Rooter Hero didn't honor their promotion and tried to bait and switch in an emergency situation. Although they were able to send a technician within 2 hours, they couldn't solve the problem and kept increasing the price. Invoiced me $340 after the service for running a short snake and camera (promotion was $77 for drain service + free camera inspection). The camera found a rag stuck in the main sewer line. I negotiated it down to $200. To remove the rag, they recommended the line to be hydrojetted and quoted me $3500! This was for less than a 50 ft line in a townhome. I asked if the rag could be removed by snaking alone and they were going to charge $400 more to use a longer snake which according to them may not be able to remove the rag. I ended up contacting an independent plumber who charged me $800 for hydrojetting + fishing out the rag. read more

I called around 11:00 AM and they offered 3x2 hour time slots for the same day. I picked the earliest one 12:00 to 02:00 PM. To my surprise the gentleman arrived around 12:30 PM. I found them in the mail. Long story short, they lured me in with their cheap $70 service fee. Once they arrived at the house, they guy opened the clogged pipe and claimed that he can't unclog it. Instead, he wanted $1200 for changing the pipe. I told him to put it back and I will get a different plumber. He refused and said that he broke it and he can't put it back. After lots of negations, he charged me over $401 to replace a 7 inch plastic pipe! What a scam! The lesson is you need to find a regular plumber who will tell you the estimate ahead of time so there is no surprise. I would never use them again read more

We had 2 sinks that were barely draining. The first quote I received was $400, way too much. I could buy a snake and do it myself. I then contacted Rooter Hero Plumbing and they sent Jimmy Serrano out. Jimmy knows Customer Service. During the clean out, the old pipe just broke off - it was corroded, and just old. As he said, metal and water don't go well together for long.
