The service is always quick, but it may be because I live only .5 miles away. It is quick, it is ALWAYS hot, and I get to enjoy it all in the comfort of my own home..which is awesome. I have been in the restaurant and it is a typical Italian pizzeria, and a cool establishment with a very busy atmosphere, but I prefer the delivery option for sure. However I was the only customer in there, met eyes with one staff and I know I was in the peripheral of another. Not a word or a smile. After waiting approximately one minute I walked out. I went to the Sherron Road location yesterday and the lady at the cash register was very rude and nasty (as ususal) This is not the first time she has done this either but it will be the last. I paid with a $50.00 bill and she asked me if I thought she was a bank. She then asked her employee to get change from Food Lion and when he returned she said "here" like I was some child she was calling to the register. She is always short and nasty with the customers and though my little $25 might not keep their doors open I will definitely not spend another dime in there. I have been a customer for years, I used to live nearby and moved farther away, but I still visit from time to time. The young guy whom I assume is the manager always provides a friendly greeting and pleasant banter, and I always feel welcome. The Gyros are Gy-reat! What I most want to say, however, is how impressed I am by one employee in particular. His name is Ian. I first became acquainted with him a few months ago, and he is one of the main reasons that I will drive eighteen miles to get a gyro. His face lights up when he sees me, we always have a friendly conversation, and he always remembers my order. I am an older white guy, and he is a young black man, and who cares? We're both people, and he is one of the good guys. I have been in the restaurant business since the 70's, and I know good service. This is IT! Way to go, Ian! read more

Like the pepperoni is beef, no pork. Like that it's an independent business. Like the pizzas, a little oily, but we dab it with paper towels. I am visiting my daughter today and decided to stop for something to eat. The people at Roma's are pretty nice people, but I witnessed the Grosses incident. One of the employees which was Caucasian was in the back of the restaurant's kitchen which apparently was possibly a storage area sneezing. He came back out with the same gloves on his hands didn't change them. He went straight to the fryer and then the phone rang and instead of removing his gloves to answer the phone he left them on and proceeded to write a phone order. We live 1/2mi from this restaurant. We ordered a medium pizza with fried mushrooms. It took 45min, which is what I was told. Everything was cold. And we asked for extra cheese. No go. I'm a very picky eater & was skeptical ordering from here due to a few negative reviews. I'm visiting family who live nearby & it's so foggy I didn't want to drive far. I ordered eggplant parmigiana with low expectations & lemme tell ya, I'm impressed! It takes a lot to do that too. The sauce was light with small tomato chunks, not overly salty or seasoned & I would've liked a little more since it was good. Perfectly baked with a generous amount of mozzarella. The eggplant was hearty, perfect amount of spaghetti, the whole dish weighed about 1 1/2 lbs. I'll be back again for this dish & I'd like to try the lasagne since the sauce isn't salty. Roma is a very casual restaurant-- more of a takeout environment. I don't believe there are servers, but there are places to sit. It's located near a Food Lion. There is a lot of parking, so that won't be an issue. I ordered the Chicken Parm, which was decent. The sauce was really tasty, but it appears to be chicken tenders with cheese and sauce. I really like the subs from Roma's - they're all pretty good (I've had the chicken, ham and cheese, cheeseburger). Fries are usually good but can be a bit overcooked sometimes. Their garlic knots are DELICIOUS. Salads are decent! The only thing that's really subpar, and it's sad (because it's in their NAME) is the pizza. Crust seems like it's frozen and not made in store. The quality of the ingredients taste cheap. It tastes like...a subpar cheap pizza. Domino's is better. If they step up their pizza game, I'd gladly give a higher score. They always deliver quickly and most of their prices are reasonable. Delivery drivers all seem to be people who actually work in the restaurant and are very friendly. However, Roma, if you are reading this: I have been delivered the wrong sodas on quite a few occasions and when I've called they haven't offered to comp them or bring the correct one out. The staff is very friendly and prompt to assist. ***Wait times can be a little long but they are just opening so it might take awhile before they get kinks ironed out. Definitely recommend for take-out, not dine in. The restaraunt is very clean and tidy - more of a cafe table and chairs setting with very bright white fluorescent lights that are a little harsh at night. We have two other pizza places that will deliver to us, Papa John's and Pizza Hut. Aside from a very few other options from Yelp's Eat24, that's it. This was a very welcome addition to our lazy night dinner plans. We had great subs: a grilled chicken sub (think chicken cheese steak) with chucks of grilled chicken and grilled onions, and a club sub. The bread was superb and we were both happy. Fries were hot and well seasoned (not quite crispy, but we let them set about 20 minutes before eating, so probably our fault). Just because I was curious, we also ordered a sausage, green pepper and onion pizza. It was so good we debated whether to eat more of it or another half of the sub. The toppings were very good quality and the crust was crispy and chewy (again, after about a half hour being delivered). Delish! All this and about the same price as our typical order of two Pizza Hut pizzas. Very happy and thankful to have a new option. We will definitely be ordering from them again soon! Use to work here, I tried to put gloves on to help make pizzas and the owner scowled at me for "wasting gloves" and told me to make the pizzas without gloves. Owner is an Italian guy, I asked him how much do I get paid and he scowled again saying "all you people care about is money" Also, yelled at me in front of a customer and charged my mistake out of my paycheck which btw, I wasn't given until i worked there for almost a month because the guy didn't want to pay interest for getting my check made. He charged any small mistake I made, he took it out of my check. Worst place I've ever worked. Horrible people own this place! Food - Good, Prices - Fair, Service - HORRIBLE! The pizza and cheese sticks were actually very good. However, it's still an overall 1-star for the horrible delivery service. The guy zoomed up to the wrong door and blocked our mail truck that was trying to back up for deliveries. Ok fine, he managed to miss the giant front door and saw this one open. He managed to miss the mail truck with it's beeping. And he managed to miss the pile of packages on the sidewalk that were being loaded. I went out to meet him and he didn't smile at all or even say hi. He interrupted me and asked if we could go inside instead of just handing us the food. Ok fine, I assumed I'd have a paper to sign for my card and he needed a table. Food gets put on the table and I ask where I can sign. He goes "What? No tip?!" I honestly thought it was on the card when we placed the order online and told him as such, hence the asking for a receipt I could sign. He holds up his order slip and says "No! It says cash tip". I started to explain I didn't have cash on me but figured I could scrounge up at least some change. He then goes off on a rant about not getting a tip and gas prices and something about a $2 fee. At this point, I kind of stopped listening and he was storming out the door still going off. This was, personally, my first order here with them. My co-workers spoke highly of it so I'm a bit shocked. I have been in the service industry and I've lived off tips. I understand the frustration of expecting one and getting nothing. And I 100% would have at least given him change from my desk or purse. It may have only been a dollar or two, but at least it's something. The second you DEMAND a tip, you show me you aren't worth it. Even if an order is screwed up, I still tip. Even if a delivery is late, I still tip. Things happen that are out of a server/driver's control and they shouldn't get penalized in tip because of that. However, the attitude is a choice, and this was a poor one at that. I'll be letting my friends and co-workers know. Two of them were already there and looked at me with blank stares as he went off. Great local small business with excellent thin NY style pizza. I was craving some ny pizza last night and I was very satisfied after getting pizza here. The staff is always friendly. I did a pickup order and they needed a couple more minutes when I got there but my food was super fresh and hot. The pizza has great seasoning. I got pepperoni sausage and mushroom and it was terrific. Great amount of sauce and cheese. The fried mushrooms were good but not special. Ordered a veggie pizza. As I was walking out, I noticed the bottom of the box was wet. I just assumed it was steam. Got pizza home and sat on counter. Lifted it and counter was wet. I order a half meat half deluxe pizza. They were generous with the toppings. The pizza tasted okay probably smelled much better than it tasted. It wasn't nasty but it wasn't great either. It was missing something. I didn't care for the crust. It was crispy or even hard in some places. Maybe it baked too long? Would I go back? Probably to try a sub or maybe even pizza with a coupon.
