My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful experience at Roman Wolves! From the hostess to the food runners, bussers, and our server, Luca. Every single person provided exceptional service and made us feel so welcome. If you're lucky enough to have Luca as your server, you're in great hands! He was attentive, kind, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. We started with the calamari, which was delicious, and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. I originally ordered the gnocchi vodka pasta, but it just wasn't for me--it was much cheesier than I expected, and I personally prefer a creamier pasta. I felt so bad because I've never sent a dish back before, but Luca made me feel completely comfortable and reassured me that it was absolutely okay. He quickly brought me the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken instead, and it came out so fast! It was incredibly creamy, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The food was great, but the outstanding hospitality is what really made this experience unforgettable. We'll definitely be back, and we'll be asking for Luca again!

This was place was amazing , I found this place on TikTok just looking for a place to spend my birthday and anniversary and we decided to pull up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside and inside was beautifully decorated[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the staff was friendly , we didn't know we need rsvp it was super busy but we got to sit and the bar with full service ... the food was amazing , fresh and we loved everything we had. This is definitely a small gem and I will come back... our server Luca and Dylan was so much and thank you for the beautiful service

My wife and I originally had reservations elsewhere for our anniversary dinner, but seeing the reviews here, the menu, and photos, we made a very last minute decision to switch it up and come here instead and it was the BEST DECISION EVER. Everything about this place just could not have been more perfect. ** SERVICE / STAFF - 5 STARS - AMAZING! ** I'll start with the staff because great people deserve credit. We were very early to our reservations, but luckily there were available seats at the bar so we were seated there until our table was ready. The hosts were super welcoming and friendly. The bartender Dillon was super nice and made my wife a very good looking, carefully crafted cocktail. Our server Jason was honestly one of the best we've ever had anywhere. Like, elite lol. He was extremely friendly, attentive, funny, and very helpful with us trying to decide what to eat because everything on the menu sounded delicious. ** FOOD - 5 STARS - AMAZING! ** Fritto Misto - Very good, crispy, flavorful, large portion, and with great dipping sauces. Would definitely order this again. It comes with shrimp and calamari, however, I think I would have preferred to just have the calamari. Trio Bruschetta - LOVED THIS. One of the best appetizers ever. It came with 3 different toppings - (1) Tomatoes, parmigiano, garlic. (2) Ricotta, prosciutto, walnuts and honey. (3) Roasted artichoke and pesto. All three of them were insanely good. My favorite one was the ricotta and prosciutto! Lasagna - I was deciding between the lasagna or the crab ravioli and our server recommended I go with the lasagna and I'm so glad he did! Honestly, this was one of the best lasagna's I've had. As our server said, it was "MEATY". The Oxtail Ragu was amazing. Never have I had an Oxtail Ragu lasagna before, but it was epic. I highly recommend this to all lasagna lovers. Carbonara - My wife ordered this. She said it was good. I prefer a red sauce pasta, so I can't say much here, but it was a big portion for her and she enjoyed it. Desserts were very good. We had this cream puff type of thing. Honestly can't remember the name of it. It was almost like a whipped cream sandwich? Very fluffy and light. Simply delicious. The cannoli was amazing as well. ** AMBIENCE ** - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibrant and energetic scene. Clearly everyone there was having a great time. It was exactly what we were looking for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] NOTE - There is a 5% surcharge added to the bill for whatever reason. As annoying as this is, we did feel like the dining experience was pretty amazing and made up for it lol. I personally think that restaurants should just make their pricing inclusive of whatever other costs they need to cover and just do without these surcharges.

Food was amazing, service was very good and friendly. Ambiance was good was a bit too dark and the mood lighting was good but a little bit too dark we couldn't really see the menu.

I love the decor here! I've been here twice now- once for happy hour and for an event so far. For happy hour, we shared the calamari and pinsa caprese, and also got a few drinks. I also had to get their cheese wheel pasta! The pinsa was really fresh and delicious. For our entree, we opted for the Filetto di Manzo, which is a grilled filet mignon. It was beautifully presented and beef was tender. The pasta was also flavorful. For dessert, I wanted to try the maritozzi, which was creamy and delicious.

Definitely get reservations as they are packed but they do have limited bar seating for first -come first- serve. The pasta is made fresh daily and you can taste the freshness, especially with the gnocchi which was my favorite dish of the evening. It has a delicious , cheesy vodka sauce and some zucchini mixed in too . Highly recommend . I also enjoyed the burrata, caesar and artichoke ravioli. The Caesar comes with anchovies on top but our server warned us and they kindly removed it per our request. I would definitely come back here again next time I'm in the area .

I was finally able to visit Roman wolves with a friend a couple weekends ago and boy was I impressed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful spot with many intimate and inviting spaces to dine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I arrived to find an incredible happy hour which is offered 4-6 pm Sunday -Thursday. There were many dishes to try and I wish we had a larger group so we could've tried them all. We chose the Roman margarita pinsa and the stuffed zucchini blossoms. Both were outstanding and more than enough for two people to share. Now on to the drinks... I ordered the Romantini (their espresso martini) and my friend ordered a Lucius spritz. Both were crafted with extreme care, tasted delicious, and were served with creative messages attached. The service was attentive, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of. Overall, we had a great weekend happy hour, and I am anxious to return. Thank you so much!

Roman Wolves was one of the highlights of our trip! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere, food, and drinks were fantastic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Jason. He provided outstanding service, made us feel incredibly welcome, and even took the time to recommend local places to explore during our honeymoon. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like more than just guests. Thank you, Jason, for making our honeymoon even more special. We highly recommend Roman Wolves and hope to see you again on our next visit!

Stopped by in Little Italy while waiting for our friends to land at the airport and popped in for a quick happy hour. We tried the martinis, specialty cocktails, and a charcuterie board. The martinis were delicious, and the charcuterie board was abundant with a great selection--definitely one of the best I've had in Little Italy. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even better. The ambiance is modern, romantic, and elevated, making it a lovely spot to unwind. We can't wait to return with friends and family!

Staff was also not very attentive to guests' needs, rather just going through the motions. For instance, they noted "standing room only" and that they would eventually seat our party of two. They walked us to an exact spot on the floor to stand and view the menu in the dark (we used our phone flashlights, but it wasn't easy while carrying our belongings too), and they instructed us not to order at the bar in this colorful but dimly lit tiki lounge. We essentially ordered from staff who took our order in the middle of the floor, then we had to hold our drinks, some that came with additional shot glasses, in full hands, as we were never seated. We did find a barrel to set our drinks on later, but their process and expectations for guests was just really weird and impractical. The theme and decor of the setting was lovely, with moments of a lightning and thunder effect that made the experience more immersive. But we were not impressed by the sticky menus and sticky floor, nor the lack of service and minimal help from staff while there. We made the most of our time at False Idol regardless of their shortcomings. The bombay sling and enigma de muerte were pretty decent in quality and flavor, so it's safe to say the drinks aren't the problem here. And though we probably won't return, it was cool for a one-time experience.

If you're not a regular, be careful, because apparently all it takes is one drunk friend of the staff making up a story to get you kicked out. While visiting San Diego with friends, we came here after hearing so many great things. There was a short wait, which was fine. The four of us were seated at a small standing table, also fine. Behind us were two guys drinking at the standing bar. One of them bumped into my friend and then stroked her arm while apologizing. She was visibly uncomfortable, so I told her to switch places with me. The guy immediately said, "We're gay, so you don't have to worry," then turned to his friend and said, "Now he looks so stupid and embarrassing." I told him, "I don't think it's embarrassing to make sure your friends are comfortable," then turned back around. I didn't argue with him, insult him, or continue the conversation. I thought that was the end of it. A few minutes later, the manager came over and told us we had made comments that made other patrons uncomfortable and asked us to leave. We had already paid for our drinks and were still waiting for them. My friend followed the manager to ask what was going on, and I joined shortly after. The person complaining was, of course, the same guy who had bumped into her. He was clearly drunk and started rambling about how we had made homophobic comments toward him and his friend. This was especially ridiculous considering the friend I switched places with was there with her girlfriend. We calmly explained exactly what happened. The manager did not care. There was no real attempt to hear our side, ask questions, or figure out what actually happened. The decision had clearly already been made. While we were speaking to the manager, the guy who complained was cheerfully talking with one of the bartenders, receiving a to-go meal, and greeting them cheek to cheek. He very obviously appeared to know the staff. So that seems to be how things work here: a drunk regular or friend of the staff can make up whatever story he wants, and management will throw out an entire group of paying customers without even pretending to investigate. They refunded the drinks, which was the bare minimum. The ambience was nice, but that means absolutely nothing when the staff handles customers this poorly. Awful management, blatant favoritism, and easily the worst service I have ever experienced. I would never come back, and I would strongly warn anyone who isn't already friends with the staff to stay away.

Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! Always a 5 Star experience when gathering for drinks here…read more Over the years, the names have changed for the provider of Polite Provision's delicious orderable food to go along with their polite provisions. Items such as scrupulously prepared meatballs, fried polenta, spaghetti with mushroom sauce, etc., from the prior next-door, connected purveyor "Soda and Swine"...but those days are done ...I digress. And where is Soda and Swine's Yelp page? I know I did a review, but now the page appears gone completely in search? Nah, it's just hidden, presumably to accommodate Fortunate Sons, which opened about a year ago after re-construction of both establishments. I'm too lazy to see if still owned by Consortium Group. I did search my reviews and found my updated Soda & Swine review dated 8 & 10 years ago. O_o !! Now, food is still served, however, there's a new name in town called "Fortunate Son" (next door, connected). Apparently, food now served is Asian-inspired. I've not visited recently to taste. The North Park area is a great neighborhood with many different types of food close by. While you're there, don't forget to stop by "An's Dry Cleaners", where the most inventive gelato's, ice creams and sorbets come from.

The drinks we ordered were good and service didn't take too long. Right next to Fortunate Son so you can order food from them and enjoy in their bar.

Kiku Room has a chic minimalist interior, with polish concrete, metal, and glass as the primary backdrop. The DJ booth is large and separates the front sitting area from a lounge in the back that is draped in deep red lighting. The bartenders are cool and welcoming, the DJs who come through are usually really good, and the lounge is quite comfortable as well. Pretty good price on drinks overall, too. You can get a glass of draft Asahi here for $7, for instance, which is pretty good for a place that's in this DTSD-adjacent area.

The atmosphere immediately reminded me of Berlin with its moody red room aesthetic and unique vibe. There's a DJ right when you walk in next to the bar, and as you make your way toward the back, you'll find additional seating. It's a fun, energetic space that's unlike many other spots in San Diego. However, my visit this past Friday was a completely different story. We had to wait outside for people to leave before we could get in, although thankfully that only took a few minutes. Once inside, it was packed shoulder to shoulder. There are only two bathroom stalls so it took about 20 minutes just to use the restroom. The biggest issue, though, was the temperature. It honestly felt like it was 100 degrees inside. It was unbearably hot, and after a while we had to leave because we were so uncomfortable. During a crowded San Diego summer night, having air conditioning or at least improved ventilation would make a huge difference. That said, I still recommend checking this place out. My advice is to visit on a weekday instead of a weekend, and avoid especially hot or overly crowded nights. When it's not packed, the atmosphere is unique, stylish, and definitely worth experiencing.
