The wings were dried out, a couple were like a half a wing. They were over cooked and not much meat. Don't know if they just sluffed off some crap 'cause it was a take out. But that is poor policy. Went twice this week for the awesome wings! NOT the service! Waited at least 15 minutes to get our first drink each visit, refills were in no hurry either. The group next to us ordered drinks after us but were served first. If you are in NO hurry and don't mind waiting on service, instead of service being waited on you, they have good traditional wings, fries and the teriyaki sauce is perfect. The second visit I should have stiffed, but instead gave 50% less gratuity than the first visit. Maybe it's because I'm from Buffalo home of the Buffalo wing but these are nothing in comparison. Back home even the non traditional sauces are amazing- Cajun, habanero, goldrush hot(honey mustard hot wing) The wings are tiny and Lots of mustard base sauces, nothing special. I've tried every flavor and most don't really stand out. If your looking for quantity it's ok. I like the rajun cajun and the gold or gargoyle. Also the rocky mountain oysters are not very good. I would go here with a group if I'm craving a honey mustard sauce but If you want better wings- Rockslide brewery and Old Chicagos also if you go to Old Chicagos get the DOUBLE DECKERONI™ PIZZA I don't even like peperoni that much but it is unbelievably good! Amazing wings, fries, fried mac n cheese and service. We walked in 20 minutes prior to closing and ordered 130 wings to go. Our waitress was outstanding!!! We have frequented this place many times since we moved here a year ago. (I am convinced my husband needs a 12 step program to help him recover from an addiction to their wings). We have had consistently amazing wings from this place. Their wings are far superior to anywhere in town (yes, even the new Buffalo Wild Wings in town.) Unfortunately, we have had pretty consistently poor service. Sometimes slow, not terribly pleasant, not very attentive. We seem to notice what looks like the owner kind of hovering around, but does not seem to ever greet or check on customers, or even smile for that matter. (Looks like he is babysitting staff, which can feel awkward for a guest sitting at the bar). The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. I am willing to look past the service and atmosphere since the food is so good. However, If they had a decent TV in the bar, we would probably be there every single Sunday for football and for hockey games too. Fortunately for our wallets, that's not the case. Yes, the wings are amazing. What people may not realize is that everything here is amazing. I've had pretty much every item they have to offer and they're all great. If you read other reviews then you may notice that the wings are non breaded and rather small, but if you're a wing person then you'll have no issues with that. It's all about the sauces and Roosters have a large selection of the best you'll every taste. Not a wing person? The burgers are top notch. The brisket is awesome. The tenders are light and fluffy. Great place! I was pleasantly surprised. I thought they mostly had wings, but they have a lot of other wonderful food. The burger was delicious! The fries are also one of the best I've had. This place used to be very good until they changed owners recently! After eating their recently I became very ill. Eating the hot wings was a MISTAKE! After washing off the sauce the chicken looked raw and uncooked! The new owner has no respect for the customers in his restaurant. As I waited patiently for a hour for a pick up order, he was cursing in front of a family with children. I also watched him give away alcoholic beverages to his staff while they were working! Bring back the old owner PLEASE!! Even a staff member complained about the new owner and how he is so cheap; yet he is giving away alcoholic beverages to his staff!! I have always been pleased with everything about this restaurant. The new location on the west end of town feels open and has plenty of space for large parties. Whenever I try a new wing place I always get something like a burger and then some wings. This way if my wings aren't good at least I have the burger. Well there was no need for that here. Their wings are fantastic! The burger was just ok, not their specialty. But the wings were perfect. Fries were good, onion strings left some opportunity. Let me tell you though, the five stars is coming from their incredible service and hard work. Those folks were running hard the entire time I was there. It was a packed house and they were busting it out. Matt(manager I believe) came buy to check on everyone multiple times and seamed to have a good report with the usuals. While we lived there, the service sucked. One time we placed our order, we were the only people in the restaurant, then a large group of guys walked in. We waited and waited. After 45 minutes and watching our waitress sit and have a meal with these men we decided we were never getting our food and left. I'm a firecracker and normally would have walked over there and given her a piece of my mind before leaving and never coming back. But I didn't, because that's how good the wings are! You'll put up with anything just to get your fingers on those babies. I was back in town in the fall of 2013 for business and hit up Roosters. They had a completely different staff and it was a much better experience, which is why I gave them 5 stars. So now, you can get their delicious wings and have great service. *It's also worth noting that their fries with fry sauce is pretty much the second best thing in the world besides Rooster's wings. I should have pay more attention to the name but the fact that yelp and urbanspoon categorize this as BBQ is simply ridiculous. This is a wing place, as in chicken wings. There is only one BBQ entree on the menu (brisket). If you don't have a "wing place" category please add it. It's an entire universe in itself, and not part of the BBQ realm. The staff is terrible and spends their time drinking and chatting with each other, at least you have to assume because there are no uniforms. The seats are destroyed and uncomfortable. In the booths you practically get probed by the broken springs in the bench seats. Be careful on the way to the bathroom, the floor is greasy and slick. Best wings I have ever had..anywhere. They are on the small side, which I like as they get crispier. Many amazing sauces, though cajun and tsunami are my favorites. The beer battered fries are amazing as well. The prices have gone up, the service can be hit or miss and I really wish they had more/bigger tv's to watch sporting events but the wings make up for those short comings. Roosters has become one of my favorite places to go out to eat. After hearing from a friend that he liked it, I thought I'd give it a try. The place is very clean and has a very comfortable atmosphere. I've been to Roosters several times over the past few months and have always gotten stellar service and, most importantly, excellent food. I usually go with an order of wings and depending on time of day, a cold beer. I highly recommend the Majestic sauce flavor, it's definitely my favorite. Very, very poor service! The so called "owners" (John & Paul) reasoning as to why my parties meal was an hour late was ridiculous. He said that tables that had shown up 30 mins after us were being served first due to "having to many Boneless Wings to prepare for other orders" and their tables must have ordered "burgers or something." We said we understand you guys are busy, but waiting for an hour is unacceptable, especially when every other table got served. After questioning this he told us "I don't do well with ultimatums, so have a good night." So we left without eating for the night....The ability this establishment has for operating a business, training & leading a staff is absolutely ZERO. Don't expect to receive much service from the wait staff, it is minimal service and when they do, expect an attitude. The cleanliness of the restaurant is like a second hand store, expect to sit on a ripped seat or put your arm in grease. Roosters in Clifton CO, has by far been the rudest costumer service I have ever endured. I highly recommend getting your wings and beer from another great restaurant such as Buffalo Wild Wings. Our party of 5 was very polite walking through the door and we chose to sit outside so we wouldn't bother anybody. You could definitely tell the waiter was in training and we planned on being respectful of that. We politely ordered our drinks and had decided to purchase 1 pitcher of beer to split between 3 of us, safely having a designated driver to take us home. My poor mother was completely humiliated. Apparently when we came though the door, their manager had apparently noticed that my mother was "inebriated", supposedly "stumbling" and "slurring". So instead of sending the manager out to refuse service to my mother, they send out the poor new waiter with only 2 mugs and the pitcher of beer. My mother politely questioned him on why they had thought that of her, and we were all backing her up. We even told them that we were planning on ordering at least 100 dollars is food and drinks and we had someone to drive us safely home, but they still refused. So we got up and quietly, walked out of there QUIETLY, and planned to go somewhere else.
