    Bistecca Florentine

We've been meaning to try this place for months already and got to dine here tonight. We were seated after a few minutes upon arriving. The place was nice and looked fancy a little. It had a cozy vibe with nice lights hanging around. Since we were a large party, we were seated on a round table towards the end of the restaurant. Our server (a guy, I forgot to take note of his name) was nice. We were first served breads and drinks. My husband and I tried the Italian soda in blood orange and blackberry. We liked it. It was not refillable though. The bread was served whole and you'll cut it yourself. For starters, we had the calamari fritti, signature mac and cheese bites and crispy fresh mozzarella. The calamari was hard and bite sizes. We didn't like it that much. We liked both the signature mac and cheese bites and crispy fresh mozzarella more. For entree, I had the Bistecca Florentine while my husband did the create your own pasta. He opted for the spaghetti arrabbiata with fresh spinach, broccolini and roasted tomatoes and italian sausage and meatballs for protein. I liked how my steak turned out and enjoyed my meal. It came with mashed potatoes and brocollini. Another thing I liked about this place was they have a changing table for babies. We'll definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Good food! Server was attentive. Seat was dirty & lumpy. Fork had a prong that was bent. Pesky fly.

I really enjoy coming here for small family get-togethers and celebrations. We went for Mother's Day (with reservations) and only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. We love drawing and coloring on the "tablecloth". The ceaser salad is always good and the truffle Mac is amazing. Spaghetti and meatballs are exactly what you expect and I love the fresh parm grated on top. (If I had it my way they would leave the cheese grater at the table) lol one of the best Italian chain restaurants imo.

We never been here sad to say. And we have clearly been missing out. The service was spectacular! She was super attentive, checked on us often, kept our drinks filled and she was delightful to talk to. Her name was Olivia. The inside has a romantic feel and was perfect for our date night! We ordered the dinner special. Ribeye with compound garlic herb butter and buttermilk mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare and the rosemary, garlic and herb butter really elevated it to the best steak we had in a long time! The buttermilk mashed potatoes were amazing by itself but paired so well with the steak and sautéed spinach. This is a MUST try if you haven't been here.

The Folsom restaurant closed several years ago so we came here since we were craving Italian. The restaurant has the classic Tuscan look but maybe could use a more modern update. The server was very courteous and attentive. The Italian bread and calamari appetizers were kinda bland. The entrees made up for it. I got the Mama's trio and really liked the chicken parmesan portion. The lasagna bolognese was solid but not special. I think they should update the menu which hasn't changed in all the years we've been to Macaroni grill. Overall a good experience but not sure we'll be back.

We tried to go to another restaurant nearby, but the whole inside was reserved for "trivia night" like it is 2011. I was still recovering from mouth surgery so pasta was probably better than a burger anyway. The inside is exactly what you would expect from a large Italian American chain restaurant. It was precisely what I needed. The ambiance is warm, comfortable, spacious, and dimly lit. There is a bar with a few seats and TVs. We were given a booth which is the best when eating with a 5 year old. The service was incredible. He was courteous, funny, and experienced. I got my drink refilled 2 times and never had to ask. We were a little salty over the other restaurant being reserved and he totally flipped our mood. The bread. The bread. The bread. It was delicious. The bite was perfect and flavor had a light salt taste that really activated some zones. I ordered spaghetti bolognese with roasted peppers and tomatoes, broccolini, and roasted chicken. I hadn't eaten a real meal in a week and it again was precisely what I needed. I went outside my norm and ordered the chocolate cake for dessert. Just imagine what noises and faces you would make while eating an amazing chocolate cake. It was the same for me. I don't remember if I had ever eaten at a Macaroni Grill before this visit, but I highly recommend this location and will definitely return.

Service was sweet. The food was terrible. This store is nothing like the other stores. Poor management is transparent. Pasta dishes served on chilled plates?‍ product is inconsistent with menu descriptions and presentation of bread, dipping oil, and meals, all equivalent to a kindergarten playhouse. Our server tried, but it was apparent the rest of the house didn't care. Oh, and I would be curious how clean and cared-for the kitchen is when the ceiling and floors in the front of the house are in such disrepair. men's restroom trash cans were absolutely full and overflowing an hour after opening. Which leads me to believe nighttime crew didn't do their job cleaning up for the next day because the restaurant was empty.

On Yelp you advertise a Feast for 5 with free delivery for $25. When I tried to order it through the link it charges $30 and a delivery fee of $6.87? How do I receive the special yelp promo advertising $25 with free delivery?

Hi Misty - Delivery is free up to 5 miles after which a delivery charge may be applied.

Ordered delivery from this place (it is definitely not called a restaurant), they ask the degree of roasting of the meat. what for? if the meat remains soggy. further, under the steak, somehow there was a part of the pasta .. how did it get there?

They always ask how u want the meat cooks. What is part of the pasta. Like u know Oops there was a French fry with my onion rings

Which menus are available on Mother's Day around 1? Just brunch? Brunch and lunch?

We will be offering a special Mother's Day Brunch menu as well as our regular dinner menu on Mother's Day.

I just read they do brunch on the weekends! Menu looks great, but no prices posted. What is the price range? How much are the bottomless Mimosas?

Mix & Match $12.00. Wine list is awesome as well!!

    Do they take reservations?

Yes, we take reservations through OpenTable! https://www.macaronigrill.com/locations/location?id=234

The staff was very nice and welcoming, and they even offered focaccia bread and water while I waited, which I appreciated. I ordered two kids pizzas, one with pineapple and one with olives, and specifically asked for extra sauce because my kids like their pizza that way. I was also charged an extra $2 for the toppings, which I paid, but it would have been nice if that had been communicated to me upfront. Unfortunately, after waiting about 40 minutes, the pizzas were very disappointing. My kids immediately said it tasted like cheese bread, and after trying it myself, I agreed. There was barely any sauce at all, which was surprising since I had asked for extra sauce. My kids wouldn't eat it, and I ended up having to take them somewhere else to get pizza. I was really disappointed after driving so far and having high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Whereas the flavors were fairly mild, it was still comforting and certainly good. The pasta trio was palatable overall, with each pasta having its own distinct flavor. When I went this past time, the inside looked pretty much the same ( based on my bad/faulty memory). The patio was different bc one side is completely covered, and I noticed a pulldown screen and projector overhead. The menu seemed a bit different this time. No more meatball appetizer unfortunately. Our server was nice and attentive (this time and last). The food: - Spicy Caesar (Romaine, home-made spicy Caesar dressing, home-made croutons, parmesan shavings, cracked black pepper and salami crisps): good stuff. Not really a healthy salad but a tasty one. The croutons are nice and light (not unpleasantly crunchy). The dressing has a nice little kick to it. I'd recommend. - Helena pizza (House-made Italian sausage, salami, pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, pepperoncini, and Parmesan): the pizza crust here is the best in the greater Sacramento area. Hands down. It's so wonderfully light and chewy. I wish they'd use a bit more sauce on their pizzas as they eat a bit dry. And, I think some extra sauce would balance the saltiness of the toppings as well (and, the pizza does eat a bit too salty for my tastes). - Classic Pepperoni pizza (Pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese): similar experience as the Helena: stellar crust, not enough sauce, and a bit too salty. - Beer: they have a half dozen or so local brews on tap as well as a larger selection of cans/bottles, which include both local and macro brews. Thumbs up. Overall, this is a good pizza place that's worth checking out. I'm only knocking a star off bc the balance of sauce and toppings on the pizza was a bit off. But, I'd still go back!
