    RIDICULOUS QUOTE

ZERO STARS!!!! This Company Is The Absolute Worst!!!! I called yesterday for my toilet that wouldn't flush! The tech came in and looked at my toilet like he'd never seen anything like it before, it's a regular toilet! He immediately told me I needed a new toilet and he could install it today, meaning yesterday. I told him no way, I don't want a new toilet, I want this one fixed. He went to his van and "got a quote" of $824 to fix my toilet! He then told me I needed to pay $412 upfront in order for the parts to be ordered and he'd see me next week! Mind you this is my ONLY toilet! I called a friend this morning told him my toilet was broken and he came over. He fixed my toilet in 20 minute, NO PARTS, NO TOOLS just his hands! The chain had come off the flusher bar. In addition to this review I will be calling the BBB on this company first thing Monday morning!!!!! I'm a single older female who knows nothing about toilets and I feel VERY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THIS COMPANY! I did notice another zero star review written by an elderly woman and she too was taken advantage of, I'm just saying! LADY'S be careful of these vultures!!!!

I paid for the inspection services but I feel was way overcharged, for 2 people to be there for 20 mins to see what the problem was. Then upon inspection, said it was going to be a $2800 job. I had multiple quotes and estimates that day and chose someone else who quoted/estimated $440 for 2 hours of work and for a $6 coupler piece that needed to be fit around the pipe. I'm so glad I saved thousands of dollars by not choosing a Rooter man. Gouging at its finest. I'm so thankful for the other plumber.

The one and only included picture in the $350 inspection.

UPDATE JUNE 27TH:…read more Sir, you know very well that's not all you did, you guys demanded payment without even assessing my sink first. I HIGHLY doubt you do that when you visit your white client's homes. I was also very welcoming and friendly to both of you. If you guys don't want to work with non-white customers, just add a sign to your business that clearly states "WHITES ONLY". ------------------------------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't even know how to address this, but here it goes: Do you guys demand payment upfront before even assessing the clogs from ALL your clients? When I opened the door, both technicians looked at me up and down and asked first if it was an apartment and told me they couldn't work here, to which I asked "why tho?" And the sir replied "because you have to let property management know, who's gonna pay?" as if thinking we weren't paying? I mean that's exactly why we called you, because WE WANTED TO PAY TO FIX OUR PROBLEM. Then after telling them that we of course were paying (hello?), before even assessing the clog, payment was demanded, and they didn't start until payment was confirmed. The other guy wouldn't even acknowledge me or respond to me when I made him a direct question. I'm not calling it racism, but it very well felt like I was being racially profiled. Yes, they fixed the problem and I'm very thankful for that, but the experience was very awkward. If you guys tell me that's your MO with ALL your clients and you ask for the payment first before even starting, I'll consider editing rating and review.

Our home warranty sent a plumber out, who I'll review separately, to diagnose and fix a basement…read morebathroom that stopped drawing. They said it was a mainline issue and we would have to find someone else. Based on Yelp reviews we called the Plumbing Doctor and had an appointment the next day. As it turns out the basement doesn't go to the mainline but goes through an ejector tank & pump up to the mainline. It took Dave about 3 minutes to diagnose the problem as a failed pump. He basically cleared the schedule the next day, had the pump replaced and we're back in business. Communicated through the whole process. Even though dealing with sewage in our basement the job was done spotlessly with a very thorough clean up. Pricing seems very reasonable though we didn't shop around. I'll give this locally owned small business a call every time and just skip my home warranty in the future. Much less headache for a reasonable price.

They've helped me with water heater maintenance, replacement, and some other plumbing projects. I've even had Mike the owner come out and help with estimates, and I have really appreciated him working with me on different options and really explaining the options, pros, cons, and costs. I've always found them straightforward to work with, and they get the job done correctly and in the expected time.

Having had several great experiences with Michael's in the past, we asked them to come out. Scheduled same week. Rob was friendly and walked through how he was gonna replace and reconnect our drain pipe. Sounded good but after all was attached, our washer and dryer were further out from the wall. It looked a little awkward but thought it wouldn't be a big deal. We tried using it as is for a week before calling them back to ask if they could set it up the original way. Kevin came out to redo the drain pan. He mentioned that he discussed our situation with the previous plumber as well as the owner to prepare for the visit. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the newer builds structuring, and walked me and his assistant through how things would be set up. I appreciated the step-by-step so I could understand how it could be disassembled in the future. No extra fees for the second visit since it was a return appointment. Appreciated them coming back to adjust the set up so our washer and dryer was closer to the wall like before. Thank you!

I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). Thank you, Chris! You're the absolute best! Sierra Air is *very* lucky to have you on their staff.

Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.
