STEAK BISCUIT /GRAVY & scrambled with cheese

Great service & great food! Place is warm & welcoming, like grandma's kitchen. Food was so fresh & just downright delicious. I don't think I can ever eat chicken fried steak from a place like IHOP ever again.

Visiting town and went here for the first time. We will definitely be back. A few blocks away from the main square but worth the trip. Cozy, clean, friendly family establishment. Quick to seat and clean. Three of us this trip and I ordered the Rooster plate which consisted of an open biscuit with two sausage patties, two eggs and smothered in white gravy with Rooster rounds (hashbrowns). I got my rounds on the side. Wife got the pancake breakfast with 3 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon and rounds. My son ordered the chicken biscuit with rounds. My rooster plate had great flavor. A very nice mix of items. The wife's pancake breakfast was delicious. Thin and light pancakes. Eggs cooked perfectly too. My son's chicken biscuit was very good as well. Flaky and tasty. Overall a great little joint for breakfast. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Rooster Shack doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk in, you've got two dining room options that are very clean. I noticed a health score of 98. We were seated quickly and got our drinks quickly. The service was fast and courteous. I ordered the chicken biscuit with cheese and egg, and it was great. Chicken was perfectly fried and the biscuit was among the best I've had. Loved the place. They have tap-to-pay, making check-out very quick. We rode our e-bikes here from the Winding Waters RV Resort, and it was very easy to get here on mostly back roads.

Empty plates of mine and my daughter and she is a very picky eater and for her to clear her plate as well says a lot about the food here!

Food and service is always on point here. The Young adults that run the day to today here are also awesome people. Thanks you so much for being a part of Cartersville! I would recommend this place to everyone local and visiting.

The food here is amazing. Such a friendly family that runs this little diner. If you were familiar with the old Whistle Stop that was in Cartersville, the Rooster Shack is in the old location. All of the food I have had here is absolutely delicious. They are open 7-2 each day except Sunday when it is 8-2. Great addition to the breakfast and lunch scene in Cartersville. Best grits I have eaten in my life!!!! I love grits and these are the bomb!!

Two handsome guys with their meals.

Today my Son and myself went to the Rooster Shack for the 1st time and I have to say that we were very impressed with the size of our burgers. I got the Charm burger with cole slaw and he got the same with just chili and cheese. The burgers were cooked to perfection and were very tasty, Cooked on Texas toast was a delightful twist. The fries were a little undercooked is the reason for the 4 star and Im sure they would have made it better but I hate to ask once it's served. The place is basically a burger place but I understand their breakfast is fantastic so I will have to try them out for that! Do yourself a flavor and try this hidden gem a try. I think you will be happy you did!

Fried chicken biscuit is a must try! It was fantastic. Best I've ever had. The place doesn't look like much when you drive up, but don't let that scare you off. Very welcoming and comfortable environment with great service. Food was up fast. Very fresh and hot. Takes you back to simpler times with energetic young staff.

We let him know that our son has celiac disease and it turned out that Nathan also has celiac disease. Because of this he was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful in helping us navigate the menu and choose safe options for our son. Even better our son was able to connect with Nathan and swap stories about living gluten free which meant so much to us as parents. That personal connection truly made the experience special. The atmosphere is fantastic and feels like a true cellar tucked away in the basement giving it such a cool and unique vibe. It felt like a hidden gem and a really fun place to discover. I also had a gluten free apple cider that was made locally and it was hands down one of the best ciders I have ever had. Between the outstanding service the care shown for food allergies and the unique setting this was an unforgettable visit. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend The City Cellar and Loft to anyone especially families navigating celiac disease.

Our son has celiac disease, and Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and proactive, personally making sure everything was clearly communicated with the chefs so we felt completely comfortable and confident. The atmosphere was very relaxed yet attentive we never had to ask for a thing because Nick was always one step ahead and made sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, he took the time to recommend things to do while we're visiting, which was such a thoughtful touch. We don't live in town, but the downtown area is absolutely amazing, and after this experience, we can't wait to explore it more tomorrow in the daylight. And the food, hands down five stars across the board. We will absolutely be back when passing through, and if you're dining here, ask for Nick!

Didn't catch his name but he's been there 2-1/2 years he said. Only knock, had to remind him a couple of times to refill my water. They no longer leave carafes of water on the tables as a regular customer complained it was unsanitary. A shame. They should just wash the carafes after each use. Anyway... I ordered a burger with an extra patty. No bun, with cheese, onions and mushrooms as I recall. Here were the two oddities. The meal was served with a single patty and the second patty came out 5 minutes later. Made me think they forgot. Also, the 2 patties were different. One was cooked perfectly and moist. The second was cooked a bit more (but not terribly more) but was dry. The asparagus was fantastic. I do recommend though. Cool spot.

My wife ordered the n appetizer nachos for her meal, she couldn't finish them. They were huge, they did need some sort of a "wet" topping (queso, salsa, something). I had the double gonzo burger with Parmesan chips. If I had known the burgers were sure'nuff hand patties and thick, I would have only ordered the regular burger. I couldn't take a bite, had to remove a patty and eat it separately. It was cooked to the right temp, but it could use some seasoning. It was good, but just plain meat, no seasoning mixed in. We sat in the main dining area when something from the ceiling started dripping on us. In addition, the music is much too loud if you are trying to carry on a conversation. Very interesting memorabilia, but that is about the only selling point. Whoever the owner is appears to be giving a nod to the Jim Crow laws in a political way. The bathrooms show "Democrats only" and "Republicans only", and the whole vibe is pro Republican. Most of us have political opinions, but it seems very short sighted of this business to make it so blatant. We will never come back, and I've talked to a number of people who feel the same way. There are much better restaurants in the area whose owners don't interject politics into your dining experience.
