I can't believe this place has such a mediocre yelp review rating. Is it a conspiracy from rival pizza parlors?? This place is my hero whenever I'm driving my son nearby for basketball games and practices. The food is reliability good. Pizzas and pastas are great and prices are reasonable too. It's a throwback hole in the wall type of place that reminds me of back in the day in Brooklyn. I had the linguine with broccoli rabe and grilled chicken and it was superb. The portions were huge and there was so much chopped garlic and olive oil to create and maximize the flavor which I really appreciated. The margherita pies here are top class too. They aren't salty unlike most other pizza shops but taste great with the fresh cheese and basil. Romeos is a hidden gem and a bright side for trekking to the Manalapan area. read more

This was the worst pizza I've had in my entire life. Ordered an x-large cheese pizza and it was missing about 40% of the cheese that the same order at Vinnie's & Krispy Freehold gives you (see picture of Romeo's pie). The sauce is extremely sweet. The wings were actually really good but you have to pay $1 each for a semi-filled soufflé cup of blue cheese which would automatically come with any order of wings from any other place in the area, chain & independently owned. Last night I threw my husband a surprise birthday party. I originally ordered Walmart catering and when I went to go pick the food up, they did not make it. So I had no idea what I was feeding 25 ppl at a party that started in 30minutes. Convenience is what it has going for it... Cleanliness is not. This place always feels like there is a layer of grime everywhere. They constantly use the 4th booth for staging boxes, deliveries.,etc., so that only leaves 3 tables to eat-in and the space is very tight. In my opinion the pizza is "doughy" and the sauce too sweet. Sun 10/25/20 7pm That being said, 5 young men were behind the counter. 3 of whom had NO MASKS whatsoever; one was prepping pizza dough; one was packing food for delivery etc; one was performing kitchen duties and came briefly to the front. Two others had masks BELOW their NOSES; one young man handled and packed freshly made food; another handed it off to delivery persons and customers. When I'm done working a shift at the county jail I have to stop at Romeos and pick up at least one cheesesteak pizza slice, one rice ball, and one other specialty slice before heading home. Fast and friendly service!!! One specialty slice can be a meal for a normal person.. these suckers are huge and cheap!! $3 SPEC slice and $4 for the cheesesteak slice which is a steal. See my pics. The baked ziti was the worst I have ever seen. To help them get better, they should at least use some of the better store bought jar sauce. The better ones I have routinely bought have cheese mixed in, usually 2 or 3 types. Garlic might also help the ziti/pasta Bacos pizza is much better The chicken strips were over cooked, hard, dry and very thin. To improve the strips, try buying wegmans organic chicken tenderloins. One of my favorite pizza joints in Jersey. I prefer this location over the other two Romeo's. It's a small place in a strip mall off of 33. In all my years of going here, I've never had a bad pizza. Its the traditional big NYC slice- the kind you fold with your hands, the way pizza was meant to be eaten. The crust, cheese and sauce are all delicious. We even ordered the fried ravioli this time (not on the menu), and they whipped us up a batch. I'm going to keep coming back without question. read more

It's a casual pizza place that does mostly take-out & delivery. We were at nearby Sportika for a basketball tournament and had 90 min to grab dinner between games. This was the perfect spot! They have a large menu with everything from vegan wraps to the meat lovers Stromboli. The Eisenhower (spinach, eggplant, roasted peppers, balsamic vinegar) hot sub, Milan (ham, meatballs, sausage, pepperoni & mozzarella) Stromboli & white broccoli pizza were all delicious. I was gonna give two stars, but I really can't. Every time my family and I order from Romeo's, it's bad/wrong/cold. We've dined in, had delivery, and catering trays. They just seem to be consistently poor quality and service. I really can't recommend them to anyone until they revamp their menu and get new cooks/delivery people. The pizza is shameful. The pasta is dry and flavorless. The salads are almost always wilting or starting to turn brown. The dressings taste like the plastic cans they come out of. I really recommend going literally anywhere else if you're in the mood for mediocre Italian fare. Sorry, Romeo's. Your Juliet is in another castle... probably having decent pizza with someone else. I'm not one to come on here and make a negative review but damn! I ordered a vegan parm via the website and Moments later I got a text that my order was cancelled. A TEXT. We then called the place and the guy on the phone was incredibly nasty. I asked why was my order canceled he was giving me attitude that he's short staffed and that my $2 tip wasn't ok cause "it costs the driver more to get here" fuck off. No one tips delivery drivers astronomical amounts of money. Maybe try having adequate staff and try being nice to a potential new customer. Lost my business. Really really not good. The ingredients are not fresh and everything seems like it's been sitting for days. The service is so-so at best. This is the only place I've ever seen put red sauce on a buffalo chicken pizza. It was disgusting. There are many better pizza places in the area that I could name, but then you'd think I worked for one of them, so I won't bother. Stay away from this place, though. read more
