Some recent windy days pulled a loose ridge cap off the top of my roof. I called Ken at Roof.net and he scheduled a same-day estimate. Our roof was 20 years old so I called Roof.net in February 2017. Ken came out looked over the roof answered any questions we had and gave us a fair estimate. I called about a week ago to request an estimate for roof replacement from Roof.net. Unfortunately he didn't work on cedar shake shingles but he was willing to refer me to other roofers that he knew that did good work on my type of roofing. After a huge rainstorm back in October, my roof started leaking. I called up 3 of the best reviewed yelped roofing companies and this company was one of them. Ken (the owner) responded to my email quickly and we were able to set up a date for him to check out my roof. I actually decided to just have the roof replaced since it was quite old. Ken's quote was the same as the other two companies, but the main difference was that he was able to start and finish the project within a week. The other two companies wouldn't be able to start for at least 4-6+ weeks. Getting the actual roof replaced was made easy. I wasn't even home for most of it. All the supplies were shipped on a friday and placed on the roof. Then a team of roofers came the next morning and they were finished by the afternoon. Ken was great to work with. I first contacted Ken from Roof,net when I was purchasing my home and my home inspector mentioned that my roof was not in good shape. I requested an estimate from Ken and he promptly gave me a written estimate and even came to look at my roof first despite the fact that I told him I hadn't even bought the house yet. He was honest and told me the roof probably still had another 2 years or so left on it and I was able to use his estimate in negotiations with the seller. Ken gave me a very competitive price for upgraded architectural shingles and was able to schedule my roof replacement much sooner than I had anticipated. I got a new roof installed and was very concerned that it would be installed correctly. I had previous problems with leaks and wanted to find a roofer that I could rely on and trust. I did the research, but I was still cautious from my previous experiences. I have to say, the owner Ken was great. He was responsive to my concerns. The roof looks good. The gutter was damaged during the roof installation and Ken promptly address it and replaced the gutter that was damaged. He made sure personally that the gutter was installed correctly. I had a few companies come over my house. I had a leak coming from the roof. Each time somebody would come over they kept telling me that I needed to replace my entire roof. If there was a way to give 10 stars on all aspects of this project I would....really a perfect 10 performance....from pre-sales, performing the roof replacement to quality assurance and post project followup...Ken and his team just didn't meet the obligations but went so much further. Ken has assembled a quality team of roofing "artisans"....I had a roof of nearly 30 years and have been dreading this roof replacement for far too long, I am soo happy to have chosen Ken and his team, they really went so far beyond what was required in the contract. In the end, I had to have 15 sheets of wood replaced and despite all this work, they finished in just 4 hours....which is shocking to me but clearly a testament to how well his artisans work exceptionally well together....and even more shocking, they repaired a broken gutter, replaced additional rotted trim/wood and also fixed an area on my soffit where a raccoon had broken into the attic, repaired/repainted my furnace flue(looks like new now) and painted all the vents...at no cost...they just did it....and they still finished by noon! I was looking for quick and honest repair work to my roof from a recent storm which had blown off a 10x4ish area of shingles completely off. Last night I got a slightly panicked call from my wife while I was working, letting me know that a kitchen ceiling light fixture was leaking water all over the table below. My heart sank. After significant research and following up with various roofers, it was very clear to me that Ken was the roofer we should contact. The moment we talked with Ken and received his estimate, we knew he was honest and deeply cared about doing quality work. I wish I could share with you what the other fairly highly reviewed roofers suggested- unnecessary work that would not have dealt most directly with our leak issues.
