Wish there was an option to give them no stars. My boyfriend and I went to Roosters tonight (December 29th) and had a terrible experience. We sat down to a girl who wasn't even our waitress for the night telling us that they had no traditional wings left and only had boneless and offered 20% off our check. We decided to stay and a different girl, Ashley, came back 10 minutes later to take our order (reminding us that they only had boneless wings). We placed our order and sat and waited. Shortly after we got our drinks a party of two came in after us. They sat down near us and got offered traditional wings. We kept waiting for someone to say something to us about how there was now traditional wings available if we would like to get what we originally wanted. But that didn't happen. Instead a party of four that came in (again AFTER us) sat nearby and they also were offered traditional wings. By this point we were both upset and confused as to what was going on. We ended up getting our food and barely could enjoy it because of how upset we were. To top it all off. Once we got the check, there was no 20% off on our check. We had to ask our waitress for it. Once she came back we asked her why it was that all of a sudden they had traditional wings after we were told there wasn't any. She proceeds to say "Listen I just work here, I was told there wasn't traditional wings and then there were and then there wasn't again and now apparently we are running low on both boneless and traditional right now. It's been a very unexpectedly busy weekend." Very irritating that people AFTER us had the option for traditional and we didn't. This shouldn't even be a problem for a place that sells wings. Especially if they noticed on SATURDAY that they went through more wings than expected. To sum it all up,terrible experience and we won't be returning to that location. We are all just really sad and disappointed! We were really so excited to eat at roosters. We arrived about 12:45 .From the time we got there it was no good. Service was beyond slow we were never offered appetizers we had to request them we asked about the shot special and the response was awkward she said its up to bartender we asked what it was and she never even asked and we never did get to even know what they were.We got our appetizers they were great. We were talking amongst ourselves that we needed more ranch the waitress came out with ranch and stated she was eavesdropping on us but never asked if she could help us with anything else and our drinks were empty! It took about 30 minutes to get our kids meals which we ordered first thank goodness which they mentioned they did have to remake them as the first set was burnt that was appreciated then we at least knew why that took so long. We eventually got our food order after over an hour of waiting and it was cold!! In the end we were there to have a good time spend some money and stimulate our local businesses. We asked for the manager or owner . It took quit a while to get a response to that too and that was a sad response as well. If you want a great little sports bar this is the place. My wife and I came in on a Saturday night and were seated quickly and had some great service from Samantha. The food was good and the owner, try as he might, tried to get our game on the flat screen for us. The wings were hot and tasty. If you are not sure what flavor to get ask for some samples. Roosters are the best wings I've ever had, and I've try wings all across the U.S. The wings are fried to perfection, the sauces are unique, flavorful and delicious. Let's talk about the wing size. They are smaller than your typical wing joint, and that's a good thing. The crisp up better, and they aren't as fatty. Meaning, you can actually bite into it, without the skin separating from a disgusting layer of fat. If you've never heard of "fry sauce," be sure to order the fries and give it a try. When we lived in GJ we used to go there weekly. Last week, we made a trip to the area and of course had lunch there. It's under new ownership, the wings are the same and delicious. However, the restaurant itself is much, much cleaner and the service staff is far more attentive. All great improvements! read more

This is by far the best wings in town! I called in a order, would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. Arrived was packaged and ready to go by the time I paid my bill. Order taker was fast, friendly and efficient! Food was fantastic!! They even packaged all the necessary items inside Togo bag! Silverware, napkins, moist towelettes and condiments! Zero star if allowed. Wednesday night July 24th Party of four adults for son's 25th birthday dinner. Very short staffed. Waited quite awhile for waitstaff to come to our table. Ordered water and said we'd like to order beer after we had our water. She never came back to take the drinks order. When she did come back we just ordered food which took an hour to receive as we watched others ((bigger parties) who came in after us receive their food. They brought our fries ($4.50) and rabbit basket ($4.50) out one hour before our entrees. Didn't ask if we wanted them early which we did not. Asked for fresh fries with our dinner since the other was brought out one hour early (our waitstaff questioned that as well) They came with the meal (another $4.50, and missed opportunity for restaurant to comp to make up for poor service and be somewhat impressive.)Philly cheesesteak ($14) was inedible but no waitstaff to return it to. Listened to cook yelling the waitstaffs names repeatedly. Finally got one water refill as we were leaving. Take your $100 plus and go have an enjoyable birthday or otherwise meal somewhere else. If you ask for your wings extra crispy, you'll eat them however the cook feels like making them. Also one of their "hot wing" sauces has mustard in it. All their sauces are runny af as well. Not a fan in anyway. Tried in multiple times and have never been satisfied. read more

The wings were good, but a bit small. The new ownership has really turned this place around. I was greeted the moment I walked in the door from the bartender and was promptly attended to after I took my seat. The overall cleanliness of the bar and dining area was great. I was attended to very promptly and the staff seemed happy and enthusiastic. I got a carry out order from the location on Grand Ave. and I was told a certain time to pick up the wings and this was the time I showed up and it was 13 minutes later that my wings arrived to be carried out. The wings were of low quality meat (purple veins and fatty skin). Maybe they were rooster wings. The sauces tasted good but the wings were swimming in it making them more soggy. I only finished less than half my order so I felt cheated. I wanted to like this place since they are local, but buyer beware. read more

The best hot wings in town. Hands down ! My favorite is the Crystal Mountain..my husband who prefers a spicier taste chooses the Majestic. The Garlic Parmesan is a milder favorite , perfect for the kids however ; you will need to ask for it , as it's not on the menu. Now I consider myself somewhat of a wing fanatic and had to give it a try... now four years later and another restaurant open (this one, on Grand) I feel like this is a great place. Friendly people and what we really want awesome wings with awesome flavor. Like said before they rank from hot to not and all the details to help decide. Prices are so-so, with combos starting out at about 7 buck.. 10 wings and 2 sides not bad. But for 12.95 you get all you can eat wings and sides. Now.. these aren't your Hooters wings with all the hormones that make their 10 pack feed a family of five, but small crispy flavor morsels that will set your mouth ablaze with happiness and fire. My fav's are the Crystal Mountain, My favorite "Tsunami" (teriyaki and wasabi), Warlock, Cajun, Honey Mustard... and many more. There is a Uncle which is there hottest wing without a waiver, which I don't think they do anymore because my girlfriend and I ordered the "one not listed" and I was hoping to fill in the waiver.. well that didn't happen. But the wing was available and pretty hot. Now if you are a hot connoisseur, there is a difference between hot and tasty hot. These tasted TO ME like they were dipped in hot mace, fried, re-dipped and served. Just one set my mouth ablaze and gave my stomach a nice little cramp for about 10 min. Not bad considering I have eaten chili that hurt for days.. LITERALLY. Great place and would recommend to anyone looking for wings in this area to hit up FIRST (one in Clifton too). When I first ate here the price for it was $17 & now the price is $24. After they raised the prices. I no longer order the "all you can eat wings." So I have been wanting to try this location since the one in Clifton shut down. Man was I glad I did. New owners and same awesome wing flavors. We had warrior, warlock and mad bomber. All served hot and fresh. I have tried several wing restaurants and this place has the best sauces in my opinion. I love the mustard and garlic in the sauce. We had a great server and the manager/owner was very involved in the operation. I was glad I got brave and talked with him. He has the right idea and I hope to help this place grow. If you had a bad experience you need to go back and give it a second shot. I hope they continue to explore new menu items and try to bring in some fresh appetizers. Every year we drive through Grand Junction on our way to Aspen from California. We found Fly'n Roosters last year and really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. Came back again this year and wasn't disappointed. Kelsey was our waitress both times. Friendly and great service. Food is good and with large portions. Gave 4 stars because we wished their chicken wings were bigger so we could enjoy their tasty rubs and sauces. We definitely will be back next year! read more

Hadn't been here in quite a while; we were greeted and sat very quickly by a friendly server. She took our beverage orders. Upon delivering our drinks she took our dinner orders. About 10 minutes later she brought out a basket with several cups of ranch dipping sauces. She placed them on the metal table in the sun. This wouldn't be a concern except it was another 40+ minutes until we received our wings. My son (he's 17) once ate 47 wings here. I don't think I've ever had anything but wings. Great variety of styles,plenty of which aren't hot if that's your thing. My daughter's favorite is the teriyaki, which are really mild. If you can eat a lot the unlimited is the way to go. The salads are just average, as are most of the other sides. Service can get slow when it's busy (it usually is) but maybe that's just a way of keeping food costs down. It can also get pretty noisy. The view from the deck isn't great, (I'm being kind here) but at least they have a deck. Even though it's kind of bar like, it's a good place to take your kids. Yes some of the wings can be down right tiny, but I'm usually doing the all you eat thing so that's no biggie. Not a lot of beer on tap, but what they have is good. I'm definitely a fan. read more
