We called because we had a new disposal installed and then dishwasher did not drain. Ron was fantastic! We found a quarter sized hole in our sink drain pipe during our kitchen remodel. We first called our Home Warranty and they sent some idiot that quoted us $3000 to fix! WTF. I contacted Ron hoping to find a more affordable solution to our problem! He responded to my "request a quote" through yelp within 15 minutes after pressing send. He was at our house in an hour and quoted us about $600 to fix the pipe, but if we wanted to fix it ourselves he could give us some supplies for $60. Great service! I had a short inspection period for a home I purchased recently. I had another plumbing company come out for the inspection. They provided me with little information and briefly said my main sewer line under the house was worn and perhaps cracked. They then estimated it would be 10 grand for them to repair it, not including what would happen to the floor, cement etc. I desperately wanted a second opinion yet had very little time. I called Ron early Saturday morning. He quickly responded and met me at the house around noon. He walked me through the entire process, from both outside and inside the house. He then explained what he saw as he scoped the line under the home. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the pipe. I'm guessing the other company just wanted to make a quick buck off me. He came out on a Saturday and had our clogged toilet unclogged in about 10 minutes. He was friendly, quick and clean-all things you want in a plumber. AND, it only cost me $59! Other local companies quoted me between $200-$300 and said they would have to remove our toilet. We have definitely found our family plumber!! Had another plumbing company come out to find the clean out for the house. They could not locate one, but offer to charge us for one to get installed. Gave Ron a call and with in 30 minutes he was here. We had him help find the clean out for the house and with in 15 minutes he was able to locate it. Disappointed. Is definitely a bait and switch on the advertising. 59$ for 'what' drain clean out. Kitchen - ground level access they quoted $245. This is outrageous. As a builder, I know what the rates for various work should be. Keep looking - there is Custom Plumbing for $69 (75ft reel and hose flushing) and there is Anthony Plumbing for $55 (75ft reel, hose flush, and camera to discern any malformations). In our case, clogged the kitchen drain line before with ground strawberry head sludge that should have been easily accommodated with flushing. This time with one grapefruit rind that has never been an issue at other properties. Previously, The rooter plumber spent no more than an hour and charged a flat $50. There is absolutely no justification for the high quote that $59Rooter gave. Even if there were attic access involved - $245 is outrageous. Plus, in our case - it is time to 'visualize' the site of hang up - so can't beat Anthony Plumbing. AH read more

Ron continues to put conjecture into his reply of our experience. He was not interested in getting off the couch at ~6:00 on Friday night. He wanted to make an extra day's wage for his trouble and that was just too much for me. I'm a savvy home owner and know the drill. The other firm did not try to sell any thing extra though they did offer me additional services. Who really has their sewer line power washed? When I bought this house in 1982, I did have someone come out who said the line was collapsed but I had no interest in replacing the sewer line a week into new home ownership, that original sewer line is still going strong. I dug down to the "collapse" which was just a root about 1/2 in diameter right next to a giant cottonwood tree. I removed the tree a year later and never had another major issue in 40 years. Sorry Ron but your conjecture just does not ring true. I'm sorry you were ready for dinner that Friday evening but sometimes you just have to acknowledge your choices and move on. And no I'm not interested in changing my review for a free service contract... SOooooo... this morning I get an email from yelp that Ron has re-posted regarding my review, so I responded the above, this evening I got another email that ROn has retorted once again. So I look to see what he said. Ron has posted another page and half regarding my experience with another service even though he was not there. Facts are facts however, I did NOT have Ron do any work for me because I got it done for under a hundred bucks by a national company. I was pleased by their work quality, timeliness and disposition. Ron is now making "lawyer " threats toward me. If Ron would have left this alone the first time, by not calling to ask to remove my original post. My kitchen sink was badly clogged and backing up. Gross, I know! Sooo... I looked on my trusty Yelp app and found Ron and his $59 Rooter & Plumbing Service. Ron was available the next day and gave me a one hour window of when he would show up. They offered a flat rate for my kitchen sink issue. The next day, Ron showed up on time and got to work immediately. He was there for an hour or so and got the clog cleared out and even re-did the drain connection from the dishwasher because it should have been done in a way that allowed it to drain more effectively. Ron rescued me from a cold water line valve replacement that I swore I could handle on my own. That darn ferrule just would not budge, even with the puller I bought from the big box store (whose employee assured me it would work). Ron used his professional plumber expertise and some elbow grease and removed that ferrule in less than 10 minutes. This was something that took me hours (and hours and hours) with YouTube videos and multiple visits to the hardware store to fail at completing. After removing the ferrule, Ron attached my new valve and hose, tightened up my garbage disposal and even pointed out that my dishwasher hose was way too short (which is why I sometimes had sink backup into my dishwasher) before attempting to make it work better. Do yourself a favor: Call Ron. I'm a single mom with a limited budget, so I tend to try to DIY a lot of projects. In this case, I should have called Ron in the beginning. It turns out my plumbing issue is beyond a rooter fix and requires plumbing that he doesn't specialize in. But what was great about Ron and $59 Rooter & Plumbing was the he still gave me the time to help me understand as well as try figure out where my problem spots might be without ripping into walls and the floor. Ron is a lifesaver! My wife and I just purchased our first home and moved in 3 weeks ago. When we did a load of laundry the laundry room flooded. Well the seller had given us a home warranty so we should be okay right? Not really... The warranty company sent a terrible company called First Choice Plumbing to our home. First Choice gave a 2pm-6pm window and didn't make their first trip until 8PM. That was just to diagnose. A second visit was scheduled for what we had hoped was a fix, this time their plumber didn't arrive until 10:30pm. Then they wanted us to spend 250 dollars to do a camera in our laundry line today. So with me being fed up, exhausted, and angrier than ever, my wife took to Yelp and we found Ron's company. He not only answered on a Saturday, he came to our house within 30 minutes of the call. Right away he knew the problem was not lack of washouts, or sludge in the pipes, or having too short of a hose for the water volume the washing machine produced, or any of the other myriad issues that First Choice invented... The issue was that we didn't get the right section of pipe properly snaked. Less than 20 minutes at our house Ron had the issue resolved and not only saved us money but did the right thing in the process. I wish I would have found him 3 weeks ago. I cannot speak highly enough of his prompt service and thoroughness. He's even provided a 30 day warranty for the work. Thank you fellow Yelpers for recommending Ron! We had a leak in the wall somewhere, and were stumped. We called Ron and he came out right away to take a look. He figured out the problem was in a specific area of the wall, probed it, and tracked down the leak. His son Stephen came out to assist with the job, and they got the leak repaired quickly. Ron was up front about the pricing, and explained how the repair would be done so it won't happen again. Ron took the most straight forward approach to fix the leak, and the least aggravation involved. I have a simpler repair than what may have been suggested by others and I'm very glad!! Glad I found Ron plumbing service on Yelp. 1st time I had his son Steven show up to de-clog 2 bathroom drains. Steven was on time and did both drains within 45 minutes! All for just $59 each. Now the water drain smoothly. 2nd time Ron came out for a kitchen leaking faucet. He came out on the same day i called him. Toilet barely flushed. I pumped the septic tank out (yes it needed it badly). Still toilet barely flushes. Called Ron because of his rave reviews on yelp. He answered and came over himself right away. Before he started with the rotor rooter he said let's investigate the issue. He was thorough, better than a Doctor in diagnosing the issue. It was not the lines - it was the toilet itself - clogged up from calcium deposits. He tested the bathtub drainage and sink and then proved it was the toilet by pouring down a large volume of water and it "flushed" perfectly! So, the actual toilet itself needs to be replaced. He said to buy one myself and he'll come back and install it for me. Where in the world in today's time do you find someone so thorough, honest, prompt and no-nonsense?
