This place gets so crowded and loud during and after the OSU game. With over 15 TVs all tuned to college sports channels, the environment was electric. Surprisingly, we only waited about five minutes to get our seat. We waited for friends to join us after the game against Wisconsin, but they weren't able to make it. So, my wife and I decided to go ahead and order our food. Anna, our server was quick to take our order and attend to all of needs; drinks refilled and checking that we were okay. All of the food was made-to-order and delivered hot and delicious. Anna was very helpful to decide what level of heat each of us should consider. The irony of being here at Rooster's, to have chicken wings, in the first place was pretty amazing. The night before, on Friday, I was eating General Tso's Chicken that I'd had in our fridge for a couple of days. I should have just left it or held off eating it. As I took a big bite I chomped down on a hard chicken bone and SNAPPED one of my crowns off. Oh no! So now, here I am at Rooster's eating chicken. However, as I carefully ate small, careful bites of my BBQ wings and nacho chips and cheese, I tried to be aware that my smile had turned into a Halloween Jack O'Lantern grin. (See picture) But. I realized, as I looked around the room, nobody there really cared. I'd already called my dentist Friday night when it happened, and left a message. Just focus on enjoying the company of my beautiful wife, the games on the TVs and the hot, wonderful food, from which we could steal from each other's stash. My cheesy nachos were warm with a heat from the dipping and jalapeños. Every once in a while I would see my wife's hand reach over and grab some nachos. Then, I would swipe one or two of her potato skins or "onion feathers" (onion chips). Besides the good company, food and entertainment, we were discovered they had Coke fountain products. But the salad i got was only saved for the entire to go cup of Italian dressing and the chicken on top. I really wish they had wings like this in Central Florida! Roosters is your typical sports bar with better wings and better staff than Hooters or any other place. The wings are large and taste great. 10 wings here usually fills me up! They have a lot of different sauces. I like their garlic wings and the buffalo wings! Normally love coming here with the kids, but my most recent experience wasn't great. They were busy and it was dinner time, but no major sports events taking place and nothing local in Pickerington that evening that would normally draw more attention. Server was very brief welcoming us and getting our drink orders. Walked away before I could ask for appetizers. She brought back the beer and said the tap was acting up and the beer might not be good. I acknowledged and said I'll try it out. Beer was flat, so she brought another flat beer out almost immediately and I said we were about to go and I didn't want another one at that point. She got extremely rude. Didn't apologize for the wait or wing being spilled or flat beer. Promptly brought the check and boxes and didn't say a word. Manager came by and said sorry for the beer and it would be discounted off my bill. Explained the situation to him and let him know this wasn't the normal service we've been having for years here. He apologized and asked us to come back and give them another try. Got all of the orders right the first, no mistakes. The food is also really inexpensive and tasty. The chef salad was super good, nice and fresh, no wilted lettuce. The fried pickles and nest fries also delicious! I wasn't crazy about the Mac n' Cheese bites but they aren't bad. My only complaint was that I never got a refill on my water.
