There are a lot of negative reviews on here, but they are awhile ago and this place has apparently improved because our pizza was delicious. We weren't sure what to expect from a stuffed pizza, but it arrived with a top layer of crust in the entire thing. Honestly the crust was amazing, the dipping sauce wasn't great but we didn't need it, the crust was soft and delicious. The filling was also really good, didn't feel undercooked or burnt, nice flavors. The middle of the pizza got a little soggy, but the flavor was so good I didn't mind. I gave them 3 stars due to bad and rude customer service. The blonde lady with tattoos has the worst attitude ever. I stopped going here because of the bad customer service but I really like this place. We eat pizza twice a week and this was our go to spot. She didn't listen and they charged me 3% for using my card which is fine but as a cashier it is her responsibility to advise the consumer that it would be a 3% charge if you use your card. Her response and another gentleman with a skull cap on stated its right here but I was not in front of the little sign they have posted. read more

This doesn't even deserve one star however, for the sake of the review I had to select at least one. So my husband ordered Pizza from Roma's Pizza in Augusta, Ga and he brings it home. I took a slice out of the box only to be disgusted with a piece of hair in my slice. We live 20 min away, my husband is tired as he just got off work. When he called they wanted him to bring the pizza back with the box and they would replace the pizza but we could not get our money back/refund. The owner states "it's company policy that they don't refund the money they'll replace the pizza. Really?! Why would I risk the chance of replacing the pizza with another, who knows what else we would find!??? However, needless to say my husband went back with the box and the pizza as they requested (because it's "company policy" that they also get the product and packaging back) to get another one. This was one costly pizza. Lesson learned!!! and we can promise that this will never occur again with Roma's Pizza. This would actually be the second time there was a concern with this restaurant. The first time was last year when we gave our order and sat 45 min to an hour in the restaurant, the staff were rude and then we find out they forgot our order so we hadn't returned since then until today. The pizza was OK. Not enough sauce as you could barely taste it. My biggest complaint is the guy who was bringing the pizzas out to the tables. Every time he was headed back to the kitchen he had to pull his pants back up because he was wearing them so loose. That is OK for the streets I guess but not working in a restaurant. He also was wiping the sweat from his forehead with his hand and then would go pick up another pizza and deliver it without washing his hands first. Sanitation does not seem to be a problem with this restaurant as they don't appear to really care about it considering they allow saggy pants and sweaty hands. read more

I ordered the stuffed Pizza. Mind you, I am a Chicagoland pizza person. There a stuffed pizza is a thick cheesy pie with the ingredients stuffed inside.-- inside 1.5 in of cheese. Not worth it. The service is horrible. When ordering the cashier seemed less than thrilled to get our order. 30 minutes later my husband went to see if our pizza was almost done (seeing how there was only 1 other table besides us). They were short with him and seemed aggravated. 10 later (40 whole minutes) we finally got our pizza. The waitress brought it to the table without saying a single word and turned around and started dancing and singing back to the front. She was so tuned out that she didn't even hear my husband yell trying to get her attention because she forgot to bring plates. Right before we were ready to leave we needed refills and they told us it would take 15 minutes to make some. They were completely rude the entire time. Look, I know I am not in the NYC area, so I have changed my expectations accordingly(I think). That being said, pizza, that is, NY-style pizza, is holy ground. I don't make fun of Pizza Hut or Domino's or whatever, because like little kids picking their nose, they just don't know what they are doing, and I am ok watching them do what they do with a mixture of pity and a bit of a giggle. But Roma's is trying to be NY style pizza. And so my expectations are maybe not as low as I have set them for other places around here. So, now that we've established my expectations are medium-high I'll say this: Roma's did not entirely disappoint. It was very busy when I came in, and I placed an order and waited to take out. I didn't have to wait overly long for my slices. The girl at the register was friendly, no issues there. The price was appropriate for what I got, no issues there. The decor/cleanliness was appropriate, no issues there. The food. Ahhh...the food. The pizza was not bad. Not good compared to real NY pizza. But definitely better than almost anything you can get around Augusta. I would say it's the 2nd best pizza after Crazy Turk's. I also got a salad, which was quite tasty, and fresh. Overall, a good experience, and Roma's is a place worthy of checking out. I will probably stick to pizza from Crazy Turk's, but Roma's has so many other options, I can totally see myself trying the subs or whatever, and seeing what they are like. read more

Slow/Poor customer service. A customer shouldn't have to wait in line for 15 minutes when they are just getting a slice of pizza. Also I realize the attendant was busy taking the order of some lady but it is appropriate (when someone doesn't know what they want and are holding up the line) to say something like "it seems like you need a few more minutes. How about I take these other peoples orders while you think about ". Maybe next time I can rate this place on there actual food. read more

Well here I go again, I hate giving bad reviews, as I know how much a business relies on reviews and word of mouth but this one got me. Let me preface this that I like John the owner if he still is the owner and i still think that a fresh pie out of the oven at Roma's is some of the best pizza in the CSRA. Here comes the But. I stopped in last night for a slice of cheese pizza and a drink. The girl taking my order was on her cell phone and seemed to care less that i was there. I ordered a slice of cheese to go and a large drink. Here's where I get irritated, the girl doesn't say we only have one size but that's ok, she hands me this drink cup, which I get is refillable but I'm taking this to go. I proceed to look at the menu and see $2.19 for a 22oz drink, only size on the menu. Ok it is what it is, I look at the cup thinking no way this is 22oz. I fill it and a few minutes later I get my slice. Roma's slices are usually a good NY PIZZA SIZE Slice. This was a dominos size slice cut in half, lol. I eat it with stale crust but still tasty. I Bring the cup home and fill a measuring cup with water to confirm. My thoughts. The cup is only 16oz. Please be honest with your customers and hire staff that wants to represent your business. Is 6 oz of a drink a big deal, probably not, but honesty is. read more

If you love NY pizza this is definitely the place to go in Augusta! I've had the real thing and this is the closest that Augusta has to NY pizza. I've been ordering from this place since 2007 and we eat there pretty regularly. However, the only time that the service is good and the employees aren't rude and messing around is when the owner is there. They are known for their giant pizza, and it's huge, we've gotten it for parties. I've called to order it a few times and had been told by whoever was working that "they didn't have dough for it" when I spoke to the owner he said that they were always able to make the pizza, which really made me mad. If you plan to order this pizza make sure you call a day or to ahead so they have no excuse. Also, if you are going to call in an order for pick up be prepared to be placed on hold for so long that you will most likely end up hanging up and calling again and the pizza probably won't be ready on time. The only reason we still go back there is because we love the pizza. If the employees would get their act together and their attitudes in check it would be a terrific place to go. read more

I recently moved near Romas Pizza, since moving to this area I try to eat at many of nearby restaurants. I was actually wondering if the restaurant was still open business. There were only two employees working. There was three groups dining in, and I was the fourth in line for a to-go order. While waiting a few more people came in to pick-up phone orders. The business was steady and the two guys working were doing their best. The dining area needed cleaning. With that said, how was the pizza. Very good! Very upset came here to dine in with my husband and we tried ordering large 1 topping pizza for $13 but we was told that's only take out special. For the same thing is $21 if we dine in which take care of 2 drinks. That's $8 more minus $4 for two drinks we still paying $4 extra just to dine in that's ridiculous. This is a surprisingly good slice of NY style pizza, for this area. They tend to have quite a few options available. I'm not a particular fan of their buffalo sauce though, as it's very watery. When we ordered slices cashier told us specialty slice would take 15 minutes so we chose pizza already on display window to get served sooner. 25 minutes later after complaining they gave us our slices. I went there last night with a high expectation. I ordered medium pizza with Bell pepper and Jalapeno as toppings. The toppings were not fresh and the Pizza was lousy and did not taste OK at all. All the seating tables were dirtiest of all and it is a very filthy place. Only One untrained employee to pick up all dirty plates, napkins...etc. I will not want to go there again.
