Bar review- yes they have a bar. We entered on the side closest to the pho restaurant which is the entrance to the bar. What called us in was the pool tables. Once speaking with the bartender he told us the insides were just renovated- fresh paint, new booths, new tvs. They have pool tables, virtual golf machine, basketball machine. The location worked well for its sports bar pizza shop vibe. The server seemed to be attentive and gave us suggestions that were helpful in making decisions on what to order. I was excited to have Chicago deep dish pizza that I have been craving but was sadly disappointed. The pizza had the appearance of a deep dish but lacked the depth of flavor or texture. Romano's has always been my hands down #1 pizza choice in SoCal but 2 of the past 3 times I've visited the Alessandro location they haven't lived up to that rating. They must have changed ingredients because something is just off in the taste and it's disappointing because I've been eating here for 20+ years. It's still good but just not "the best pizza" any longer IMO. read more

Worst experience ever. We are dining in and placed our order at 6pm. We wait and wait, 40 mins go by and our pizza has not arrived. I asked the server and they say they will check. Another 10 mins ago by and nothing. Finally server comes back and they say something along the lines that they had an accident or something in the kitchen and that our pizza has not been done. Mean while I see other parties getting their pizzas. Then they tells us that they can make our pizza and it will be another 30 mins. Came here for the deep dish pizza but saw the Cheeseburger being served to the table next to us so had to order it. One of the best burgers I've had in a looonnnggg time!!!! Highly recommend it. Also the Antipasto salad was delicious, love, love the bruschetta wrapped in the cheese on the salad and I love how they roll the Mortadella on the salad. Also ordered deep dish pizza which could've used more sauce but the waiter did give us some sauce to take home with our leftover pizza. Long time customer 4+ years me and my family eat here 2-3 times a month. Recently they changed the recipe on the buffalo wing sauce. From what I gathered it seems they got a new chef and he's putting his own twist into the recipes. Please follow the recipes the regulars don't want change, also we understand the cost of doing business has gone up please don't ever sacrifice portion size or quality simply raise your prices we will gladly pay :) read more

I had been craving eggplant Parmesan for a couple of weeks so today 7/27/25 after Church, we went to Romano's on 285 Alessandro blvd in Riverside and was very disappointed! We ordered lasagna a side order of meatballs and eggplant Parmesan with garlic toast. After 45 minutes of waiting for our order we received a very skinny piece of lasagna with the side order of meatballs, eggplant Parmesan with a hamburger patty inside the eggplant and two pieces of cheese bread that we did not order being that they were so busy we took a bite of the cheese bread and it had absolutely no garlic butter flavor to it at all just white cheese. I was so looking forward to my eggplant Parmesan and I was very very disappointed the server was apologetic and said I'm sorry, but we're really busy in the back kitchen. read more

The food is not worth the lack in customer service. We sat for 30 minutes with no acknowledgment by a server. We made eye contact several times with a server working the section we were sitting at, but she was only focused on serving the large party behind us. Not sure if she was going to be our server to begin with but 30 minutes is too long of a wait to be acknowledged by a server in general. We've been dining at this establishment for years so it is extremely disappointing that the service has gotten this unprofessional. read more

We traveled from Lancaster ca to bring birthday boy to try something new. He didn't expect to try this delicious deep dish pizza. He said I've had one of those from dominos, Pizza Hut and we laughed. We said just wait and see. You can see the expression on his face. It was super delicious, soft, fresh pizza. Our very fav. We are looking to visit again. This pizza was size large, the breadsticks were a good appetizer it hit the spot before the meal. Really nice atmosphere and cool spot. All three times we had a long wait, over 30 minutes, to be seated (even with empty tables available), a long wait to get service, a long wait to be serviced. Solid four. Was in town and went a few times. Love the bar area and the trivia players. Keeps you coming back for more. Had the personal pan thin crust. Pretty good. Some of the better pizza in area in my opinion. Other meal I had was angel hair pasta with meatballs This is what needs help. You're an Italian place...pasta with no sauce and chucks of tomato's? Meatballs were baseball hard and burnt. I think with a little kitchen improvement this place could be better. Doesn't seem to bother anyone. Packed both times there. Come for the trivia, cold beer, decent bartenders but skip the meatballs and pasta dish's. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! When we moved here 5 years ago it was one of the first places we visited and now it's literally a place we go multiple times a month. For a weekday work lunch, family dinners, date nights, happy hours, everything. We love the restaurant side but even the bar side is fun for those adults only hangs. I've had the calzones, sissy pizzas, deep dish pizzas, so many apps, and tons of beers. Some of our favs are: the Chicago Fire (sissy), Fire in the Hole (no longer on the menu but they'll still make it), secret menu Cheese Curds, and even the kids Mac & Cheese is top notch. pizza is fantastic.Their app is a scam though. better to call directly or order through their website otherwise you get a fee that is about double the tax for the privilege of using their app. It's labeled fee but doesn't say what it is but on !96 order it was about $8 plus the $8 tax.
