We have not had good luck with plumbers in the past and have been hoping to find a good one. A few months ago we had a leak start in the main house overflow valve. Water was running down the driveway and especially during a drought, this was a bad thing. We called Rooter Doc of Los Angeles after trying several others who were not available or wanted $100 to just look at the issue. Vic of Rooter Doc had me text a photo of the problem and showed up the next day and fixed the issue quickly for a very reasonable cost. I was particularly impressed by the time he took to clean up and make sure we were happy. Last week we had a leak in our den ceiling and drywall coming down. I called Vic and again, he came out the next day. He fixed the problem for less than I expected, and again did a great clean up job even beyond the part caused by the repair. I was befuddled for months by a significant leak my parents had at their house apparently due to a solar tankless water heater that they had installed on their roof. I sent out a few requests and heard back almost immediately from Vic at Rooter Doc. They came by the very next day (I'd reached out late the prior day) and within minutes helped me understand the issue, specifically how the broken solar water heater was attached to my parents' other, non-solar tankless water heater and how it was affecting the use of hot water within the house. Water pipe sprung a pinhole size leak. Called around to a few plumbers and they either could not get me into their schedule for several days or their estimate came in notably higher.
