I always order from here when at work. This is one of my favorite pizzas in Dallas. The flavor of their pizza is amazing. Their Chicken Caesar salad is the bomb.com, the chicken is cooked perfectly and super flavorful. The owner is so friendly and kind. I would definitely keep coming back. read more

At first site, the place can look sketchy depending on who you are but as we all know. The hole in the wall places are usually very good. This place is easily one of those experiences. I have super picky kids and they loved it here. We ordered two cheese pizza slices, fettuccini Alfredo, and one pepperoni and jalapeño slice, garden salad and drink meal. My four year old loved the fettuccini Alfredo with garlic knots. My picky autistic son who only eats certain pizzas loved the cheese pizza and crust. And my other son loved the salad! The salad?! I was shocked. He never eats or tries salad. I guess it was the vibe of the place. Lol Next time we are in town, we will definitely stop by. Lots of folks were picking up food so maybe that's the way to go since the restaurant isn't exactly beautiful but the food was yummy. read more

The guys at this joint are great and they make a hell of a pie. I usually go in and get 2 slices. They always greet me and know my order. They know when it's been a while since I've been there as well. The slices are some of the best I've had in the Dallas area. The place is old school inside. Very nice. read more

While visiting friends in Dallas, they mentioned ordering from "Italia Express"... after looking at this location's menu, we picked out what we wanted and decided to place a door dash order. As our friends went to order, they realized that they usually order from an "Italia Express" in Cedar Hills... which is actually called "Mo's Italia Express." BUT since we decided to order subs, (which the Mo's Italia Express didn't have) we went through with ordering here. Delivery was estimated about an hour and it came in the expected time. Unfortunately, the quality/quantity was lacking. My husband and I both ordered a chicken parm sub and we got a 3 meat sub for our 3 little kids to split. I think the subs are listed as a "foot long." Each of our chicken parm subs only had 2 chicken tenders on them... literally one tender on each 1/2 of the sub. It was then topped with some mozz cheese and a small 2oz container of marinara on the side. (See photo) It was very disappointing. The kid's sub was equally as disappointing. It contained one slice-thick layer of ham, one slice-thick layer of Turkey and one slice-thick layer of salami. It was the thinnest sub I have ever seen. I also ordered it without onions and it came with onions. (See photo). What's a shame is that the food actually tasted good... it just wasn't enough for what we paid for it. Our friend's ordered 2 pasta dishes. They said they were good. Next time we'll go with the Mo's Italia Express. read more

I got the chicken pesto sandwich and it's honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I would take a bullet for this sandwich. If I was getting married, instead of a bouquet toss, I'd toss this sandwich. If I wasn't sitting next to a cop right now, I'd bum rush these men and have them make me more of these sandwiches. So maybe not the nicest looking place or neighborhood, but the food and the prices are great! Probably best to get takeout. Generous portions with plenty of homemade sauces and plenty of meat. The small toasted garlic buns were a nice surprise and paired with the food perfectly. The food came quickly, was freshly prepared and hot...AND exactly what we ordered. If you want great Italian food, fresh, and for a reasonable price, this is definitely the place to get it. read more

I selected the Continental Ave Italia Express because it's where my boss always goes and it's supposed to be good. I ordered several pizzas for our staff lunch, including two X-large traditional pizza's with ONE topping each. Cost: $13.99 for each pizza, plus $3 for each topping, total $6 for the toppings on two pizzas. Doing the math, which was clearly seen on my receipt, the cost for both pizzas with ONE topping each was to be $16.99 ($13.99+$3.00 each). The total for those two pizzas was $33.98 before tax. A short time after I received confirmation of my online order, I received another email stating that the restaurant charged an addition $3 to my order. Three dollars isn't much but I called to find out why I was charged additonal money when I didn't order anything else. I was told that they never charged me for one of the toppings, which was absolutely not true. It was clear as day on the receipt: Traditional Pizza * X-Large (+ $13.99) * Toppings (+ $3.00) "PEPPERONI TOPPING" $16.99 $27.98 (13.99x2) $6.00 (3.00x2) $33.98 I kept getting moved around from person to person until one person finally said as he was calculating it up on his cash register it showed that they didn't charge me the three dollars. Which makes absolutely no sense when the receipt clearly showed that it did. Long story short, if they are going to try and cheat people even with an amount as small as $3, can you imagine what they do all day long to unsuspecting folks that trust who their doing business with enough not to check their receipts? Needless to say, I will not be ordering from them again. Customer service is key and if you're going to cheat your customers even in the smallest way, then you don't deserve the business. read more

Respectfully......what in the EFF is this? It's supposed to be a chicken parm sub. It's literally a cold, barely toasted piece of bread with MAYBE 2oz of chicken and barely any cheese. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! They also didn't give us silverware for our pasta, and all of the food is extremely bland. There goes more hard earned money wasted money on food that looked absolutely nothing like the picture. Do better. read more

Got the 20 inch pizza; it was banging. I'm a big guy and I could only eat 3 slices when I normally kill a dominos pizza. I wouldn't say it's New York style but definitely east cost style. read more

Ordered lasagna with meatballs and lasagna with cheese. He was not satisfied with the lasagna with meatballs and wished that he would have just had an option of lasagna with meat sauce (wasn't available on uber eats). My cheese lasagna was great. The flavor was spot on with flavorful sauce and a good amount of cheese. The strips of pasta were a little thin which was slightly strange. I'd ordered from this restaurant again, however, because quality and value were both great. read more

I'm kind of under the impression that the person that used to own Roma Express in downtown now owns this place. I boycotted them once after taking hours to get a pizza delivered. I have ordered from Itialia Express a couple of times without fail. Then I wanted a supreme pizza one evening that was delivered timely, but it was pepperoni only. Fast forward a few weeks later and I wanted a supreme pizza (again). About an hour and a half later I had to call. The guy kind of yelled and said his driver was stuck in traffic. I really like the pizza here. Good yeast crust, and ingredients. I like the plain cheese pizza a lot, and another combination someone I knew came up with - pineapple, onion and jalapeno. I'm from NYC and this came closer to NY pizza than most. I tried some other items they offer, salad, and a dish I don't remember, a dessert. Wasn't excited about any of these. It's about the pizza here. In addition, I work in the design district and they deliver. An extra large with 3 toppings was $20 total. Not bad, plenty for 3 people. read more

Ordered: slice of pizza, garlic knots, Stromboli, spaghetti, Caesar salad and lasagna! Pizza was SO GOOD- literally if you're looking for NYC style pizza, this is it! (5stars) I gave it a 4 star because the garlic knots were good; but not amazing, the Stromboli wasn't my favorite. Salad was yummy! Fiat time visiting this establishment , they have a mask required to enter at the door, but as soon as I parked a guys comes out not wearing his mask, he starts smoking I think ok , I order my food and I see him coming back in still no mask, then he goes to the kitchen not wash his hands , not wearing a mask and starts handling food I was going to eat my food there but I decided to just take it to go.. this would be my first and last time buying food here read more

The pizza, stromboi, and calzone are good, but for my money the roast beef sandwich at $5.50 is tough to top (pictured). Generous amounts of beef, piled high on Italian bread properly saturated with grease and sautéed onion residue combine to form a masterpiece. I am certain this sandwich is a cardiologist's dream, sure to keep local physician's clientele streaming in, but if so inclined it is also possible to do the right thing. Several salads are available including Garden, Ceasar, Chicken, Italian and Greek. They all look good from a distance but I have no firsthand knowledge on how they taste. I usually gravitate toward the artery blockers on the menu. Quite reasonable, the menu boasts huge sandwiches and subs for less than ten bucks. 18" pizzas can be had for $11.95. "Designer" pies in the extra large variety will require you to part with $18.75. Some of the toppings you can find here but not at Pizza Hut include anchovies, gorgonzola & feta cheese, egg plant and artichoke hearts. The appetizers-as-a-meal garlic rolls (six for $2) are awesome. Italia Express also has a reasonable catering menu if you need to make amends with your colleagues at work, reward your staff, or accrue brownie points. Three extra large designer pizzas can be had for fifty bucks (feeds ten). Pasta for ten can be had forty dollars. Subs for ten folks are available for even less scratch. While visiting you can glance out the window and witness firsthand construction of Dallas' "Margaret Hunt Hill Signature Bridge". At the current rate, construction should be complete in your lifetime provided you are less than forty and in good health. Only in Dallas can taxpayers be talked into paying millions for a bridge... but not something like Cowboys Stadium which has the potential to eventually generate revenue. I digress. The monstrosity is only a stones throw from the tiny strip mall in which Italia resides. This site may be one of the few places in the world where you can marvel at how little $120 million buys while at the same time marveling at just how much food can still be had for six bucks. In my opinion the city would have been better served buying all of its citizens a roast beef sandwich and using the hundred million plus in change to patch potholes. I used to tag the project "the bridge to nowhere", but at least now I can find one legitimate reason to cross it. read more

This is my new favorite pizza place in Dallas. The food is consistently delicious and fresh tasting. My favorite is the Gina Marlin which is loaded with chicken, delicately flavored white sauce and fresh basil. The crust is perfect not too thick or too thin. Just had the margarita pizza which was very good as well. The chef asked us if he could add pesto sauce to it and can I just say it was fantastic! The staff is very friendly too. We love that they deliver to our favorite brewery Texas ale project too. read more

The special steak sub was amazing, the cheese with the mushroom combo and then the seasoned meat. The tiny sauce in the cup was different and added a different flavor to the sub. The Italian sub had a really good sauce on it that made it different from a sandwich at home. Definitely will be back to try many other items read more

Came in last night looking for a bite to eat and was not disappointed. I'm pretty sure i got a mushroom, chicken, and spinach calzone which was sooo good. The employees inside were so kind and helpful! Unfortunately, we got there a little too late before i could get my hands on any pasta ... but that was my fault not the restaurants. This place is GREAT. Could not believe the portion sizes and low prices here, and the food actually is delicious. I got a slice, a salad, and a soda for like $8. Would recommend getting it to go and eating your hot awesomeness elsewhere, because there aren't many tables and the ambiance is strip-mallish. read more

Says they're open on Saturdays! The lie detector test determines that was a LIE!! Pizza is trash, pasta is ok. I came here a few times. The calzone was good. Pizza was greasy with no flavor. Stay away from pizza...Well the thin crust was trash maybe the others are not bad. Idk see for yourself. read more

I asked how much longer the delivery would be when i was told 30 minutes. The owner said "s**t happens sorry it's at least an hour late. No idea where the driver is so, that's all i got" and hung up on us. I am floored he hung up on a paying customer. Do not order from here, they're awful. read more

We started with the arugula salad with bresaola dressed with lemon - super refreshing - paired with the arancini. The bread dipped in the sauce was insane: perfectly crisp on the outside, with rich, flavorful rice inside. We shared the triangoli ravioli stuffed with ricotta and topped with mushroom, hazelnut, and parmesan, and it was incredible. The hazelnut added the perfect crunch and nutty depth. Then came the tagliatelle with wagyu bolognese--perfectly balanced, rich, and made even better with clearly homemade pasta. We finished savory dishes with the veal saltimbocca, and I swear it made me feel like I was sitting in Rome. The sauce was incredible, and the sage really brought everything together. But the true showstoppers? Dessert. My Italian grandma said the cannolo was the best she's ever had - and that says everything. Light, crisp, and not overly sweet. Then the chocolate dessert with olive oil and sea salt... I went in for two bites and somehow finished the entire thing without realizing. Easily the best chocolate dessert I've ever had. This place is out of this world. Would order all of these dishes again. In a city full of restaurants, this is one I will come back to every single time I'm in Dallas. Absolutely 5 stars. Brava.
