When she had to go for the evening, Toto took over and he was just as good. The ambiance was ok from what we were able to see as where we were seated was extremely dark. All persons had to use their phone flashlights to even see the menu items. We ordered multiple dishes and were very pleased with each - Cacio e Pepe, Carbonara, Margherita Pizza, Fritto Misto, the cheese wheel pappardelle, Lamb Lollipops, and multiple drinks. That's saying a lot, because my Italian husband is incredibly picky about eating out at Italian restaurants. I did a search of the top restaurants in Little Italy. Roman Wolves popped up, and what really stood out to me was that they had cheese wheel pasta. I've always wanted to try it, which made Roman Wolves an immediate yes for me. I made dinner reservations for 8:30pm on a Saturday night. We were seated at a table by the kitchen. Felt cozy and intimate. Perfect setting for our date night. Service was great. Our food came out in a timely manner, and the wait staff members were cheery and friendly. We shared the oxtail meatballs, Caesar salad, and cheese wheel pasta: - Meatballs were OK. I thought that they were on the salty side. I liked the marinara, which was more tart than it was sweet. - Can't go wrong with the classic Caesar. Love when restaurants include whole slices of fresh anchovies, which I can't get enough of. - Do not let the "MP" (market price) on the cheese wheel pasta scare you away. It was $44 for the plate, but it was honestly worth it. Plus my husband and I split the meal and still took home leftovers. The pasta was the best thing we ate bar none. What a lovely experience at Roman Wolves! Took my family here on a Saturday and very glad we made reservations since they were turning away ppl who didn't have a res. Ordered the trio bruschetta, calamari, stuffed zucchini blossoms , gnocchi alla vodka, lasagna, artichoke ravioli, salmon, and drinks. My family loved the appetizers and their pasta dishes. Came for restaurant week so we tried their $40 per person deal (app, entree and dessert). The service and ambiance get 5 stars - love the decor and overall vibe. Apps - the mozzarella 'triangles' were fantastic with the pesto but the calamari was a bit underwhelming and kind of dry. Out of the two entrees we tried their pasta was the best! Loved the cream sauce - the sage added great flavor! The chicken and potatoes were alright - not bad my any means but nothing special. Desserts knocked it out of the park. Roman Wolves completely exceeded my expectations. Every part of the meal was outstanding from start to finish. We started with the Mozzarella in Carrozza and the Pane di Casa, and both were phenomenal. The Mozzarella in Carrozza was crispy, cheesy, and absolutely addictive--comfort food done to perfection. The Pane di Casa was just as memorable and disappeared from the table embarrassingly fast. The highlight of the night was the Parmesan Wheel Special. Ours featured shrimp, broccoli, and a pink sauce, and it was absolutely incredible. Watching it be prepared tableside was an experience on its own, but the flavor was what truly impressed me. It was rich, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the most memorable pasta dishes I've had. We finished with the tiramisu, which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Light, flavorful, and beautifully executed. A huge thank you to our waiter, Jason, who made the experience even better. He was funny, kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on! Great service can elevate a meal, and Jason absolutely did. recently visited roman wolves for a friend's bday and had a great experience! our server was from naples and was super friendly (wish i could remember his name), the food came out almost lightening fast! everything tasted very fresh and my gnocchi was just so soft and pillowy, it melted in my mouth. the cheese wheel pasta was a fun table side experience and tasted incredible. the only room for improvement was i was a bit underwhelmed by the ambience, at least in the back room we were in. it kind of felt like a disneyland-esque italian restaurant, a little bit cheugy with fake roman pillars and such, just my opinion but was a little bit of a miss. there's so many beautiful italian spots in little italy so i think they just have a lot to live up to :) also side note but the chips they gave us to start were not my cup of tea, they were kind of soggy and i wish we would have just gotten bread instead. but overall a great spot, would come back again! read more

This place does not have handicapped parking near entrance as stated. The handicapped parking is a block away. If you or someone in your party is handicapped I'd definitely go somewhere else. My wife and I arrived in town to attend a conference and had our first dinner at Roman Wolves. We had made a reservation before leaving home, just in case, for a Saturday evening at 6 p.m. We were promptly seated upon arrival at an inside two-top table that was probably too close to other tables. At times, we felt that we were in others' business. The dining area was also very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. Our friendly New Jersey server introduced himself and walked us through the menu with his recommendations. We followed his lead and ordered the cheese wheel, pappardelle ragu di Roma, and a bottle of Nebbiolo red wine. Our meals arrived quickly. We were treated to a brief show tableside as the five cheeses, gnocchi, chicken, and mushrooms were mixed together in a large bowl and served. I think the ingredients change frequently for the cheese wheel, so ask first. Both dishes were fabulous, with giant portions. The ragu was meaty and hardy, with wide noodles. The gnocchi were light and pillowy. Both paired well with our wine, and our server did a great job topping off our wine glasses. Kyle took care of our table and gave us spot-on recommendations that will make us come back to try other items. We also had the cheese wheel Alfredo special of the day, which was fun and easily the standout. The Alfredo was rich, creamy, and prepared right in the cheese wheel, which made it both delicious and such a cool experience.
