Went here for brunch and it was not great. First, I didn't know the place was in a hotel. Second, the food was bland didn't taste like anything. I had the Dominican Benedict and my friend had the chicken and waffle. Neither of them even had salt, just bland and flavorless. We had 2 pitchers of the bottomless sangria. The first pitcher was okay but the second seemed watered down. It just felt like we drank water and ate cardboard. The place itself was decent nothing too wow. The only plus of the whole experience was the DJ playing good music. Other than that there was no real reason to be there. The servers were nice. 1st time here. I got the waffle. It was really good. Didn't come with butter and when I tasted it, I didn't feel a need for it. Got the penne alfredo with shrimp. The noodles were al dente. Perfect flavor and well cooked shrimp. Also got a lemon drop, also perfect and didn't have to ask for a sugar rim - the bartender knew. I like the layout, decor, staff and the energy. Rosas has been one of my go to places for years. I have been coming here ever since their previous location. I love all the drinks especially the lychee martini. The appetizers are delicious especially the calamari and wings (not pictured) I also love the vibe and music. The rooftop is such a nice escape in the summer. I wanted to try this place soooo bad. It's super cute, I didn't see the downstairs but the rooftop is too cute. The dj played all the tunes. However, let's get to it. I had a reservation thru open table, don't know why they didn't have my reservation in their tablet but I showed them my open table that I had a reservation they said ƙ maybe the lady downstairs can see something we can't. So they made me go downstairs & she saw the same thing. So she then called upstairs to see if they had room for us they said yes so we went back upstairs. I personally feel the back & forth could've been avoided since there was only 1 couple upstairs ALL the other tables were empty. So if you knew you could accommodate me there was no need for the back & forth. But ƙ I didn't let that mess up my mood. I get up there they say it's prefixed I'm like cool. They had unlimited everything which was dope. The food was okay. We had 3 chicken & waffles, 2 steak & eggs. The drinks were good we had a pitcher of virgin piña colada & mimosa. We were supposed to be seated for 90 minutes only they let us sit longer since the tables weren't taken so that's a plus. Now when it came to the check we asked the waiter if everything was included because he didn't give us a paper receipt so we didn't know what was included & what wasn't. He said yes taxes service charge all included & he even said so it would be $94 a person so we said ƙ. After paying he then says you can also add a tip for me. So now we confused since he said everything is included we were under the impression the gratuity was included too. The service charge was $72 so we thinking that's the gratuity. We are great tippers all the time. But that rubbed us the wrong way. Had he said it would be $94 plus tip then it would've been a bit more clear. The food, drinks, and service are the reason I came back for a second brunch--they're all fantastic. Unfortunately, the way this restaurant handles payment completely overshadowed an otherwise great experience. When it was time to pay, the handheld device was already opened to the gratuity screen, making it seem like I was simply choosing my tip. I selected 18% because I always tip and have no problem taking care of good service. After the total seemed unusually high, I had the receipt sent to my phone and realized they had already added an automatic 20% gratuity to the bill. I had unknowingly tipped an additional 18% on top of that.As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I'm all for gratuity, but this feels incredibly misleading. If you're already adding 20%, the payment device should make that impossible to miss instead of immediately prompting guests to add even more. It honestly felt like I got tricked into double tipping. What's even more frustrating is that there isn't a clear "No Additional Tip" option. Instead, you're presented with percentages as if gratuity hasn't already been included. Whether intentional or not, that's a deceptive payment experience. I'll come back because the food is genuinely great, but this needs to be fixed. No customer should have to inspect their receipt after paying to make sure they weren't charged gratuity twice. read more

Saturday Brunch! We were looking for a cute brunch spot close to home and Rosa's came to mind. I came here the first 2 weeks of opening and wasn't impressed. I know there's always a learning curve with new restaurants so I thought I should give them another try. Glad I did! My experience this time was a 10 out of 10. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and seated. The DJ was playing all of the good tunes. My waiter came over shortly after being seated to take our order. My BF and I shared calamari, tostones, chicken chunks, wings, fried cheese and a waffle. EVERYTHING was soooo good. And the espresso martini I had made me fell warm and fuzzy LOL. Tik Tok lead me there and glad they did. The "Park" is not the Park Avenue in Manhattan but its fine. Cool spot inside a Wydam hotel property. It was cute and quaint. Had our holiday staff party here. Didn't get to experience their menu as we were catered with apps. (Wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, calamari). Mozzarella sticks are a must have. They are seasoned just right. Calamari was ok as well. Will have to go back to try the menu. The drinks were drinking. They are the only restaurant, that I know that has brunch all day, everyday. Their happy hour is from 4-7 pm. But on Mondays and Wednesdays, happy hour is all day. Service was good, our server was Jonas. And he offered some recommendations.Music was mostly r &b. Everyome was jamming. The drink I ordered was the coconut margarita. And my sis had the passion fruit mojito. We both enjoyed. Hi! First, I would like to say what a beautiful atmosphere you have for a really great brunch. The DJ was spinning all of my favorite hits while the sangria was poured into my (and my husband's) glass. We had a delicious meal of avocado toast, Dominican Benedict, pico de pollo and fries. We enjoyed the sangria and the passion fruit mimosas. Upon being sat, our waiter excitedly told us that it was your fourth year anniversary! Congrats! The vibes were great from the moment we sat down until we entered the rooftop (which our waiter specified we could attend with our children (6yo & 3 mo) before 5:00 PM) Although I suppose it is not traditional to bring your daughters out with you on a day like today, my husband and I do not have family support. He and I raise our children on our own and we pride ourselves in our children being well behaved and fun in these situations. Upon entering the rooftop, we are told children are not allowed. That is fair, as anyone is entitled to run their establishments how they see fit. However, after spending $150 on brunch and looking to continue the party with more friends visiting us, we were unaware of this policy. In fact, the opposite. We were told children were welcome until 5 PM. Arriving upstairs we were told we were allowed in, but we must stand at a high top, regardless of the many empty tables around us. As we were planning on spending more money in your establishment, we decided standing wouldn't work for our family. Unfortunate, considering we are avid hookah smokers and would have loved a few more cocktails with our friends. No signs were hung saying 21+, nor was it listed on your website. This is discriminatory and biased. It certainly puts a damper on any future experiences and any recommendations we may give to our many friends in the local area. It was our first time for the moms meeting and we chose Rosa's At Park. The music was good, food was good also. I had the shrimp pasta, my son Dejuan had the Oxtails. He said the meat was tough, but tostone n rice was ok. Gigi and her moms had the special salmon, crab cake and something else. They said their food was ok. We also had the Unlimited sangria for 29.99. Our bill came to $290.56. Then we went to the rooftop. It was fine, I was showing momma Duke the atmosphere upstairs. The only thing I didn't like was that they wanted to charge $20 to stay on the rooftop, so we left. We just spent $290 down in the restaurant now you wanted us to spend more money....naw we good. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area! It's a bit confusing to find the restaurant at first because it's actually located in the hotel. The restaurant itself is small but had a great ambiance. I came during happy hour and they offered some great deals on drinks. For my entree I ordered the shrimp, chicken, and steak tacos which were all delicious! We also ordered the plantain wontons. Didn't care too much for this. To be fair, it is a restaurant in a hotel. The food was okay, except the empanada, that was empty and just tastes like the exterior.

Coming in, I was a bit confused cause it's within a building, but this is a really cute little spot in the Bronx!! The bar is a bit small compared to the amount of people who stand around it, but the drinks were good (props to Skye) and the food was decent. I highly recommend their Garlic Shrimp Pasta. It was perfectly al dente although I did had to order extra pepper flakes on the side. They even have a photo booth section and a DJ playing, I guessing cause it was a Friday night? Went for brunch on a rainy Saturday - keep in mind the restaurant is inside a hotel - which I wasn't expecting as it doesn't say that on their website so don't think you're in the wrong place when you arrive. The ambience is cute with various pictures throughout the restaurant and swing in front of the green wall with a large ring light - perfect to take those IG pictures lol. It actually tasted like punch with no alcohol. We placed our orders - their menu isn't extensive but it does have the basics. My daughter and I ordered burgers, my granddaughter had the chicken fingers. While we waited for our food, the DJ was setting up. My granddaughter's chicken fingers came out in five minutes nice and hot. While the fingers were fried a tad bit too hard I tasted a piece and they were really good. Our burgers came out not too long after and again everything was hot and delicious! I love a good burger and theirs hit the spot! They have some of the best and strongest drinks I've had in the area and the rooftop is a vibe when you come with a large group. The food is also yummy, we got the cauliflower, the Mac and cheese bites, the wings and the plantains wontons and they're all delicious. Their margaritas are strong and good despite being pre-made for who knows how long. My job loves hosting private events here and the bartenders are always kind and the music is a vibe. the only reason this isn't a five star is because after spending hundreds there from 3pm-5pm for our event on the roof. A gem of a place in the Boogie Down, actually it's within the Wyngate hotel. There are 2 spots to chill, eat and propagate. Service was excellent. The main restaurant at lobby level and the loft top. Technically their rooftop but when you have other buildings taller than the hotels, there's only one view and that's not a bad thing. The food was above average. The drinks overpriced but you pay for the ambience which is top notched. The DJ plays contemporary jams that are not ear blistering but at a level you can conversate. The rooftops volume is a bit louder. The rooftop is decorated nicely with pink umbrellas, artificial turf and photo-op spots. Here's the biggest con for anything you order: taxes(8.875%), service charge???(20%), use of credit/debit card (3%). Now, ask 3 people what exactly is a service charge and you'll get 3 different answers. I think it's a vehicle for the public to indirectly pay service workers. SCAM! Oh and the audacity to suggest a tip! Other than surrendering 31% worth of fees, it's a chill place and I would recommend it. Just come financially prepared. read more
