I needed a hospital bed for my husband before he came home from having surgery. Not only were they nice, they were available on a quick turnaround and well priced. The driver called and confirmed prior to delivery and pick up and was so helpful in setting up and explaining how to use the bed controls. I started using a CPAP machine a few months ago, and I have been extremely happy with Ron Andrews Medical. Getting used to a CPAP machine and figuring out which type of mask is best for me have been hard. I've already had at least a half dozen contacts with Ron Andrews. I've spoken with them on the phone multiple times. I've had a home visit to get things set up. I've had an appointment in their office with their respiratory therapist, who was patient, understanding, and very, very helpful as he showed me more about how the different types of masks work and how best to set everything up comfortably. Every time I've called or met with them, I have felt grateful to be working with such professional and caring people. They have answered all of my questions with patience and understanding, and when I've needed different supplies they've sent them out so quickly that everything has arrived in just a few days. If you are looking for a DME company, I could not recommend them more highly. read more

It is important to any reader to ignore my initial negative comments. Apparently, my phone had placed several return call voicemails into a 'Blocked' folder. The ensuing discourse with the company was at first heated, until I found the error which was totally my fault. I expressed sincere apologies for the events that occurred, and am embarrassed, but am now completely satisfied and working with the company. When I was ready to be discharged from hospital. We were unsuccessful at getting equipment through Apria. Someone recommended Ron Andrews medical. We called them on a Tuesday afternoon and they delivered on Wednesday morning. Everything was set up and handled perfectly. When it was time to have them picked up that was also handled. Exactly as it should've been with less than 24 hours notice. The people were extremely pleasant, efficient and reliable. read more

I was taking care of my friend's dad who was in hospice care in her home and these guys at Ron Andrews were Lifesavers!! They would always get stuff that we needed to take care of him deliver to us so fast!! On multiple occasions they went over and above for my friend's dad and to help us provide the best care for him all the way up until the end!! Not to mention the fact that they were really compassionate about our desire to make his last days comfortable ones and provide the most supportive care we could considering the situation. Their delivery guys would help me when I needed to move something heavy like a really big oxygen tank. There over the phone customer service staff would always try and help me problem solve equipment issues. Then after he passed they were really compassionate in the way they came to pick up and remove the equipment that we had in her home. read more

I can't say enough good things about Ron Andrews medical. They set me up with my first CPAP ever and made the experience so easy. Ryan Jones was terrific at each step, keeping me updated on how he worked with my insurance and on resupply. And Jason was great when he came to show me how the device worked. Could not have been better. And then, when I changed to a new insurance that Ron Andrews doesn't work with, Ryan was wildly helpful to give me everything I needed to work with a new provider. My only ask to improve would be to take my new insurance so I can keep working with them!! read more

update: The following afternoon, someone showed up with a concentrator. No call, nothIng. I made sure to let him know a responsible company already brought it. This company was contracted with Sutter hospice service for my mom. I called the hospice at about 7:30PM because the oxygen concentrator was not getting her enough O2. Also, one of the 2 back up canisters they sent was empty. After an over hour the "tech" from Ron Andrews called. He asked if we turned the machine on and off. Yes. Is air coming out? Yes, but it apparently it isn't enough oxygen and we have it all the way up. What do you want me to do? BRING ANOTHER CONCENTRATOR AND OXYGEN CANISTER! That is why I called. His response: the machine is fine. I'll call hospice. Then crickets. The hospice people found another (much more caring and responsive) company to deliver a concentrator and oxygen. If you have a choice, use someone else. I am going to strongly suggest the hospice change contractors. The Employee I had contact with had zero empathy or compassion. He made it very clear that his concern was his convenience, not her comfort. When you have a loved one in hospice care, this is not the company to count on!, read more

(updated from 1 to 3 stars on 9/30/21): Afterwards got a call from them, apologizing for the messed up paperwork and promised to expedite the processing, so I updated the review to 3 stars. Will provide further update when its done. Somehow, once it landed on the correct person they actually did take care of it and are working diligently on it, but prior to that, it was finger pointing between staff and billing, and nobody knew anything. Old review: Multiple times lost prescription, Doctor office sends cpap prescription, called Ron Andrews, 1st they don't have it (for the 3rd time), then asked them to search again, put you on hold, oh yes, we have it but its not in the system yet (a week ago). Then call back, no we don't have it, same thing. Make them go look for it, "oh yes, we have it, its just not in the system yet". Medical devices need to move on a scale of hours to days, not weeks to months (its been about a month, but 2 weeks were lost with the doctors office not doing its own job). Flabbergasted how bad the medical service is for needed devices. Now they said they would call me back with an update on the status (after calling this morning and going through that routine again, they found the paperwork but were going to investigate what's holding it up). Already missed their own deadline to call me back. Dr office recommended them as the better one in terms of service. I shudder to think how bad the others are. read more

THIS IS A VERY BAD COMPANY WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE. They do not return phone calls or emails. They say they don't do business in Richmond or Contra Costs County. They only have 1 Bi-PAP machine for sale, take it or leave it. Some other reviewers noted that since you essentially get no service (they mail your machine to you) you might as well buy online for half the price. The catch is that if you have Medicare or insurance, you can probably get the machine at no cost. That is why I went there, for pre-approval of my insurance. They didn't even call me back when I requested an appointment because my mask continually leaks. That makes me wonder what happens if you have a warranty issue? If you are paying out of pocket, get it online and save half, or more if it's on sale. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They have shady drivers. The delivery driver that delivered and set Up my dying brothers bed stole his pain meds. Then after he died the driver that came to pick up the equipment drove into our gate and knocked over our columns and ruined the entire thing and we are now stuck with half the bill to replace it because we've given up fighting their insurance company to pay! Worse than any company we have ever had to deal with in any situation including banks, telephone, garbage company and pg and e. Being a medical supply company, to boot, dealing with people's everyday lives, they are the worse. Non- caring, not compassionate and not even faking their lack of care, supplies never come, they don't answer their phones and if they do they continue to say I will check into this and get back to you and they NEVER do! These guys are an exceptional medical equipment company here in the SF Bay Area. They have a lot of great equipment, they come and deliver and set everything up for you. And they are quick, clean and accurate. Plus, we had Hadi and Rich, their Sr drivers and techs come, and I can't tell you how exceptional, professional and helpful they were to us. And they were exceptionally sensitive to our needs. And they were more than prompt, if that's even possible now-a-days! Shortly after calling, they scheduled with us to show up, called us before coming with windows of time, and then came right on time! Shoutout to Jason B, respiratory tech for Ron Andrews Medical Co for saving our family vacation. Our family always have an annual vacation to Tahoe that we look forward to in July. My wife had a very bad case of pneumonia and was put on oxygen to help with her breathing. She was hesitant to go due to the inconvenience of dragging her oxygen tank for travel and bringing her big oxygen concentrator for home use. We called Apria, her oxygen supplier, to ask about renting a portable oxygen concentrator and the one they have still weighs 20 pounds. My daughter, who is a resource nurse for Hospice By The Bay, recommended Ron Andrews. When I called, I was connected to Jason, who immediately helped me secure a really small Inogen POC that my wife was able to use with ease all week. Jason was extremely professional and so easy to talk to even if I had a lot of questions to ask. If only Ron Andrews will also let us rent this POC by the day, we will surely rent more often, but renting for a whole week when you only need it for the weekend, is kinda expensive for us. But all in all, thank you Ron Andrews and especially to Jason for your service. read more

I got my CPAP almost two weeks ago. Jason was amazing - very personable and very knowledgeable. He explained in detail how to use my CPAP and how to clean it. He had me try it on for a few minutes. My 90 year old mother was displaced from Santa Rosa due to the wildfires. She fled under mandatory evacuation order in the middle of the night, and was lucky enough to find refuge with my sister in Corte Madera. She is dependent on oxygen. Her provider in Santa Rosa has no oxygen and no concentrators, but was willing to transfer all information to a Marin county supplier so that my mother could have the oxygen that is essential. Ron Andrews Medical was unforgivably unhelpful, refusing to consider supplying my mother with oxygen for reasons that remain unclear, but probably have to do with billing Medicare. Our offer to pay privately was declined. My sister and I are physicians with wide circles of colleagues. We can be sure that everyone knows that Ron Andrews Medical refused to provide service to a victim of this horrible tragedy in Santa Rosa. read more

I've been waiting for over 2 weeks now for a shower bench and they keep giving me BS about how my dr hasn't given them everything they need or the insurance. But both my dr & my insurance has assured me they have met their requirements. Plus my insurance has even called them to make sure all requirements have been met and assured me I would of received the bench by today. But NOPE they have lied again to me, dr office and my insurance. It's been 23 days since I've been able to take a shower and these moron's don't care and are holding me hostage from being finally clean after a long recovery in the hospital. This place should be ashamed to be in this type of business to not help people. This place is a scam for insurance money and prey on people. Don't believe a thing they have to say! Liars and cheats. Don't expect to receive professional, ethical, competent or correct service from this company. They have an "aw shucks" mentality when they make mistakes that have potential to harm someone's health; they don't want to work hard to resolve complex problems (especially ones that they have created), and they run in the opposite direction from interactions that require real "problem resolution" at a professional level. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO PROVIDE COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL or ETHICAL SERVICE!!! This used to be a very reliable company with high quality service, but no more!!! I have had nothing less than a nightmare experience with them and I would NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT RELIABLE, COMPETENT, ETHICAL CARE WITH YOUR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT!!! First sign of mismanagement: They have had a lot of turnover in staff (not a good sign). This was apparent to me as an outsider and was confirmed by the manager who oversees the Company's Operations when I finally got a call back. He informed me that the problems I was having with two machines having been sent to me from Ron Andrews Medical with incorrect prescriptions and not functioning correctly (i.e. no QA or testing before they sent out) was attributed to the fact that their previous Respiratory Therapist quit without notice and that they had been using several "temps" to do the work of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapist they finally hired lacked professional acumen (i.e. making excuses for mistakes instead of fixing them, assigning blame to others, and bottom line: not able to get my CPAP machine running correctly). This business has been A NIGHTMARE to deal with !!!! The problem got worse, instead of better as I began to work with their "upper management". Instead of problem solving and going the distance to help a client, his "solution" was to give me the 800 number for ResMed and work directly with them. Guess what? ResMed doesn't work with "end users" of their equipment and could not solve my problem. In other words, even though they're going to bill my insurance company, they expect me to become my own Respiratory Therapist and do the job Ron Andrews Medical is supposed to be doing!!!! Ron Andrews Medical Co., Inc. should not be in business if they don't have safeguards or mechanisms in place to continue to provide competent, ethical and professional services by licensed and fully trained professionals when employees leave. THAT seems like an ethical and legal "no-brainer" to me. The prior Respiratory Therapist that I had worked with several years had been wonderful. She was competent, knew what she was doing, always pleasant to deal with, timely in addressing concerns or needs and I had absolutely no problems getting the support I needed. However, if Ron Andrews Medical Co., Inc. cannot deliver competent service, with adequately licensed and trained personnel on their staff to serve those of us who need life-saving medical equipment to breathe, then they maybe they should not be in business. read more

Amanda the respiratory therapist is wonderful. She is very responsive and knowledgible. The facility however is filthy and disorganized. I was very uncomfortable. It's hard to trust a company like that. But if Amanda went to work somewhere else I would follow her. She's that good! read more
