Apologies, I actually ate here a few weeks ago but it was so mediocre that just now when asked about Italian food in the area by a co-worker it sparked my memory of this forgettable establishment. The upside here, is it's extremely nice and clean... quite possibly due to lack of use... I know that's really not likely the case, just feeling snarky. Me and a buddy I drug along are quickly seated (he was a bit bummed he thought we were going to DeSoto Cheesesteak - see review). Our waitress was very nice and prompt, kept our drinks refilled etc... That's pretty much where the fun ends. My buddy is a big fan of piccata and ordered that. I love veal marsala, so I ordered that. The place smells pretty good and the diners all appeared happy so we were a bit excited by the relatively authentic items on the menu. What we got were utter disappointments. Sad, really sad. Veal piccata - typically the veal is scallopped (it wasn't) and a light, bright lemon/caper sauce would be poured over the veal / spaghetti (which I was not a fan of having spaghetti underneath the meat - nor was my friend). According to him, he could barely taste the lemon and what he did taste was likely out of a RealLemon squeeze bottle and not the fruit. He said the capers were nice... that was it. The capers were nice... the spaghetti was bland, the gravy lacked seasoning and the veal was overcooked. UGH. I felt horrible for dragging him here, I told him it's on me... Veal marsala - the only thing "marsala" about my dish was the name. To level set, marsala gravy should be made with well... MARSALA and this one was not unless you count waving the bottle over the pot for effect... I would also expect fresh portobellos and heavy cream, garlic, salt and pepper... I don't believe any of these made it anywhere in the vicinity of the restaurant let alone my 12 lunch. My veal was also not scallopped as I would expect. The 5 or 6 mushrooms on my plate were from a can/jar and if that stuff in there was herbs (parsley) they were dried and almost non-existent. I *heavily* seasoned my dish at the table after a handful of bites and it made it passable enough to eat (since I was hungry). Utterly lacked flavor; let alone anything that resembled a marsala. The lobster ravioli at Roma's is "The Bomb, Y'all! I was traveling around the Lancaster area today and spotted this little (family owned and ran) Italian Restaurant. Within seconds after being greeting I was seated at a table, had my drink and the waitress was discussing The Daily Special. Now Usually I am a Classics fettuccine Alfredo (with grilled chicken) or the traditional spaghetti with meat sauce type of dude...but the waitstaff vehemently suggested the lobster ravioli and Boy Am I Proud She Did! The meal was superb. It was so rich (in flavor) and It came with a tossed green salad and warm garlic bread. I think I may have found a new favorite plate and place all at the same place! I have lived here in Lancaster nears Roma's since 2002. Food is exceptional. Great for carry out or dine in. Family business and anxious to keep your business. Pizzas, pastas, cassaroles and subs all great. I highly recommend. An oasis among fast food. Tortellini Michaelangelo is my favorite. read more

YES! So glad we came here! Right off the bat, what we noticed was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The table had a high gloss finish that are notorious for being sticky. Not so here! Not even a single finger print! Now to the important part, the food. You could tell this is a place that has pride in what they put on your plate! It's family owned and operated and you can tell! We tried the NY Style Pizza, Chicken Murphy, Stuffed Shells, Lasagna & Chicken Alfredo. Every dish was excellent! The sauce was actually creamy (unlike the watery mess I've had at other places) and had this zing to it that true Italian food should! On top of that, my wife got a house side salad and the lettuce they used was beautiful! To wrap up, we ordered the Tiramisu. Perfect end to a perfect meal! It makes me so happy to find such a gem of a restaurant in Lancaster, TX! We will be back! read more

Roma's is a nice place to dine. I've always ordered take out but while I'm there I see how pleasant of a place it is. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and polite. My concern is when I order the Alfredo with chicken, I'm left wondering where is the taste? I've ordered this dish 3 times as it is one of my favorite Italian dishes. And all three times the dish has tasted bland. The fettuccine pasta is always perfect. The Alfredo sauce could use some more flavor. And the chicken. Well, I believe the dish could benefit if the chicken was grilled vs whatever it is they do. Other dishes I've had have bold tastes and I wished this dish did as well. read more

Real Italian food by real Italians love the tirimusu they serve a variety of dishes but the xl pizza keeps me coming back you get 2 for $25 good deal crust is amazing and the cheese is actually cheese great for carryout or a date night. Where do I start? Great service, the bread stays soft and chewy the entire time! The food was very satisfying. I got the sampler plate. The Alfredo was spectacular. The noodles weren't over cooked and gummy, just beyond Al dente, perfect consistency. The sauce for the lasagna and the chicken parm were excellent! Not too sweet not too acidic. Chicken was tender enough to cut with a fork. Had the garlic bread as an appetizer....... melts in your mouth! Over all fantastic experience and I already look forward to visiting again. read more

The food was pretty good my mom got me shrimp Alfredo and it was soupy but not in a bad way. I just really wish they would've put more fettuccine noodles. it was $16 and had like 20 noodles. Now if y'all make y'all own noodles ehhh I give it a pass but if they're just boiled noodles they aren't even expensive so you could put a few more. I absolutely love this place. I always get the Chicken Alfredo, it is my favorite. My oldest daughter always gets their chicken wings with the buffalo sauce, my youngest daughter always gets her pepperoni pizza. The workers are always nice, nice family owned business in Lancaster. I have no idea how anyone could, in their right mind, find a $26 dinner for three, appetizers, mains, and dessert, "pricey". The food is excellent. This Lancaster pizzeria redeems all the bad ones in Dallas and about by a huge margin. I am loving the sauces which are more or less authentic (sans the carbonara which is made with cream and not eggs), the pizzas are huge and tasty (and have a great crust), the salads are well made, and the staff is great. If there would be one nit to pick it'd be the location and facade which seems to scare some people away. But inside it's one of the very rare five-star experiences in Dallas county. read more

Worst service ever. I order two shrimp Alfredo's one add chicken. My total was $29. The portions were small and I was even shortened on my shrimp due to me adding chicken. I was charged full price for a shrimp Alfredo but because I added chicken I could only get 3 shrimp instead of the 6 that were supposed to come with the order. The shrimp Alfredo is $12 plus $2 to add chicken so my total should have been $26 yet I get to the restaurant and my order is now $30. Instead of the manager fixing my order the correct way they both argued with me that this is how they operate and that I can't call corporate because it is family owned. I will never spend my money here again and the quality of food is not worth the price for the portions read more

We moved to the area about a year ago and immediately found an extreme lack of Italian food. This was quickly remedied by finding Roma's. I was worried that the only source of Italian food might entice the restaurant to not have to work so hard, but these fears were quickly addressed on our first visit. We eat both dine-in (friendly staff!) and take-out (no mistakes so far!). The food is quite good and the whole family enjoys that it's not "chain food". They have an extensive menu sure to have something for everyone. About our only frustration is that they're closed on Mondays - how dare they stop making great food one day a week!??!?! read more

I've been looking for 3 years for decent Italian food near Oak Cliff, and I finally found it in Roma's Italian Restaurant in Lancaster. Only a 15 minute drive from the Red Bird area, and totally worth it. We've been there half a dozen times now and are never disappointed with the excellent food quality, the friendly service, pleasant ambiance and very reasonable prices. I recommend the chicken parm: huge portion, always fried to perfection, and unlike so many other places, tender and easy to cut with a fork. The sauce is perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Try the Antipasto Salad, featuring meat and cheese pinwheels and delicious red house dressing. My dad always gets the eggplant parmesan, and says that it's the best he's ever had. I don't even like eggplant parm but I would eat theirs any day. Each meal comes with huge fluffy garlic rolls, but if you want more bread, I recommend the Garlic Bread. It's more of a baguette-style bread, cut in half with butter and garlic and marinara sauce on the side. But the pièce de résistance is the Tiramisu; it's easily the best I've ever had. Take my advice, though, and get it to go. It's best when it's warmed up a little bit to room temperature. read more
