I'm so glad that I called Bayview Glass & Mirror for what I thought would be a simple job. But of course it's a 40 year old garden window frame which made nothing about it easy. I tend to like to know what's going to be done in detail, since for the most part I would do everything myself, but for glass and mirrors why not get an expert, right? The first job I had done was replacing a bathroom mirror, and he patiently dealt with all my questions (mostly via text) before we set a work date. Turns out if I had simply let them do what they would have done without me meddling it would have been even better (I kept an old 'j mold' for, yknow, reasons, but shouldn't have). At our 4-Plex in Oakland, we had a large broken window that needed to be replaced (6'x3') seated in an aluminum frame. Many businesses didn't take up the offer since it is a problem of residential vs. commercial service. Then, got a referral to Ed. I was very surprised this business doesn't have more great written reviews. Everything was done perfectly as one could expect for, communications, the replacement/job, and pricing. While he is a really busy guy (family company), we set up an easy to schedule timing and went ahead with the process. The final result was much better than I expected and he undoubtedly put in a lot of solid effort and attention into the replacement laminated glass panel. Also, fitting-wise was spot on.
