on the sweet side but paired perfectly. I love Thai food so I'm happy to have a spot close to home. This is a place that I think specializes in take out versus a sit down type of place (though they do have a few tables). The food is priced very reasonable for Thai food and the quality ($13-15 a dish for most of them). The menu is fairly small as of the soft opening, but it has the popular dishes like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Pad See Ew as well as some others. Overall, I see myself returning here quite a bit. read more
